The stock has gone from $10 to $16 in a month and has an RSI of 80...in other words technically it is way overbought.

I hear the new line of procs are crashing systems much more often than the intel equivalent, not sure if that's a good buy.

No thanks jeff.

I only go in when a founder is still the standing ceo.

Try twitter, ********, nvidia, amazon, netflix, etc.

New school companies.

You’d have to be an idiot not to invest in Lisa Su if you had any clue who she is.

she's a wiz and has an incredible resume. another reason why I'm happy she's part of their focus. Anyone that has over 40 technical papers for MIT and has written a book about next gen consumer electronics.. pssh, I'm in man.

That's super cool. I don't invest in people, I invest in companies. I mean, I was investing in oil when everyone was running... didn't even pay mind to the CEO. I looked at the financials, the historical cycle of these companies and other factors. There is a future for AMD and it's not in the basement.

Ultimately-- in the end, everything I own will go back into a box so I might as well take a risk.

My strategy is to invest in winners, and there's quite a correlation with founder CEO companies being winners.

You don't even need to invest in small cap founder companies to double your money fast.

Amazon and netflix have been fookin scary. (and more recently TWITTER which has doubled since my entry back in december)

Why are you treating investing like gambling? Unless you know something specific about AMD that you think (with good reason) the market misunderstands, what the eff are you doing?

lol? because it is gambling?

you're putting your money into a company that should perform for you. you bet on teams, fighters or players that should perform for you. If they don't, you lose money. : / And yes..upsets in the market happen just like sporting events.

The stock market is straight up gambling. There is no question about it. I have my play portfolio where I throw my loose change and then I have my long term investments... which is still a gamble. The safest place for your money is in coffee cans.

In respect to AMD: they're a company that has amazing cash flow per share, they have a wonderful and brilliant leader and they're making a lot of noise in the tech industry. Their navi gpu is on par with Nvidia's newest GTX line. Plus, I like them as a company. I'll be completely honest, I took my oil winnings and threw them into AMD and ETFS.

This. Anyone buying now on this mini bull run is playing with fire. Only way to make money in the long term is accumulate when everyone else is selling

I don't know where the top is. But I will tell you this.. I almost always buy on dips. My first investment ever was 5000 shares of Ford back in 2008. I bought 5000 at 1.63.. everyone was selling! Regardless.. I'm incredibly careful (maybe too careful with my money) and I have faith that AMD will take off. If not.. oh well!
