They are blaming white people now? lmfao Why can't they just admit TLJ was fuking bad? Half the audience hated it. The few people I know who liked it reluctantly admitted the story was dumb and there were a lot of problems, but they praised it for "its diversity". Fuking sad...

This movie is close to officially losing about 50 million or so. Advertising costs combined with production costs are supposed to put the total costs around 400-500 million and the film hasn't grossed that, much less profited that. This has turned out far worse than any movie in recent history that I can think of. Considering the pedigree of the franchise before TLJ, I can't believe this is happening.This should have been impossible.

Any word on how Iger is going to handle KK? The Fox deal with Disney is dependent upon Disney's stock price.The Solo spin-off is now one of the largest financial disasters in movie history...It's under-performing John Carter now. It's quite possible the loss is more in line with the losses incurred by John Carter, totaling around 200 million.

I want to see the new film, but out of principle can't bring myself to go, how can I support people like Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy who actively taunt longtime fans and blame any poor reception on racism/sexism? TLJ sucked because it was a bad movie, don't call me a racist or sexist for pointing that out...

man I cant handle these new star wars. Just the first one force awakens with darth vaders nephew's cousin or whoever the fuk that ******* was supposed to be. it was enough for me.

Personally I wont even bother pirating this trash. but as a Disney shareholder i'm a bit PO that they cant even get the kids to go pay up for their chit movies. I guess even the kids are fed up with their bullchit. Not good.

Similar thing they did with Star Wars. They knowingly and deliberately said **** you to the hardcore Star Wars fans with TLJ, because they figured "we don't need you anymore because everyone likes Star Wars now". But this result now with Solo is starting to show that it's not quite the case. They've alienated the core fanbase of Star Wars, the "new fans" that they think they've developed will lose interest quickly and they're going to have a long way back to recover the trust of the Star Wars fanbase that they should have been catering to from the start.

The main reason TFA and TLJ were such successes were because people were hyped for seeing Han and Luke again, and they got shat on (at least Luke did). Disney were so confident that everyone would love the new characters so they could just **** off the old ones, but nope. The new characters are ****. The only one they kept was Leia (u wot), the one who couldn't even make a facial expression from all the botox let alone act in the film. Also pretty sure they made her diet like crazy for film and ****ed with her health. Andshe'sthe one they kept alive in the film.

The box office for Episode 9 is going to be interesting given they don't have Luke or Han alive to get people to want to see it. They're going to have to ride Luke as a Force Ghost hard af

If Disney wants Star Wars to do well, then they should fire Rian Johnson. He already did enough damage with The Last Jedi, why are they giving him his own trilogy? There's gonna be a lot fan backlash if they keep going down this path.

There's is absolutely no way Rian Johnson is getting another SW film, let alone his own trilogy, after TLJ. They're just waiting for a suitable time to announce that it's been cancelled due to "scheduling issues" or "creative differences" (or they'll just leave it and hope that people forget that they ever mentioned it) .

Yeah they completely chit on the old characters but then forget to develop the new ones in any meaningful way. It's as if they're completely assuming the mere fact they're not white males is enough to carry the franchise now. It's pretty much the most racist bullchit I can think of tbh.

At least the prequels 'felt' like Star Wars movies. The acting was bad and there was waaaaaay too much CGI, but at least ot felt like the Star Wars universe. The new ones, especially TFA and TLJ, just didn't even feel like Star Wars movies.

People hate Star Wars now because TLJ sucked ass and ruined Luke Skywalker. People didn't go see Soylo in retaliation for that. Solo is also nothing special. It's just a mediocre movie in its own right. It isn't compelling, and nobody really wanted this film. Disney is just trying to annualize chit. This isn't about race. This is about a giant company acquiring a franchise and destroying it. They are making it about race to hide the true criticism. The movies suck ass. Kathleen Kennedy and her story team have no idea wtf they are doing. They could have cast the same actors and given them a better storyline, and nobody would have complained.
