-I recognize the existence of episomes, but not their relevance to this conversation.
-If you're not antivaxx, go ahead and delete your your initial post in this thread claiming that vaccinations are dangerous. If you stop trying to convince people of your wackadoodle theories about vaccines, I really don't care what else you have to say.
-Good job at being a TA in computer science, etc. If you actually teach anything related to virology/immunology, lord have mercy on your students.
-Everyone here and in the premed forum you posted to thinks you're a self-aggrandizing, ignorant blowhard, because you are a self-aggrandizing, ignorant blowhard. But again, if you delete your bullchit about vaxxes, I don't care. I don't want anyone to be confused by your pseudo-biological vomit.

Here are some lovely topics where I was crucified for thinking higher, for having a mastery of a subject, and being ridiculed by those with lesser understanding.

I am not anti vaxx and my original post says nothing of the sort. You have trouble reading I guess? Or you read what you want.

Dangerous? Of course a vaccine can be dangerous. People have died from improper storage of vaccines. there is a RISK involved whether you like it or not.

The best defense we have is to understand the risks. Now some people that read this will understand that a good vaccine can go bad if mishandled.
That might save somebodys life from a shady vaccination if they are alert and aware.

Good job finding the one thread where someone agreed with you. It's a thread about modifying cars (I neither know nor give a chit about that topic), but good job nonetheless.

Everyone still thinks your fake bio theories are moronic.

Now please shut up about "shady vaccination."

Shady vaccine:
The “Cutter Incident” in 1955 involved a flaw in the Salk polio vaccine manufacturing process at Cutter Laboratories that led to production of substantial amounts of what was thought to be inactivated vaccine that contained live poliovirus. The result has been called “…one of the worst pharmaceutical disasters in US history”[11], with 40,000 cases of polio resulting in 51 cases of permanent paralysis and five deaths among vaccinated individuals, and 113 cases of paralysis and five deaths among contacts of vaccinated individuals [11,12].

If you’re gonna help someone understand the topic at least be patient about it.

Part of the reason people are suspicious is because the way people use Reddit style neckbeard projection-bullying

Its one of those topics that are controversial and there’s valid reasons for it but the people who are pro vaccine keep bullying people under the guise of “people can get malaria and die which is worse than symptoms” layer to their argument but in reality it’s just intellectual bullying.

They think they’re smart that they get it so they want to stroke their ego and intellectually bully people who are “dumber” and since health is a risk it’s free range and an excuse to just attack maliciously and unload on people with science.

It’s kinda like creepy atheists who go out of their way to try to hate on peaceful religious people and is a cousin of that type of malicious hate.

People who don’t know the facts can feel that hate and it’s suspicious and it makes people gravitate towards thinking something is up and it makes people actually be anti vaccine just because people can be so ugly about the topic just because they feel they are correct and it makes it worse overall.

If you’re trying to help people, spread positive facts not condescending hate.

If vaccines were safe and brought an overall net benefit, the industry would have performed hundreds of studies to prove it, but instead they refuse, that doesn’t inspire confidence

From your list, I had measles, mumps, rubella and pertussis, in all cases it was nice to get time off school. I did however have a sister who died from a vaccine.

And I'm sure you have proof, right? Because in 2015 there were less than 2,000 total combined cases of measles/mumps/rubella in the United States, out of over 300 million people. And this is with only 92% of children being vaccinated...

Amurica for ya. It's pretty sad to be honest. I would put money on it that everyone who posted on the post their parents vaccinated them when they were infants.

We are talking 1980s, it was all very normal back then, many people held parties to catch chicken pox and measles.

The tetanus vaccine induced an autoimmune disease in my sister which killed her, my parents received a huge sum of compensation, but of course no money can ever fix the loss.

Chicken pox, yes, but measles, mumps, rubella and pertussis? I grew up in the 80s and I can't remember knowing anyone my age who had any of these, let alone all of them. I suppose my friends may have been lucky, or Australia may have had worse vaccination rates than the US.

Did your sister's bad experience turn you off from vaccines?

There are lots of autoimmune diseases, allergies and cancers, the expanding vaccine schedule being the most likely cause.

The flu vaccine still contains mercury, it also doesn’t normally work as the strains mutate every year.

The flu vaccine is a special case where the cost/benefit isn't readily apparent (unlike the childhood vaccine schedule). Yes, it often fails, as it's extremely hard to predict which strain of flu will be dominant in any given year. My disgust regarding that pic has to do with non-flu vaccines.

Thimerosal is a red herring though.
