Who knows larry is a beast no doubt, just don't like people discredditin ma ***** eddie :P I firmly believe in terms of absolute strength, eddie hall is the strongest man to ever live thus far. There's also a video of him pressing 60kg dumbells with full ROM for 40 reps, as a warm up for log press lol

All time raw WR is around 320kg isn't it? I'm sure at 300+lbs BW larry could break that though, but i'm more impressed by his overhead stuff. Guys a phenom no doubt, very excited to see what he can do.

Yes I'd agree. 500kg deadlift, 300kg ish bench, who knows what he squats but he could have easily broke the all weight class powerlifting total record if he bothered to

Most he's meant to have squatted in the gym was 405kg, not to forget he's put 220 something over his head aswell, and he damn near locked out 230kg when he was trying to beat Big Z's overhead record

The difference between him and larry though is, he was unable to healthily maintain that, and has been trimming down since winning WSM, whereas larry is only getting stronger.

I wonder if Larry could break Eddie's all time deadlift record if he bulked up to 300lbs+ and used the same deadlift suit? Hell, he might not need a suit to do it.

Hard to know, but he has quite a long way to go before he's breaking it yet although he's still very young so who knows. That lift is probably the best lift of the last 20 years. Eddie is rumoured to have done 530kg in the gym.

Kinda hoping once eddie trims down a bit more he moves to powerlifting, that'd be great to see.

Oh yes that record will stand for some time. But, Larry is the only one who has the potential to break it. Larry isnt even in his prime in terms of powerlifting. Hes still young and the possibilities of his true strength is endless.

Hes a long way off for now, he has "only" managed 408kg/900 lbs so far. Deadlift doesn't shoot up with bodyweight as much as Bench either, you don't get the same leverage and ROM advantages. Larry's pressing strength is still his strong point although he is pretty balanced across the big 3

I dunno, i think thor, given his age as well has a chance at breaking it, but who knows.

But yeah as above, larrys real strength is his pressing, rare to see a guy with such insane presses at such a low BW. Adding a lot of mass massively improves levers. I find it impressive how well rounded he is too.

There's a bunch of brahs that have a deadlift in the 850-900 ish range, and weigh below 280lbs say...

Then to get a 1000lb deadlift, they literally have to put on an extra 100lbs in body weight for that extra 100lbs in the lift lol

If anyone breaks Eddie's record it will be Thor IMO. I believe he is the closest. In an interview however, he was asked, and he said he would not attempt the lift if he cannot do it raw (no suit)...... I think Thor did 472kg so he's about 30k off Eddies record. That is big jump at that level, but very attainable especially if he prioritized it. I think he's going to keep WSM as his primary goal however.

Larry has no chance at that record tbh, his pressing like most have said is his strong point. Unfortunately gaining g weight sometimes does absolutely nothing for deadlifts

At that point its really hard to add LBM, which is the only thing that helps with a deadlift really. Fat might slightly improve your leverages but also effectively adds to the weight lifted too

In the bench you get a shorter ROM, and leverage boosts from forearms meeting upper arms, and upper arms with lats etc giving you more tightness. Squat is the same but to a lesser degree

Wheels' squat vids are equally amazing. Especially the high rep stuff I've seen him do.

That 405 OHP makes me just want to quit lifting though (I've done 245 strict OHP, which wouldn't even be a warm-up for LW).......

Thor to me seems pretty "maxed out" he has bloated up to an insane weight and he doesn't look remotely healthy anymore. I don't see him being able to physically add much more weight to his frame, theres only so much food you can eat etc

Larry is still only 23, and his strength is shooting up at an incredible pace. He also has an easy 100 lbs he could grow into

Actually my best lift, everything else is weakling (bench/squat)

I can 225 OHP for 8.

Used to play football, seen retarded lifts from tech all the time. It makes no sense to gloat numbers on tech tbh.

Nothing more humbling than watching something like this. I was impressed seeing this guy doing proper OHP with 1 plate yesterday.. it’s just one of those lifts you don’t see at the gym often (or if you do see it, form is so off it doesn’t even look like a barbell press anymore).

And lol at the people invalidating his strength bc of juice. He still has to train like mad to get to this point, and the vast majority of people will never attain this level of strength no matter how not natty they are.
They said she's gone too far this time

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
