Yeah I paid like $12 for a Dine-In AMC theater. I went to a 1:15 show an hour after it's release and there was like 10 other people in the theater... all kind of nerdy and super into it. They knew exactly what that message at the end meant while I had no clue.

Just got back. Movie was excellent. One thought, is there a reason thanos actually fought people and didn’t just use the power stone to disintegrate them instantly?

I think it's going to be great watching all of these movies in order years from now after Marvel has fizzled away. People who are being born now are in for a treat... can just jump from movie to movie and not have to wait months/years for a ****ing sequel.

He isn’t pure sociopathic, evil. He believes he is in the right and saving the universe. He’s just crazy. He legit loved his daughter but killed her anyway. He let Starlord live initially because he had guts. When he was tossing fools at the end left and right, he wasn’t using excessive force.

Sort of like how Magneto wanted equal right for mutants but was more militant about it. All the best villains are heroes in their own minds and just differ ideologically from the heroes.

Best Marvel villain to date, since they don’t own Magneto yet.

Not a bad idea. Been years since the original GotG.

Realistically... how many years of movies does Marvel have left? I am unfamiliar with the comics and I'm sure they can milk this cow for another decade if they really wanted to, but at some point I think a proper ending will be fit.

Disney spent $4 billion to purchase Marvel in 2009. They will be making films based on those IPs forever.

I get all that, but when they’re literally standing in the way of his “life’s purpose” I wouldn’t think he’d screw around. When you want to eliminate half the population of the universe, what’s a few Avenger casualties in the process?

In.

What're some characters that haven't been introduced cinematically yet that you would like to see in a future movie?

Because to him it needs to be fair. In his flashback, he mentioned wanting to do genocide by random so the elites had no better odds than the peasants. He wanted to leave their fates up to the gauntlet. IMO if he didn’t have to kill anyone to get the stones then that’s the way it would’ve went.

Do you use your gun to kill insects? Same concept. Guy has all but one infinity stone. Anything other than backhanding them would have been overkill and wasted time.

True. It’s also why he made Drax and Mantiss live after originally turning them into goo in the beginning of the movie (when he met the Collector)

Again, I agree with, and understand this. But especially after the Avengers very nearly took his gauntlet, I would think he wouldn’t risk it. Doesn’t really matter, it’s a small nit pick, and really doesn’t detract from the movie.

Great movie. Best super hero flick by far. Every single actor was on the top of their game

But Thanos' motivation makes zero sense. How does killing half the population solve anything? Earth's population alone has doubled in the last 50 years. Does he plan on having a universe wide culling every few decades to keep populations down? If his goal is really to ultimate save life, can't he just pop new planets and resources into existence to sustain growing populations? or simply alter realty so that resources are infinite?

or am i just overthinking a dumb movie

Literally paying $5 extra to have a more well-behaved audience. Legit. Realized this once. I see every blockbuster in 3D, whether it needs it or not to not have to listen to kids and trashy people ruin the movie.

Used to have to wait 2-3 weeks to see new action movies or other people would ruin them until I noticed this. Now I just avoid opening night and see a 3D the next day. Works like a charm.
Haaa, never thought of this. I had a family next to me that brought all their 7 y/o and younger to the movie - one of them was legit screaming for like 10 minutes. We need to have mandatory parental classes or sterilization.

My mom would legit pull us out of the theater if we talked as a kid beyond asking to use the restroom. When I see a kid throw a tantrum and the parent ignores it while the kid ruins the movie for everyone, my mind is blown.

My mom would give my brother one hard stare and he’d usually shut up instantly. I remember one time he kept talking and she pulled us out of that theater, gave him a hard smack and send him to his room for the rest of the day.

Was so mad I missed the rest of the movie. Went and saw it later alone with my dad. Was the first X-men.

Parents these days are chit.

Great movie. I loved it. Actually understood what the fuk was going on since I don't follow the Marvel comics and story that much

I waited for after the end credits expecting someone to pull something out of their ass and stop Thanos & revive all the people that just got nope.jpg'd. Didn't happen. Left satisfied/10.

From wat Feige has said, they know the general whereabouts of where they want the story to go for atleast another 10 years. Which was before the Fox/Disney deal came to place, which will introduce the FF and Xmen and villains such as Galactus and Dr Doom... They could easily have decades worth of story on film.

marvel will try it with marvel girl / mrs marvel but lets be real; wonder woman was decades over due for a live action movie. she was already a house hold name, had products, shirts etc without ever appearing on the big screen. i collect comics and barely know or care who mrs marvel is. all i know is now that wonder woman popped up in pop culture, mm is shoe horned into books with her conservative costume and military (read: dyke) hair cut. most of the audience did not know who miss marvel was at the end credit screen and were literally googling it when someone yelled it out.

loyal marvel fans will probably see her movie just out of curiosity like most people did with ant man, but they will not do wonder woman numbers
