In this book Dale Carnegie (or whoever) wrote how the man in question met a guy who was extremely into gardening. Although he had no interest in such a matter, he wanted to be in good relations with him so asked question after question - Never really giving any input from his side. Later that day, the gardening fanatic spoke about this man with great furore - "This man is an amazing conversationalist!".

I don't like sports, I think I'm better off actually doing it instead of sitting and watching. But if someone says they like football, I get them to talk about it because I've acknowledged people feel good when they talk about their interests. I wouldn't want someone to just say "I hate mountains" and that ends the conversation. And that's an example of good social skills vs not. And how in any way am I being fake there? I still don't like sports, but I respect the person enough to let them talk about it.
Into- Mountaineering, running & Djent/Progressive music.
Anti- Lack of accountability. Censorship, fat acceptance, & current wave feminism. That's why I left the UK.

They say 60%-90% of communication is non verbal and I believe this. If you are starting with the idea that you're a loser, ugly, fa etc... so what's the point in even trying this will come through in your tone and body language without even saying anything.

I also notice that any practical advice is immediately shot down without even considering it with "what would you know you're good looking, confident etc...?" I'm not denying that there's truth in this but it seems the purpose of these incel forums isn't to try to figure out solutions but rather to re-enforce the already negative feelings they have about themselves and blaming scapegoats (victim mentality).

All this forms a gang/community where these guys feel like they finally belong probably for the first time in their lives. So now to actually get a girl would be akin to betraying the group that finally accepted you.

Also communicating well on-line doesn't necessarily translate to communicating in person.

You feel lost because you expect to.be able to quantify everything in life. You just have to accept that the world in which we live is made up of the material and non material world. We are making progress in the material but when it comes to the spiritual, we may never know what lies ahead. The key is, if you want to be a good person do it for the sake of being good. You start to be happier when you realise that the world doesn't revolve around you. If you have knowledge spread it to people regardless if they believe it or not. Follow your intuition that is what the world really operates on
