It was never relevant. I don't know why you brought it up in the first place. The issue was whatwas happening and how it was responded to. What's happening in the future regarding it is not relevant in the slightest.

This. It's a judgement call whether it's technically legal or not. Something like a little kid on the street corner selling lemonade vs some dirty character selling contaminated meat in a crowded area.

I'm suggesting that unless there is an actual threat to public health that is not avoidable using common sense and basic observation, people should be 100% free to conduct business without government interference. The US did just fine before the government had it's hands everywhere.

Also, as stated in multiple posts, the point of almost all of these regulations is to 1- protect big business and 2- extort money from citizens.

LMAO I bet you can't tell me 99% of food handling guidelines without looking them up online.

Yet they're supposed to believe a little kid would know them?

Go to any outdoor family party/BBQ and count how many of them food guidelines are being broken, they're not "common sense".

1. Almost nobody could tell you government safety guidelines. Hundreds of millions have taken driving tests and still don't know basic chit like right-of-way. Worse, those enforcing the laws (police) don't even know.
2. You assume that because someone has a permit that they actually follow/know the rules.

food handling and preparation is serious business boyos, there are courses you have to take although not really difficult or tedious + the permits.

I don't really see the problem here, the kid sold hotdogs without a permit which is against the law and somebody reported it. One would think it is a good thing to report illegal activity hmmmmm?? We aren't talking about reporting some guy walking in the middle of the night with a hoodie.

We can argue about the system, government legislation, etc that is a different argument altogether however. I probably wouldn't really give a chit either way and I applaud the kid's hustle but lol at some of you arguing this from an emotional standpoint instead of logic "but but but it was just a kid trying to afford clothes!". What he was doing wasn't legal, if the law is that you need a permit for food handling/preparation it needs to apply across the board consistently.

Strong not watching a 2 minute video. The town bought him a permit.

LOL man you're just doubling down on the stupidity huh?

1. Again, so because a person can without a license could (illegally) drive a car let's make it so there's no type of driver education before people are allowed to drive, that should work out great.

2. No you can't have real accountability without permits because people can just claim ignorance the first time, and the second, and the third, etc.
