The sad thing is, this will not wake up Disney to fire that shrill harpy, kathleen. They will interpret it to mean it wasn't diverse enough instead of it just being a steaming pile of ****.
Don't get me wrong, I don't care if there's a diverse cast if the story MAKES SENSE. When I say "diverse enough" I mean, it's shoehorning people who don't make sense into the story just to say "hey look at us, were diverse!"
Put the people most qualified who will bring the story to life. Whiney sith lord, uber strong force female nomad, make zero ****ing sense.

The market has spoken. The opportuniy cost of TLJ is now being seen. TLJ+ Solo is working out to be possibly the most expensive film blunder in history. Kathleen is gonna get ejected or they are just going to axe Soy Wars.

TLJ was trash and full of liberal propaganda but Solowasn't. The droid was supposed to be a joke, if anything it was making fun of crazy left-wing feminists and chit with its "equal rights" stuff.
The Lando pan stuff was not even in the movie and was just the media being the media and you idiots getting triggered by it for no reason.

IMO. Kathleen Kennedy cannot be fired.
George Lucas sold the company with some conditions, and that is why Kathleen is at the helm. Because she was CHOSEN by Lucas.
Id imagine the only way this ends is either Lucas assigns another director, or Kathleen steps down. which she wont because shes an effin feminist and refuses to listen to reason (ie she thinks if she gives up, feminists lose).
I have a strong view on remixes of legendary songs, I don't blame the new artist, I blame the old artist for allowing the new person to destroy their art for the sake of money.
Same way Lucas allowed this wilderbeast to control the company. its Lucas' fault just as much as Kathleens. Lucas fooked up episode 1-3 don't foget. Its not as if hes got a 100% success rate.

And the thing with Cobra Kai is while it mocks SJWs, it actually works diversity into the plot. The fat black girl who was getting bullied looks like Steven Universe, FFS. And I felt bad for her when she was getting bullied, and I was happy for her when she started kicking ass. Cobra Kai played to all crowds without pandering, but most importantly it respected the source material and fans of the franchise very much. The Star Wars marketing campaign is to dehumanize anyone that criticizes Star Wars, it's pretty ridiculous and obvious.
Of course, all these retards shouting "The Force is Female!" seem to forget Princess Leia was talking sh!t to Darth Vader all the way back in A New Hope, and by the end of the trilogy she was CHOKING OUT GANGSTER SLUGS WITH THE CHAINS ENSLAVING HER. And it didn't even remotely feel like pandering.

If the last trilogy movie flops like Han Soyo then Soy Wars will most likely be canned for a while.
If the last trilogy movie flops like Han Soyo then Soy Wars will most likely be canned for a while.
I think I said this in the other discussion, but Soylo needed to hit $250,000,000 this weekend just to keep it's head above water. The shill journalists aren't saying it, because they're shills, but this weekend was a massive, massive huge bomb. It's looking like Soylo won't even cover it's own costs to make it, never mind even paying of profit (which even here would need to be 400+ million just to make the sale to Lucas make financial sense).
Let's run this down: Soylo was one of the most expensive movies of all time to make. It was the most expensive Soy Wars movie made EVER. Kathleen Kennedy, in her infinite wisdom, made the decision to re-shoot 80% of this movie and bring in a new director after it was basically already shot. Rumor, or conspiracy theory, is that Lord and Miller, the original directors, made a light-hearted action/comedy movie which poked fun of SJW culture (and Kennedy herself via the L3-37 character). Rather than let the world see this, with light mockery of SJW culture, she spurged out, fired the duo and pushed production back and re-shot the entire movie. Opie Cunningham was brought in to salvage the horror (what was likely a better movie that would have done better in theaters, cost 1/2 as much and wouldn't have been both rushed and taken forever to shoot both at once).
Those costs were extremely high, which is not something anyone is debating.
Then there are marketing costs, which are always high for a A-tier Star Wars movies. I don't know how much they spent here, usually it's equal to the cost of production - although for this movie, likely only 1/2 because they probably only spent what they would have spent had Kennedy allowed Lord and Miller to just make the movie.
Then, it's not like with every ticket sale that every dollar goes to Disney. They split it with theaters. The first weekend, the Lion's share goes to Disney. That's how it works, then as the weeks roll out, more and more of the cut goes to the theaters.
So, Soylo tanking on the first weekend -- that's the weekend they need to make the most if they ever want to make their money back. While Soylo will likely crash even further as weeks roll out, the fact that it tanked on this weekend, it means it utterly failed.
It can't win now. It's likely going to lose money and it will not pay anything in profit to help make the massive buyout of this property make sense to Disney.
This is a serious black eye to Kennedy. It's also a serious test of SJW culture. What Disney does next might pave the way for our culture for years to come -- are they going to double down on the SJW stupidity? Will they let Kennedy make one more attempt to redeem herself with Episode 9 (probably)? Will they shelve her and bring in a new team with non-SJW values? Could they promote Kennedy and give her more power and influence? SJWs in the past and in other industries tend to fail upwards, so you never know... but Kennedy is probably the most powerful and influential SJW of them all, so this is important.

With Cobra Kai, which everyone should watch, the cast was actually incredibly diverse. Main characters are Latino, disabled, (seemingly) gender-fluid and black, women/girls and otherwise "marginalized" people. Yet, have you heard a single SJW praise the show for it? Of course not.
These characters, from this incredibly diverse show, were actual characters. Rey is not a character. She is a Mary Sue. SJWs have a hard time making anything interesting, because at the end of the day the Heroes Journey means strife, suffering and challenge. They hate to challenge their SJW characters, to depict them as anything but perfect, to give them flaws -- because giving a black character a flaw is "racist". Giving a woman a flaw is misogyny. Showing a female character as physically less capable than a man is disgusting and so on.
... so you don't actually have a character. Characters, real ones, have flaws.
Which is why they are not praising Cobra Kai. These are characters. Not SJW fantasies. For those of us who are normal, we like these characters, not because they're fat, black, women, disabled or brown, but because they are well formed actual characters with personalities, flaws and struggles. SJWs *ONLY* identify with surface values, not real ones, so all they see is misogyny, racism, sexism, cultural appropriation, ableism and whatever other stupid Isms.
They not only can not find joy from a diverse show like Cobra Kai, but they actively loath it. It shows that most people aren't these hateful anti-diversity monsters they pretend we are. All these people, who hate Kathleen Kennedy's abomination and SJW crap, readily embrace actual diversity, because it doesn't bother us one bit, we just like GOOD characters and don't care if it's a story about a woman, a Latino kid, a kid with a facial deformity, an overweight gender-ambiguous black girl or anything else. WE DON'T CARE. And for that, they dislike this show. I think some are probably afraid of it, even.
They would be pitiable, if they weren't so cancerous.
Star Wars isnt in any danger. Solo will still profit from toy and dvd sales.

Bring in DVD sales, you also forgot toy sales (which in the past have been huge).
It doesn't fuking matter.
Let's do this again, short and simple this time, because apparently long paragraphs were a little too intimidating for you.
- Soylo cost $500 million to produce.
- Soylo likely cost $250 mil to market.
- Disney gets 2/3 of the ticket sales the first weekend (roughly) and less and less every other week.
- In order for this to be considered BREAK-EVEN, they should make $400 million in profit (to justify they $4 BILLION investment)
... so you're fuking telling me that they're going to some-fuking-how pay off the $750 million it cost to make this train wreck and then make another $400,000,000 dollars from DVD sales? Making $.50 on the dollar more-or-less, from the sales? Soylo is going to somehow pull in 1.75 billion dollars now is it?
That's a lot of toys and DVD sales there, buddy-boy. I don't think so.

2011: 3 billion in star wars merchandise sales

"t’s a shame. They make three times as much on toys as they do on films. It’s natural to make decisions that protect the toy business, but that’s not the best thing for making quality films,” former Lucasfilm insider and producer of the first two “Star Wars” films Gary Kurtz"

This doesnt include dvd, reruns, games etc. The money was never in the movies. Disney made back the $4 billion from merchandise alone before TFA even released,

Now I'm the dummy who doesn't know much?
2011 toy numbers? In 2018? Guess you haven't been to Target and seen the rows and rows of unsold Star Wars toysfrom the Force Awakens, never mind the Rose Ticos left over from Last Jedi or the (soon to be dust covered) L3-37s.
Historically, Star Wars toys have been the Golden Goose, which I brought up before you, but that goose is constipated these days and it's got a big lump of Kathleen Kennedy stuck up it's ass that won't come out.
1.75-2 billion in Soylo DVDs and Rose Tico and L3-37 action figurettes? Yeah, I'm sure they're just fine.
