To me a woman that is greedy over money or has no problem spending my money is a red flag. Regardless who has/makes more a relationship should be a joint effort to get to a certain goal.
She wants you to spend money that you have scraped together over the years but what sacrafice is she willing to make to help get ahead?

But Op, you knew all of this chit before you moved in with her, right? So why not figure it out ahead of time instead of just moving in and fuking yourself over in the first place?

Now she wants me to spend around 10k on furniture "to get us going". For me that's ok, since that furniture remains mine anyway (I can prove it with the receipts). But in exchange, I expect her to save and pay for the rest of the furniture in the future (also around 10k). She won't do that. She says she will pay anything she has, but she won't make any commitments or any arrangements with me. She totally starts to freak and thinks I don't want to give any of my money and thinks I'm a greedy ****.
All I honestly want is for things to be fair so I wouldn't get screwed if/when our relationship ever becomes doomed in the future. I've read enough horror stories about partners stealing half the other partner's money to be cautious on this front.
TLDR:
- girlfriend has no savings, I have 100k
- we need furniture
- she expects me to pay for it (around 10k)
- she won't make an arrangement where she pays the furniture we need to buy in the future
- we fight ad can't come to an agreement, she thinks i'm a greedy **** and not invested in teh relationship

just compromise and win at the same time...if shes chit with money...make her buy the groceries, and pay for utilities. If she dont know how to save...just make her live paycheck to paycheck.
you own the furniture if you end up splitting and she cant claim her groceries back.

Nothing in her savings is a big red flag.
You dun' fukked up moving in with her. She is going to be the type that expects you to pay for all her chit because you have money. I seen this a fukk ton of times. My mom does it with my stepfather too. It's annoying to witness.
I am so glad my wife is really conservative with money. She had a fukk ton in her savings account when I met her even though she was a senior in college. She also paid for college while going so she didnt have any student loans.

I'm curious, OP: Did you guys have a discussion around finances before moving in? It sounds to me like she's assumed you guys are operating as a married couple with shared finances, when you're under a very different impression.
In other words, she's using the furniture as an engagement ring.

Something isn't adding up here. 29, 100k in savings and you didn't have your own place, and furniture beforehand? So you were both living with your folks and decided it was a good idea to get your first place...Together?

I may have spent that much on furniture in my entire life - maybe.
Her saying what the budget should be spending your money is BS. You telling her to pick up the next $10K is BS too.
On that traditional broke old lady time...sitting in my living room right now.
- couch and 2 chairs from FB Marketplace $250
- TV/entertainment stand from FB Marketplace $150
- 3 end tables and a coffee table from various places $95 total
- 3 lamps w/shades from various places $110 total
- large rug $130 from Wayfair
- 2 free art prints give to me by the couch and chairs people, an antique photo and plaque $10 total
Already had a standing lamp, TV and entry table.
Under $750. Shopping around a lot is a PITA, but I have more time than money.

It's very simple, OP. If she isn't chipping in, it's your furniture. Test it.
Start picking out the most offensively masculine and yet utterly tasteless chit you can find. Get a replica of the Iron Throne and put it right in front of the television. Not even a good one, like a plastic one that everybody can see is cheap as fuark. See if she respects your boundaries and understands that you're paying her way. If she objects and freaks out when you tell her it's your money and your decision, calmly advise her to GTFO of your place.

Why don't you have any furniture yet ? Is it the first time that you're living alone ?
Don't move in together unless you're planning to get married or are already married.
Do not pay for all of it : It should be 50/50 if she has a job and earns money then she should pay.
Cliffs :
-You're already behaving like a spineless *******, this will not end well.

How the fuk are you spending 20k on furniture, what could you possibly be buying. You can fully furnish a place from Westelm, not cheap stuff, for like 10k or less.
