Sort of like how Magneto wanted equal right for mutants but was more militant about it. All the best villains are heroes in their own minds and just differ ideologically from the heroes.
Best Marvel villain to date, since they don’t own Magneto yet.

Where was Adam Warlock?
I thought Thanos' voice was too bland. Normally, I hate abnormally deep voices for villains because I think it's anti-male, but in this case he sounded too conversationally normal.
Those are my only complaints.
In the comics, Thanos wins and juust gets bored with having won. It's like in the old days of videogames where you could use cheat codes to get through a game. It's tempting to use them but when you do, the game is no longer fun.
Thanos just gives up in the end.
If they're going that direction, I wish they would have shown him altering reality more, not just killing people.

Just think, the only reason Thanos is evil is because he was born a mutant Timothy and was rejected by people and his family.
This movie is indirectly showing that the only way of living a great life is to be a Chad

It’s why he is such an amazing character.
When you think about it, the only time he purposely kills people is when he is trying to accomplish his goal of taking out 50% of a population. Outside of that, he never really used excessive force. I don’t think he even really started any of the fights. He only fought back when the heroes attacked him. Yeah, he is the mad titan but he truly believes he is doing the right thing. He isn’t just evil for the sake of being evil.
Thanos is hands down the best MCU villain but he may very well be the best character too.

Otherwise yes, absolutely, he makes sense and you can easily see and understand his point of view and actions and even that he believes he is doing right.

Maybe it’s all in the device used? It seems like a device is needed to harness the power (e.g. the Gauntlet, or Loki’s staff). Maybe they make a “gauntlet” suit of armor for Tony, but it kills him?
If we don’t get a scene of Hawkeye using Yondu’s arrow at some point, I’m gonna be pissed.

His comic book version though. It's simple. He wants to wed Death, and she wants deaths to make her happy. So he needs the ultimate power to achieve that. She is petty and selfish like any woman and even after he does all of this, she still doesn't talk to him. Driving him even more desperate and madder.
IMO. Zemo was the best villain in the MCU. Because he was just a regular man, a father. Then he turned the greatest force on earth agasint each other with his rage towards them. He had a motivation that most of us can relate to, while Thanos doesn't. Zemo defeated the Avengers and poisoned them from barely lifting a finger or using a stone. His destruction still lasts until today, while Thanos ash deaths will just come back next movie.
Thanos in the MCU is a fun character because he gives us what we want to see. Destruction and heroes dying. I have a hard time saying that he is the best one though.
"Don't be envious when the grass is greener on the other side because you don't know how much crap it took to fertilize that ground.
Are you ready? "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. (John 8:24).

I still think Thanos' motivations make no sense. What good does killing half the lifeforms do? In one doubling period, things will return exactly where they were. It's a temporary solution to a permanent problem, which nature has already solved. As populations approach carrying capacity, the resources that help them grow become more scarce and they die more often and reproduce less frequently, and the populations just remain near carrying capacity. They don't just go extinct outright. When all resources are exhausted, then yes, life would go extinct, but Thanos hasn't solved that problem. He needs to go around every doubling time for each population and cull half then. That's just dumb. The extinction of life is inevitable, and Thanos should know that. This kind of thing is why it is hard to enjoy movies anymore. The writers didn't really think it through. I think they should have stuck with comic book Thanos' romantic motivations toward Mistress Death.

Don't forget that Thanos has his psychological issues, so his motivations are certainly fueled by his obsessive thoughts.
