This doesbt apply to everyone obviously but it's more or less true for both men and women, women especially. Once the pounds dont drop after she gives birth they self destruct, eat garbage and do zero physical activity. All of those things massacre women's bodies worse then men imo. Then the shame of their bodies causes them to become unhappy and depressed which causes overeating and terrible eating habits. Very few women have kids and revert back to pre-knocked up bodies.
Those are what we call chitty mothers.

My wife got some serious gains during her pregnancy and feels awful about it. We certainly don't want to raise a fat child and set a bad example, and so we have to do our due diligence.

She's lucky she is a master swimmer and can shed that weight pretty quickly.

And there's no excuse for "lack of time" or whatever. My YMCA includes 2 hours of free day care per day starting at 3 months old. Many gyms offer something like this.

28 year old brah checking in. I'm actually looking forward to my 30s as well. So far, every year of my life has gotten better because of the dedication I have to my goals. I am not in the best shape of my life that I have ever been, but I think I will be by the time I am 30. I've been pretty dedicated in the gym and staying active. just need to fix up my diet. Career is going well. Putting away for my retirement. Traveling to new places every year. Haven't settled down with any one woman, but maybe I will if I meet the right person.

my 20's started off great. graduated college and had a bright future ahead of me
mid 20's absolute disaster

late 20's (im 28 now) move to a completely new area and my life trajectory has been looking up ever since.

its sad as other have mentioned in this thread. many people use their teens/mid 20's to grow and then they get stagnant once they get settled into their careers. from that point on they live on autopilot with kids.

You sell paas, doubled your quota for a half and will only make $30k over OTE? What kind of crap sales/commission plan are you on.

When I was selling PaaS, if I doubled my number I’d be in the $6-700k range at an OTE of $280k

I'm definitely not worried. All the men in my family have had pretty awesome lives in their 30s and 40s. Countless vacations, more money, flexible schedules. It's not all bad, misc.

20s is great because you're young and most things are a new experience. Doesn't mean life is over afterwards.

I think people are okay with aging more if they dont have kids early or dont get married too early to the wrong person.

Every townie I see when I go back home that had a kid right after HS or in their early 20s looks fat and miserable now. Everyone that held off looks a lot healthier and happier.

If you marry the right woman, ye. One of my best friends is married and he’s been living a great life. In fact it’s potentially better if you find the right partner. But if you marry a bitch your life will probably suck.

So either marry the right partner or don’t marry imo. Don’t rush anything becuase of external pressure.

I'm 36 and Agree that there is PLENTY to look forward to past you 20's. Hell, I'm even more excited about my 40's, assuming i take care of my body, eat right, and that my career is on track.

but my biggest regret...

“If I’m tied down what’s the point”.... you really don’t understand the point here. Even if you are married, you can still be unfulfilled and unhappy. You can still feel worthless.

It almost has nothing to do with whether you’re single or not.

Completely agree. I didn’t start properly investing until I was 31 or so. Had savings sitting around doing nothing and procrastinated. Good advice.

I was talking about how a babyface finnaly brings its benefits/outscsles regular/more mature looking faces in late 20s/ 30 specifically with pulling women, and that’s what I meant by saying it’s somewhat irrelevant by then if I’m married, although having a young face then will still be nice.

In my experience, early 20's were the most fun period in my life

Reasons:

Can hang out with 18-22 age range
No one has the responsibilities they do when they're older
Girls are hotter, better shape, and don't have kids yet
Life seemed more carefree

Now I'm older, all my friends have full time jobs, can't hang out. All the chicks are married, have kids, aging, out of shape. The single ones at this age seem bat**** insane.

It depends what you value. Life is still awesome as I near 30. Still in good shape, regular sex with a hot gf, make lots of money, looking forward to starting a family in the next 5-10 years, etc. But now I also work 50-70 hours per week (depending on how busy the week is). Which means less time for the gym compared to university when I never even had to go to class to do well. So I am not as in good shape as my early 20s. Even if I still lift and always will, my physical peak has passed. It also means less time for friends. We still hang out but all of us are working professionals now. Some are getting married. It is harder to find the time. The days of banging a new sloot every weekend while going the bar with the boys are also gone.

If you value money and family more than free time, sex with randoms, and partying, then your 20s might not be your glory days. But many people would prefer the latter, which is fair enough. For them, the 20s are GOAT.

Sounds like my 20s. Only I wouldn't say they were terrible because I had an awesome time at school partying while the student loans were being accumulated. Tons of free time because no job yet. Etc.

How do you earn six figures though only working 20 hours per week?
