Bullchit. The Germans have no problem enforcing proper driving. You can sit on top of an overpass and just watch tailgater after tailgater, people swerving in and out, etc.. Catching people fuking up right-of-way is even easier.

Danger or safety is determined by civil engineers, not by me or you. So if the sign says 60, you must do 60.

There is this roundabout that I travel through almost everyday. The speed limit on it is 25 but everyone goes about 30-35. What this does is it makes it a lot harder for the cars on the sides to get into the roundabout safely. Because they cant get into the roundabout, traffic builds up and a long line forms, all because people are 5-10 over. The funny thing is this: 99% of people will think that going 25mph is way too fkn slow. So everyday you have congestion in this area.

1. We have no idea if he was actually speeding or not. No video proof, plus speedo could be off, who knows.
2. The cop did say next intersection and it's not like he sped off, then the cop got all snippy about it.
3. The guy is overly difficult with the cop, he could have just complied and the cop probably would have left. The fact he has all the law **** printed and laminated etc just shows that he is out to cause trouble.

Both parties were a bit off but guy recording definitely escalated it, probably for youtube/video views/money etc. (listen to his advertisement for himself)

Again, so much BS in your post. In Texas (and many other states) they reduced the speed limit by 10-15 mph to get federal funding all on the basis of being eco friendly. What did most of the citizens do? They just kept going 70/75 for the most part. Had nothing to do with engineering or safety. Had everything to do with getting money.

Furthermore, if your engineers designed a roundabout that then fuked up the flow of traffic because they did a chit job analyzing traffic/human patterns ... then they suck as engineers.

There is a website you can go to and print out that paper he had. The reason people started joining that movement is largely due to police overreach with all these DUI checkpoint things and crap. Ever action (police overreach) has an equal and opposite reaction (guy in video).

So he should be overly difficult from the get go? He was literally baiting the cop hoping to get better videos most likely, I wouldn't even be surprised is he was speeding on purpose to bait the pull-over. I am not saying all cops are perfect but he shouldn't get ****ty with the cop before he has a reason to.
Not sure why you mention the DUI checkpoints... I will gladly go through one every now and then if it means they get one drunk person off the street before they kill me or mine.

At this stage I have nothing else to say really on your personal experience with cops aside from: I have had plenty of experiences with law enforcement and all of them were fairly positive experiences where people were trying to do their jobs. I just can't relate to people like you who say that law enforcement routinely, and as a matter of course, abuse their positions of power. Like I said before, what the person in the video in the OP is doing is a disgrace to the idea of filling a gap created by law enforcement. Before you say 'that wasn't his point', look at his arguments throughout the entire video and how outraged he gets when the police try to simply provide him with guidance (there was no baiting there): he posts 'policesplaining' like some SJW freak would say 'mansplaining!'.

For anyone reading this and wondering what I mean re: 'citizen protectors', take a look at this book:https://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Prote.../dp/0199347557

It is the 'age of decline' that people (largely male) are feeling that makes people want to stand up as 'citizen protectors', often buying firearms to add to the perception of security and safety. This sort of thing warrants discussion - being pissy at cops for barely any reason at all just seems like a colossal waste of time.

How did he 'wig out'? He called for backup in the face of what by any definition is a 'difficult encounter' - someone immediately being argumentative and giving attitude. Go back to earlier in our conversation and recall just how much chit people try to pull on law enforcement. The guy, and you talk about the dude's 'rights'...seriously...rolls his video down the entire way at the end of the video in the presence of multiple cops just so he can yell at one of them to go 'fukk his mother' - and people wonder why I call that guy a 'fat retard'? He's an infantile troll, just in real life. He himself recognized his epic double chin - I do begin to wonder if I'm one of the only ones who paid attention to the entire video.

Yes, thank you. My point is that Nazi Germany carries a historical context that renders it a bit inappropriate when it comes to talking about efficiency in the workplace. The problem you're describing is systemic (which does not make it okay) and here's an example from Germany:

Actually I think that reducing the speed limit by 10-15 does have a lot to do with engineering. The more you push things to the limit(cars, roads) the faster they will break down. By making everything slower, you save money because of less maintenance.

I didn't feel like the guy was being overly difficult. I felt like the original cop was getting all testy because the guy was exercising his Rights. It wasn't until the end of the video that i thought the driver was being a purposeful dik.

As far as the DUI checkpoints. I mentioned they are a large reason for the paper you mentioned that the driver was holding. There are a lot of people (including me) that find them to being overreaching. There is plenty of evidence that shows them using these checkpoints to conduct searches of peoples cars without probable cause (of course they make some chit up). It is your Right to travel freely unhindered unless suspected of a crime.

"exercising his rights" by not rolling down the window is basically just rude and un-needed. Then not answering if that was his current address... what does not answering that solve? IMO not being civil and treating a cop how you would treat any new person you meet is being "overly difficult" see "more difficult than is needed or there is a point to"

It's not. Most, like social security just go into a pseudo general fund to be spent on whatever.

This sort of debate has been done to death numerous times in a few countries and there is only one salient point when it comes down to it (as faxanadu said): the environment. Studies have been done to death and there's no evidence that increasing the speed limit does anything more than increase emissions.

But just try to put a speed limit on the autobahn...that's a quick way to lose loads of votes in Germany.

This dude started off well then became a belligerent idiot towards the end. Can't really blame him for getting angry tho as the cop was a tool.

Cops definitely BS chit all the time because a large percentage of them view themselves as above the law. Some cop blew threw a red light with no sirens or anything and I almost T-boned him last week. Saw him turn into a diner a block down.

No sir it isn't. He is merely protecting himself. He's not answering because:

That's being overly paranoid, I treat interactions with cops how I would say, a bank teller. If a bank teller asked me if my address was current etc. I would just answer and be a pleasant person to deal with.

IF I had a tons of bad interactions with cops my outlook may be different but I haven't... I have been pulled over tons of times (20-30+ prob) especially when I was young and dumb, I always just answer like a normal person, roll my window down, etc... I don't even use sir usually. I have NEVER had a bad interaction with a cop, every time I was doing something wrong I would admit it and accept my fate, and the times it was just the middle of the night (1-2am) with no reason, I realize they are just spot checking for drunks which IMO is probably a good idea.

The mentality of "every cop is out to get me/screw me over" is a bad mentality to have, especially if you are white.

Edit1: I realize again that there are some ****ty situations/cops that happen, but why would you assume EVERY one will be that way?

Edit2: Saw the added video and cliffs, again assuming everyone including gov/cops is out to get you is a crapy way to live and I feel sorry for anyone that waste so much energy living that way.
