There's nothing wrong with being a little rude, but the way she emotionally reacted to it and threatened to arrest her is fuked up. Cops don't go around threatening to arrest people to subdue them. They either have cause to arrest or they do not. They are not supposed to be emotional or use it as a way to assert authority over people. If a cop threatens to arrest you and you have done nothing and they do not have probable cause at that moment, the cop is basically provoking you and is also technically assaulting you.

I get why the cop over reacted she was being a total brat. Cop asked for her name she gave her full name but not the name on her license and so cop couldn't find her details. When the cop politely tried to explain that she should of given her name as it's on her license so she could bring up her details the girl lost her chit at the cop and so the cop having warned her before arrested her.

Cops were more than professional. When they went to pull her out of the car, she punched the cop. Right then and there she's lucky she didn't get the chit beat out of her. She continued to pull the cops hair, and kick another. How she didn't end up hospitalized is beyond me.

She was underage drinking, a criminal act, and when asked her full name, she didn't give her full name, and resisted. When you are already engaging in a criminal act, it is a good idea to comply with law enforcement.
I think Wincel is one of the worst posters ever, but how is this an anti-woman thread again?
Isn't it a woman cop and a woman defendant?

It seems like one of the few times he's purely talking about the law/officers and defendants....

Cop was unprofessional without a doubt and escalated the situation.... but the young chick was stupid as hell for thinking she could resist arrest like that and get away with it. She threw away all the power she had the second she did that. Screaming like a banshee the whole time while assaulting a police officer... she’s actually lucky as hell that she didn’t get the chit beat out of her. If she was a guy she probably wouldn’t have been so lucky.

In one sentence you say any cop who acts unprofessionally loses their authority (not true) then you say being a little rude is fine. Pick one.

And calling BS on threatening someone with arrest being a bad thing. Its not. Its called giving someone a warning that they're heading down a path that will lead them to jail and giving them a chance to stop before that happens. I do it with my 2 kids all the time, if you don't stop what you're doing, you're going to be in trouble. Turns out this woman wasn't smarter than a third grader because she didn't. And once you're placed under arrest, and in this case it's a valid arrest for being intoxicated in piblic, game over. Public intox is a low level misdemeanor at best and a petty offense in most places. It wouldn't "ruin her life", but a felony for assaulting a cop will. Her bad choice.

This is a bad example for you to use for your daily cop bashing thread because other than being a little rude (not even to the point of name calling though tbh) it was all escalated by the woman who was arrested.

I side with the chick here. Most people get a little angry when stopped by the cops. The girl wasn't even that rude. She was arguing, but not really resisting. The cop could have easily defused this with a couple of calm words. Instead she escalates it further and further.
Suddenly the cop pounces at her without a warning and grabs her. The girl flips out and tries to fight back like most people do, when bullied by someone twice their size.
The internet is full of videos with crazies flipping out at the cops, but this is not one of them.

Now the fact that public intoxication and a 21-year-old drinking age are retarded laws is not the cops faults though. The girl does not seem drunken from the video.

I wonder what happened before the video started? There is not enough evidence in this video to properly assess what fully happened, but just enough "proof" to elicit an emotional reaction from people who already have a prejudice.
It seems like she gave her right name, but the cop didn't believe her, thinking Luna is a first name.

It seems so many times we see the cops provoking people and not just moving along with whatever they are doing.

This is a perfect example just like that Bucks player that parked illegally. The cops need to just issue their citations or make their arrests and move on instead of just standing there escalating a situation.
