Have you really never seen this? It's on just about every 'soccer' field I've seen at a school lol. Zero love is given to soccer players in the vast majority of the US. This is coming from someone who actually likes the sport and played it growing up. I wish we cared more but we just don't.

I said this in the previous"LOL Americans suck at "futbol" thread": Its hard to relay how little we care about "futbol" so the only way I can conceptualize it is this; Think about the morale the rest of the world has for, say, American Football, but superimpose that feeling on Americans for "futbol." Thats how much we care.

We're not coping, we're not buthurt we really just don't care. Now there's miscers in this thread marginalizing the olympics saying it doesn't count even though its been the Litmus Test for a countries level of athleticism for over 100 years. If anythingthatis a textbook definition of "cope"

I guess all those big dish servings and sugary drinks don't work out for you on the field.

Also your argument makes zero sense.

You literally chose the fattest players in the NFL to deceive people?

Ok so great.

I have an answer that totally destroys your theory.

Vernon davis ran 4.38 in the 40 yard dash at 6'2 and 255-260lbs which is a world record for the fastest 40 yard dash ever ran at body weights over 250 lbs. He also benched 480 and squatted 680, prob deep too.

He's not at that college level of strength now because he's not training like that but the fact that he reached that level just goes to show that you have no clue as to what you're talking about.

Countless other NFL players are just as big and just as fast.

It's like do you have google. Type in vernon davis on google images and tell me what you see.

Type in any other linebacker in the NFL on google images and tell me what you see.

You literally have no clue what you're talking about and you're comparing 120 lb soccer players vs vernon davis. Wow.. Really?

It couldn't be that the average NBA ticket price is TWICE what the average MLS ticket price is?

"good" tickets to my local NBA team are $250 avg. VERY GOOD tickets to local MLS team are $80/avg.

America has to let all poverty countries feel good about something they are good at so they dont feel too butthurt about not being America. the land that invented the TV u watch football on, the internet you streaming from and the computer that you posting from which was invented here as well

as for sh!tty global athletes..Lance Armstrong and Tiger woods are american..in their prime, they were untouchable...infact euro ****s were such whiny bitches they snitched on lance so they could get a chance to dope up and win tour de france. if there was motivation to win, america could probably come up with a great team or import players like most countries do anyway...this world cup, even italy didnt qualify and mexico beat germany so its been a interestingly crazy world cup.

Welcome all you newbie poverty join dates! Its great to see you in the quadrennial thread about how "crappy" America is, its great to see all your guys! Let me refresh your memory for the 3rd time in the last 12 years!

America does not care about your poverty sport. Soccer is the great hope for some many third world countries to be famous, once every 4 years.. Soccer is officially called "Poverty ball" in America. I know that is hard to digest, but you have to understand something. We are not poor here. We can afford equipment to play Football, Hockey, Baseball, and any other sport that we want. All you need for soccer is 2 trash cans, and an empty can of beans. You will not get laid growing up being the "captain of the soccer team". You will not get blown behind the bleachers if you "made 10 caps". We generally do not care, unless you are a liberal cuck living on the west coast.

There is not hate here. I genuinely wish your countries well during this Poverty Cup. It must be really exciting since this is the climax of your countries sporting existence, and it only happens once every 4 years. Enjoy, and I will see you all tuning in to our Super Bowl, NBA Playoffs, and MLB world series.

See you all in 4 years again!

In the United States the least athletic typically play soccer. There is no such thing as a 'stud soccer player' at an American high school or college. It is what it is. If you're athletic you're playing football, basketball, baseball, or wrestling.

American football is a complete joke, but I guess when you're overweight and ugly you will emphasise with a sport full of bloaters.

Funny how Americans call everyone else poor. Meanwhile seeing America on TV and it looks absolute chit: gangs, tent cities, MS-13, black ghettos, gun crime, poverty etc.

Dunno why they call everyone poor. Europeans live in first world countries for the most part, with good economies. America is not as rich as you think, it is 20th in GDP per capita and that would halve if they didn't spend so much on military spending. We all know your wealth is borrowed. That 20 trillion dollar debt, greater than anyone else in the history of man and it will annihilate your economy.

I won't touch on the sports part but bro, don't talk about economics if you don't understand it.

Because if you did, you'd know that:

1) Having debt is essentially a good thing as long as you are able to repay them. How else do you think the US government, or any government for that matter, can finance their projects? Tax money is not enough boyo.

2) If the figure is high, then why does everyone keep lending to the US? Would you lend your money to someone broke? Of course not. There is a high hope that the US can repay the loan!

3) Look at figures online and you'll find that pretty much all developed countries have extremely high level of debt, eg Japan, Australia, Canada, France etc.

4) GDP per capita will not suddenly be halved if you stop spending on the military boyo, that amount of resources will be spent elsewhere so it's still in the economy

if we replaced basketball courts with soccer fields in the inner cities, the US would be the #1 ranked soccer country, no question. Unfortunately, soccer is just not popular among black youth. And soccer fields are larger than basketball courts, and also more expensive to maintain

If rugby is checkers, American football is Chess (and "futbol" is Connect 4) Those "fatasses" obviously play a position called a Defensive Lineman. If you've ever seen them play, they carry that weight very well (like Sumo wrestlers). They are not expected to take the ball and run 25-50 yards but when they do its hilarious to see 4 guys being dragged behind them. They have a specific job and thats to push back against the line of scrimmage (the line between the two teams in any given play).

American Football is more tactical, almost like a war game (Marines, Navy, Infantry Men, Air Force Special Forces etc) who are specifically trained for a task. There are aesthetic players in the NFL, and at the college level which is what makes that pic so pointless;

Clay Matthews 6'3 255lbs (116kg)

Ernie Sims 6'0 230lbs (105kg)

Vernon Davis 6'4 220lbs (100kg)

Jared Vedheer 6'8 320lbs (145kg) (in the blue shirt of course)

Baseball, hockey and basketball are huge here.

Basketball has fans all over the world (especially asia, europe and the mid east).

Baseball is huge in asia.

Hockey is massive in Europe.

Ernie Sims 6'0 230lbs (105kg)

Vernon Davis 6'4 220lbs (100kg)

Jared Vedheer 6'8 320lbs (145kg) (in the blue shirt of course)

Jon Beason 6'0 230lbs (105kg)

Trent Richardson 5'9 225lbs (102kg)
NFL athletes are top tier, elite. Literally the best of the best.

Think about how many kids play high school football.

Then how many of them make it to a college program.

How many of those make it to a TOP college program, and start.

And then finally, how many of those make it to the NFL, start, and have long careers.

It’s like the 1% of the 1%.

You could take a bunch of backup/practice squad players from the NFL (running backs, defensive backs, wide receivers) and make up a soccer team more athletic than these other countries.

How come the USA didn't do this then? Why did they not even qualify for the world cup? Inb4 "they don't care"

To sum up the answer to this thread once again:

It's because celltech doesn't work in Soccer, you actually need skills and finesse to be good at it and most Americans simply don't have what it takes.
