But yeah I am a child of the 80's and I remember fat was everyone's enemy. Had to be fat free, high in carb. I had NO DAMN idea what the bb community was upto, didn't have internet, played sports and drank all kinds of sugary drinks. Then very early 90's there was this Atkin's diet, people were losing weight off fat/protein/little to no carb diets and they were called nuts and bertstared at. Slim Fast was a fade diet for awhile then too.

My grandfather, who you remind me a lot of btw, told me this when I was a kid, but said once a week, like Sunday they'd have a pretty big breakfast with the family. What was this the 50's?

Seems to be the case in some of Europe too. Was watching Greek TV and noticed this type of light breakfast tons of times, really stood out to me.

When I was in college, this really fit looking Vollyball chick, hot as hell, had to do a speech for speech class,
She told us she was pre diabetic and had high cholesterol.

Mind was blown, this was about 10 years ago, she did mention she was only eating pizza and drinking soda most of the time as school lunch was basically that back then.

Not sure now how kids eat, but it looks like it’s mostly wrong

We're scared of not eating. Go on any video where someone shows what they eat and read the comments, advising people to 'eat more' this is not good advice etc.

It's purely calories in vs calories out, right? Eating nothing but sugar, throughout the day, spiking your insulin the whole time, that's no different than intermittent fasting with the same calories from proteins, fats and maybe some slower-digesting carbs?
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

70 years ago people had to get up at the crack of midnight and walk 20 miles uphill in a blizzard just to get to school. Not a lot of time to mess around making breakfast.

Another brainless shill.

Breast milk is high in cholesterol and saturated fats. Babies are in a ketogenic state in their first 2-3 years of life. How many babies die of heart diease? Ketogenic state along with a high cholesterol diet is the natural state of mankind.

i remember in hs, in health class, we were taught the food pyramid with the grains on the bottom.
this was in the mid 90s, when we didnt have nutritional info labels. i asked the teacher, by the time we get halfway up the pyramid, we're already over 2000 calories, which was the recommended diet for everyone regardless of weight and age or lifestyle.

she basically shrugged it off and said " nope its good, lol" and kept going.
