Kid wasn't a threat but when LEO rolls up they don't know that. Plus this was a situation where a kid was stealing something and in another person's home. Sad situation overall.

What a moron. Only time my hand ever got stuck in my pocket was when I was trying to pull my phone out. Yeah, he looked like he was trying to pull something out.

The number of people who commit serious crimes such as home invasions that go on to become doctors/engineers/etc. has to be exceptionally low, but we're supposed to believe that all of the criminals from these stories were going to be in the small percentage of exceptions. That nonsensical narrative is getting extremely old and tired.
Disgusting people that defend this chit. I've never broken into somebody's home, but if I ever did, I'd be scared to death that I might get killed in the process.

If a cop has me in his sights and my hand is in my pockets. I'm going to very calmly say I have nothing in my hands, and I'm going to slowly take them out, palms open, to show the officer, while slowly raising them high. Sudden movements do not mix with a trigger finger of any sort, twitchy or not.

I don't normally agree with these types of executions, but cops were right to take action on this one. Dude made a questionable move. I have a question for you misc brahs tho.
When there are 3+ cops surrounding a criminal why do they immediately go for fatal shots without even seeing a weapon? I understand officers need to protect themselves but there's 3 officers with guns already drawn. Can they not aim for shoulders/arms/legs or setup a taser shot? The cops already had their weapons drawn and the kid had nothing aimed at them from the video. It wasn't even clear if he was armed or not. From the articles I found, kid only had a screwdriver. Officers are supposed to be trained to handle situations like this instead of just fear for their lives and shoot to kill in every questionable situation. That's what a civilian would do.
Before the misc tears me a new one, I'm not saying the kid didn't **** up. Clearly he ****ed up by not following any instructions given to him. But you're telling me 3 of our trained officers of the law needed to be afraid of some 17 year old with no drawn firearm while they all had their guns pointed at him? From the video the cop on the right was plenty close to shoot his taser at the kid and be done with the whole situation.
A lot of you bruhs say you'd do the same thing and I understand that, you're civilians. I always thought cops are supposed to be better than that though and learn to de-escalate situations. Even if the criminal isn't compliant.
Would like serious replies please.

It wasn't clear he was armed or not, but the cops don't know that. You break into someone's house, it's reasonable to think you're armed and dangerous.
