Pretty much. Isn’t online dating kinda getting less popular these days compared to a few years ago though? I don’t hear dating apps being talked about in the mainstream anymore like it was in 2014-2016.

Possibly, also the whole pay structure with the apps now. I think Tinder favors the ones that pay the monthly fee over the ones that are just on the limited swipe free option. Not sure about Bumble. I notice Bumble has way better looking women on it, but not sure how many of those profiles are fake. Those women’s standards are likely sky high though. At one point my self esteem was at rock bottom due to dating apps. It doesn’t bother me as much anymore but it’s still an awful option for men unless they’re tall, good looking & have a good job.

I got rocky mountain high on Friday and deleted those apps. I feel 100% better now. Looking into the chess club in town, since I haven't played 1v1 in awhile. It will help mind anyways. I'll send you some screen shots in a bit.

I had an interesting conversation with a 32 yo (I'm 27) match on Saturday night...

We matched Saturday morning, I sent an opener around lunch and she responded very timely, so I reciprocated. We ended up exchanging a bunch of messages on the app and later transitioned to texting and everything was going pretty alright.Fast forward to 11pmish.... she randomly calls me and we end up having a 45 minute conversation. Normally I would either have ignored this call or not have been home to take it but I stayed in this night to watch the UFC (sup sword), so I figured why not let me take this.

Boy did the red flags start to flow out. Orbiter's, clingers, excessive drinking/partying, family issues and her lying/contradicting herself multiple times. I'm so glad she called me and we had this phone conversation, otherwise I would have wasted my time on some crappy date. She even suggested for our first dated to be at a local fancy steak houses......bwwahahahaha.

Ultimately she was just a another earlier 30s girl who spent her 20s partying and running thru guys rather than establishing some values and building blocks and she now feels her biological clock ticking. She genuinely still thinks she's a catch when in reality she's hilariously undatable.

The best part.... After I literally said "I'm going to go now, I don't really see us going anywhere or hanging out" and very quickly hung up the phone she texted me saying "sorry I didn't really feel the connection, I'm going to move on".... I at least hope this let her sleep well that night.

I also had a match hit me back up after going silent for a few days after I sent the "text/snapchat?" request. She said yes to texting if I'm still interested. Since we both have hobbies that we are mutually interested in I'm going to respond back. However I'm thinking of responding with... "Sure I'm down to text, but I really only like to text with the understanding of setting something up in the near future."

Too strong? good or bad idea?

You got lucky, assuming she's being completely honest. Sounds like a similar case to my initial experience - both of us on the dating site for 1-2 days, met up and deleted the apps. It's possible to get really lucky I think, but generally it's a massive grind.

BTW, don't get ahead of yourself. You don't know her yet. Plenty of women are smart enough to reserve sex when looking for a serious relationship, yet they have had ONS and been sluts in the past.

I dated a girl that seemed really classy, and was withholding sex for multiple dates. Turned out she had been a serious slut, I detectived her all over sex forums etc. and hooking up with "bad boys". One of the reasons I dropped Tinder, just full of sluts. A self respecting woman does not use an app known as a hookup app.

Just curious, is it an automatic deal breaker for you if a girl has ever had a ONS at some point in her past, even if she doesn't do it anymore, or tried it when she was young? Not gonna rehash our disagreement on this, but you honestly may have better luck if you relax some of these stringent requirements you have.
