They can go have their fantastic careers and shove their child into daycare and hire a maid to clean and cook.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

The idea of a traditional relationship won't ever happen unless money and income is sorted first. Maybe for you its important for your partner to make her own income because you can't afford everything you want. For me what i want is more non refundable time to enjoy my life and share it with the ones i love.
end of the day time is still being wasted when no one is home to have meals ready and chores already done.

Idk why some miscers are so against relationships. The challenge is just finding a female I am attracted to both mentally and physically, that is also willing to cook for me. She doesn't even have to clean, just cook dinner for me!

Complementary roles can be equality, sure. But so can 50/50 on task/duty chit. I don't need someone cleaning up after me and cooking for me.
Again, not a fan of the cliche housewife ****. Woman staying home raising a child doing all the house work while the man works. I want nothing to do with a woman who wants that. Not my type. It's fine if that's what you are after.
We can both cook, both clean, both raise our kid, and both go to work.

Wait, there are guys who want a woman who doesn't work? You guys pulling in half a mil a year or something? I want a dual Income household as long as I am not wealthy. If anyone is hanging out with their feet up all day acting like taking care of the house is a real job it's gonna be me, lol. My girl cooks, cleans, etc all while working and brining home a nice check. Not sure why so many people ITT are talking like it's one or the other, upgrade your women.

24/7 commitment to being the care taker of the home is less stressful but more time consuming than being the sole bread winner of the family. it evens out, like i said plenty of women who dream about being a stay at home mom because in this day and age they know how much it sucks ass working in the real world.

I could see situations where the man works 2 jobs while the woman is looking after 1 kid and watching Jerry Springer half the day. I could also envision a situation where the man has a piss easy job, and the woman is stressing after 3 kids and doing a great job maintaining the household.
It depends. So really you gotta find a reasonable and fair partner who carries those equitable values. And right now it doesnโt sound like you are with broad judgements. <3

If youโre not careful you can lose yourself as an adult and a sexual being, wrapping all your zest for life up in a man who has outside interests, becoming dull and unattractive. Bored and boring.
It is inevitably quietly depressing just being a housewife, after the first toddler and preschool years once those children are in school what then?
If your job is the home when do you get off work? Where do you rest and recuperate?

productivity, and purpose is key, and having the luxury of staying home all day provides that. good luck finding purpose when you have to file TPS reports all day, I'd rather be home if was trying to figure a good healthy hobbie to pass time, and make most use of it.
Also the luxery of being home keep allows you to take breaks whenever you want as long as you are caught up. If the house is empty most days shouldnt be that hard.

Having read the thread, I think that the mistake some people make is looking at roles in marriage as very rigid, like provider vs homemaker.
If and when my wife have kids we both agree that it would be good for her to stay at home significantly longer than maternity leave allows for. But this isn't to say that both of us shouldn't be working at other times. And in those other times chores should be shared.
If you marry a woman with a lucrative and demanding career who is happy to suspend that at times to build a family with you, is it really so hard to imagine that YOU cook dinner, help clean up, etc, considering that you might not actually be the primary breadwinner?
Or even more simply...so that you don't always treat your wife as some kind of maid?
Inb4 "lol if your wife out earns you"

can confirm. I work from home and soon to be wife cooks me breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday (unless I treat her and cook for her - maybe once a week). Also does all the gardening (big house) + most of the housework.
And I work from home and she works 4 days a week.
Feels unfair mayn

I actually do the cooking in our house.
But only because I enjoy it and consider myself a Michelin-tier cook.
Wife does everything else.
I literally have no idea how to even open the door on the washing machine srs.

Would never get married unless the woman could cook, clean, laundry, sex anytime, didn't talk back or complain too much and signed a pre-nup.
