They should have sent in the progressives and their "vocabulary" police force to handle this situation. While they chat and threaten to message the suspect with foam bats I would be loading my RPG.

The sh*t cops have to deal with every day, and for every 1 million cases where they've made a situation better only the 1 that went bad gets air time. "Hur it's their job" - it still doesn't detract from the fact it's a near thankless and very difficult job especially in some countries. Add on top SJWs making more and more police officers hesitant to use lethal force in case the victim fits a narrative.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Cuz he was scared. Aim sucks when scared. Those officers were extremely frightened. That’s why they tased for so long, didn’t react right. I’m guessing neither had been in an altercation in their life.

At first I thought the police were going to enact their constitutional right to bear arms with lethal ammunition.
It is the United States of America after all and here comes the god bless remarks.

This.

IT seems like Im seeing more and more videos of tasers not doing their job. Usually people will give up after getting hit once but throw in a little pcp and the tazers become useless. The "should have just tazered them" crowd becoming more and more irrelevant.

While I agree 100%, if they shot him while he was reaching for something in the car, you can damn well bet the cops' lives would be ruined by the ensuing Trial by Twitter and everyone claiming he was unarmed/excessive force.

Embarrassingly incompetent. How the fuk can they fumble around for that long? Draw your gun and keep a distance. If the perp tries to close distance shoot him. Wtf is this?

How did it end?

And that accomplishes an arrest, how??

Because going straight to the gun and shooting an unarmed black man when it's 2v1 can end with you in prison and your family fearing for their lives, protests, violence, and other thugs going out and attacking police officers as retribution.

Calm down. Of course they wouldn't have, after all that frolicking around? Theyd've rightly been lauded heroes.

Two white officers will not be lauded as heroes for shooting an unarmed black man, particularly in the back and/or while he's on the ground...reaching into his car for his wallet or not.

Reality check time dude.

The taser actually laid him out pretty well...they didn't approach quickly and cuff while he was incapacitated. Taser starts working at around :32, cop closer to the car spends close to 30 seconds screwing around instead of cuffing him. They wrestle with the guy for another 30 sec. When cop on the left realizes he went for a weapon, instead of drawing he retreats into his partner and gets mag dumped.

It's not an easy situation to deal with, for sure.

I guess it's easy to say from our keyboards and in the moment it must've been a blur. It still went badly and I don't think there's much they could have done in that situation that would have put them in a bad light. Even dashing his head on the road to incapacitate him would have been fine imo (and most people's I'm sure).

You think wrong.

Sitting behind the safety of a keyboard, or a couch, or holding a sign in a (likely violent) protest, it's pretty easy to keep talking about how two white cops executed an unarmed black man, punctuated by saying he was on the ground, he had his hands up, he was shot in the back, whatever however it turned out.

I don't understand how you can't see this.

In most the other cop videos, the ones I've seen, the lefties have something to run with. They would have nothing here. Stop exaggerating.

Two white cops shooting an unarmed black man is about as much to run with as you can possibly get lol

Have you seen the recent, IIRC Minnesota, video where two callers to 911 report a man with a silver 9mm handgun out shooting in the street, cops respond to a guy matching that description, he runs, they chase him, he draws a silver slide semi auto pistol and starts to turn towards them with it in his hand, and there are protests because officer fired? lol

How about the guy on the street in Chicago who has a gun in a holster that they see, he breaks away from contact, and is actively trying to draw the gun when shot, and there are protests. lol

The officers in THIS video don't seem to have been able to tell the guy had a gun in the car until he was in the act of pointing and shooting it at them. For all they know, he's reaching for his keys in that car and are going to be hung out to dry if they shoot the unarmed black man in the back.

the training that the academy gives you in restraining people is piss poor at the local and state level. its pretty easy to beat the **** out of someone when you are rolling around in the dirt but its very hard to keep eyes on their hands, make sure their not reaching for anything, reach for your handcuffs while at the same time holding their wrist and trying to connect the handcuffs to their wrist. that is why in a fight you will see multiple cops just pile on a person.

most likely just words that were being thrown out during a stressful situation. youre trained to scream stop resisting because its very simply and direct which is why you'll hear officers keep saying it 30x during a fight.

troopers got very lucky in this one. i think this video is a perfect example on how quickly things can go from we're rolling the dirt to holy **** this person is trying to kill me.

troopers were well trained when it came to safety tho, did you notice how once the fight went into the roadway they immediately made sure no vehicles were coming while big boy dragged the suspect back onto the shoulder. that being said

I understand its not automatic knockout but more chance of effect vs someone on pcp, was asking basically since i would think even someone on pcp would get knocked out just like anyone else.

Yeah, there was clearly awareness of the surroundings and what they were doing and where they were, they looked before following him into the road and even drug him back for his safety (and their safety while trying to get control of him wherever he ended up).

Too bad they didn't shoot him in the back of the head as soon as he was reaching into the car.

Ya Im sorry but those "punches" were pathetic.

Those are heros and Im not takin sht but that's a pathetic display of trying to restrain someone. All Cops have to be taught some jui-jitsu or krav maga or something. Should be mandatory.

They had him down and he got off....shouldn't of happened if they had the correct training

And you shouldn't pretend to be presenting a rational and informed opinion when your recommendation for a DUI arrest is to draw your guns on the single empty handed person and, if he gets too close, shoot him

As others have said, it's extremely hard to try and restrain someone in a legal manner. This isn't a street fight or a brawl. Officers have to use SOMETHING they've been trained on to restrain the person who is flailing all their limbs and using their full strength to try and pull away. Grabbing a limb that's all sweating with one hand while trying to pull out handcuffs and cuff them while your partner is just holding onto their legs is incredibly harder than people think (because if you try restraining someone without holding onto their legs, you're going to have a bad time).

I'm in pretty good shape, have this "mandatory" training you think everyone should have. I've had issues handcuffing 40 year old frail women with my partner, 15 year old twinks, you name it. The main issue is that it takes a lot longer than people think, and generally looks a lot uglier than people think. If you want to make it look good to the public, you're trying control holds which takes awhile, doesn't always work, and you risk losing control. If you want it to be effective, you use force on the high end of what is necessary. This often involves what looks like "beating people", but it's over a lot quicker and easier to restrain someone. It's also totally legal when used properly but a good way to get in trouble with all these internet experts and public outcry.

People forget that fights in the UFC, street fights, etc, are all two people trying to fight each other. Intentionally, continually going at each other. Most fights with police, it's the police officer trying to handcuff someone, while the other person is fighting just to get away. As the person is fighting to get away, the officers have to worry about seeing hands, not letting the person get to a weapon, using legal force options, etc, so their options on what they can/will do are more limited than people think. It's actually pretty easy to just get away from someone, in this case to get to a gun.

All true of course (this guy ^ knows)

It's not like a cop trying to handcuff and arrest some guy for DUI can start backing the back of his head into the concrete while on top and be like, oh, yeah, hey look at that, now that he's unconscious with life changing brain damage, I can cuff him...all good right mayne? Two guys fighting with no thoughts to aftermath or repercussions, etc, sure, that might happen...that's not what this is
