That's also a good point. The reason kids in more improvised communities steal it's because they have more of a reason to. Why would X person who's daddy gives him a $200 allowance every month lives in a nice house and who's parents will buy him a car when he hits 18 steal? The criminals in rich neighborhoods want to get away with something more worthwhile to them. NOT SAYING you should ever steal just saying poor people have more of a reason to.

I had to stop the video when that guy was making a point about parking a truck full of shoes in "an impoverished area... who's not gonna want some shoes?" as if they are all walking around barefoot. There are plenty of impoverished groups in non-Western worlds who are too proud to even ask for hand-outs and welfare. It is funny seeing criminals being excused and treated like victims. The bottom line is, they stole something that wasn't theirs. It wasn't a matter of life and death, they wanted something for free and took it. There's some bait pranks on youtube that show even well dressed people try take a scooter etc, because at the end of the day anyone can be a criminal. Yes it's more common in low income areas due to more economic desperation but it's still not a reason to blanket excuse crime. There are plenty of poor people in countries without welfare work hard for paltry incomes and are still too proud to steal or beg.

As for the op's video, i'm indifferent towards the act. On one hand, scumbags gonna scumbag for stealing in the first place, but on the other, you're also enticing poor people to commit a crime, probably even young kids with no criminal record.

I can't help but think there's a better way to go about catching criminals. If they had instead parked it in a more affluent neighborhood and caught a couple of guys trying to steal from it then that would make more sense.

You've unintentionally touched upon an important point. There are lots of people in these sorts of areas who think that having high-end Nikes are as important as eating. Then they wonder why they are perpetually poor.

I grew up around lots of these types. Many times a person's family would elevate themselves from the chithole areas because they prioritised important things. Then others would buy their kids the most expensive shoes and whatever as a priority over actual important things, then years later look at the ones whose families made it out and be like "yo mane it's bare unfair innit fam!"

Actually surprised at how many of you in here are outraged at the "po-lease" for doing this.
