But you want to brag about a sport that requires nothing but cardio?

And at it's simplest form can be played with an empty can and two trash cans?

We do not care about soccer, that's a fact. The varsity team at my high school didn't even have tryouts, if you showed up, you made it. We do not care, what's so difficult to understand about this?

Soccer might be the most viewed sport in the world in terms of viewership, but attendance numbers are lower than the NFL. It's the sport for poor people.

I LOVE the hate we get from around the world, LOVE it. You know why they hate? How much hate does Tom Brady get? Lebron? Steph Curry?Because they envy us and need a reason (even a silly reason like soccer) to say they're better than the US in SOMETHING. The cope is soo strong and so real. The US overwhelmingly dominates the world of sport, and has done so for a long time. Makes perfect sense, we a blend of the world's genetics and have amazing athletes as a result.

You foreign bruhs can keep your world cup srs. You deserve it.

I care. I'm pissed. One of the easiest phucking regions to get in the world cup, and they phuck it up.

And to answer OP it's a culture problem, so to speak. We focus on NFL, NHL, NBA, AND MLB all over soccer. While we have the MLS if you're a kid into sports there are much greater career opportunities in other sports. Better scholarships, draft day hype. All that chit that we don't do for soccer.

America has some of the greatest athletes in the world.

However, football is a game that is heavily skill dependent. It is almost an art.

There is a certain panache and creative zest required to succeed in the sport and the USA fall well short in that department. Their entire ethos surrounding sports and everything else just seems to be 'put a bigger engine in it and it'll go faster'.

Michigan/Ohio State draws crowds of more than 100K fans when they play in Ann Arbor.

That's for an amateur contest between teams where the players are between 18 and 22 years old.

A Michigan/Ohio State soccer match might draw 3K fans.

The minumum NFL salary for rookies is $465K per year. The minimum MLS salary is $53K per year.

If you're a top tier athlete, which sport would you choose?

Because it's the ONLY sport the rest of the world has a chance to compete in lmao. Would've thought that'd be obvious by now. Go figure the one sport that doesn't have a decent feeder program in the US because of the insignificance of it is the ONE sport other countries can actually beat us in. And we're really equating dudes running around playing soccer to overall athleticism? Not sure if serious.

Or perhaps we just don't give a ****?

Similarly to the British must not give a **** about any other sport on world except maybe Boxing because they cant' be found in the NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL... bunch of untalented cucks. Can't recall a notable Brit in any of the above leagues. Plenty of Europeans and South Americans. Asians as well.

Yes serious.

BTW rankings on olympics should be Medals/Population.

Of course the US will have more medals than say Netherlands. But then one is 400 million and the other 16.

Edit:
for instances, Brazil is known to be a world power in football. This is in part because everyone there knows that football is a way out of poverty. Another part is due to the fact that brazil has a population of 200 million.
Yet in the their football match against switzerland in this world cup they tied at 1-1. And switzerland has a population of 8 million.

So who's the best at making athletes out of these two countries?

But you obviously do give a ****. And your post is pure angst cope.

Because you have a national team and a league and I see plenty of muricans on here talking about football.

And of course you won't see brits in murican leagues - that's because brits are busy playing internationally recognized sports.

Just pick any US activity.

Nascar, just drive in circles around and around at full speed. Anyone can do that.

Baseball pick any guy in the crowd and he could hit a nice ball and run to the points. Any one can do that.

American football, just get a ball find a gap and run quick hoping your team will defend you. Any one can do that.

Basketball takes skill and I respect that.

Then there is football no one can get a ball go on the pitch and have a hope in hell of scoring, defending your goal from any player etc, there is just so much skill involved.

So hockey, basketball, and baseball aren't internationally competed in?

COPE.

The best athletes from each of the aforementioned sports in the world come to American to play and make millions. They need us more than we need them. You can look across the NHL and NBA and find players from an array of European nations. Can't recall one notable Brit. Asia and South America pump out quality baseball players every year. Can't recall one notable Brit.

Almost the exact opposite in England... all of the England based clubs aren't even majority English, they literally NEED to outsource all across Europe and South America to fill their teams because there simply aren't enough talented Brits. Facts.

Also... ****ing lol @ England. Only sport you cucks care about and they haven't won a World Cup since the 60s.

Hell, Americans cuck the UK in GOLF... one of the most spectated and skillful sports in the world that was founded in the UK.

you can't compare them to china since their culture is based on getting an education so the kids don't really get involved in sports but that's changing since you can see them coming up in the olympics so other sports will follow, indians are defs bad tho since they're obsessed with cricket but still absolutely trash at it for a country of that population size

in regards to soccer, the game takes skill whereas american sports are based on low iq brainless meathead physicality, basically just be the biggest, strongest fastest etc and that doesn't necessarily translate over to soccer without technical ability

Agreed.

It's still very mainstream. Less-so than when Tiger was relevant. Actually Tiger was probably the singular reason golf grew to what it is today. Look at the golf payouts before Tiger starting winning. They increased exponentially as he won more.

It's still a top10 most spectated sport in the world.

We took crappy sports and replaced them with improved versions.

Rugby? You guys pile on each other like a couple of homos.

Cricket? Are you serious here? How can anyone take that "sport" seriously?

Croquet? Hitting a ball with a mallet?

Are you retarded. Why are you on a bodybuilding website if you don't even know the history of steroids then claim an American invented them. German scientists synthesized it, Soviets used them in the Olympics... then IN 1958 Dr Ziegler (the American you claimed created steroids) created one. America produces the best athletes which is why they usually win the olympics. Football is a game of technical skill and that is where they are deficient.

Not in a significant amount, no.

I find it amusing how almost every single sport on earth is participated by the USA yet, for some strange reason, THE most popular sport in the world seems to be the only one you "don't give a **** about".

Absolute COPE.
