Too longer times of peace and no hardship has it's negative effects too. Add on top technology is reducing crucial development in humans + destabilization of roles through progressive moments and we're getting mutant forms of devolving, soft humans. Humans are become way more sedentary, being exposed less to real competition, being exposed less to real face-to-face communication and even when they develop a disorder they then have society telling them they are fine and nothing is wrong with them. Just a breeding pot for a circus show. You'd have hoped we could have removed the brutality of the past such as dying if someone sneezes near you, while also keeping the positivities, but this hasn't happened.

I don't think the human body and mind can evolve to what we need now, I mean it's getting clearer every year. I think the only path from here on in is to fully integrate with technology because our biology on it's own can't balance the modern age properly.

Ehhh, history buff brah checking in. Both of you guys have some fair points, but some big stuff wrong too.

For one, the food back then seems kind of **** - but you've got to remember, sugar was pretty much unheard of in Europe until they got those New World sugar plantations going. For sweetening food, the only option you had was a bit of honey. Salt was expensive too and pretty much just used for preserving meat, rather than just throwing gallons of it on everything like we do today. So these guys had never ate anything like a Big Mac or Slurpee or Loaded Jalapeno Doritos or any of that salt and sugar laden crap that we eat daily. Laborers in the field in England would often just bite into a whole ****ing onion for lunch - and that sounds pretty terrible, but if you lived in a world where you had never tasted sugar before, I bet that a straight-up onion wouldn't be too bad.

Likewise, battles were way more ghey than you would think back then, and casualties were way lower than you think. It wasn't just arrows blotting out the sun like 300 or horses jumping into walls of men like LOTR or something - it was often closer to a tug-of-war with 15ft pikes. Likewise, casualties in most medieval battles were 5-10% of the army. Psychologically, armies/mobs of men tend to break and run once they hit about 5% casualties (see John Keegan'sThe Face of Battlefor an excellent breakdown on this), and then you'd lose about that many again in the mop-up. For example, Crecy was the like the stereotypical "archers blot out the sun" battle, and casualties there were about 10% of the losing French force. Some battles got really ugly when the losing side was cut off from retreat and got slaughtered (eg Agincourt and Stirling Bridge, Cannae is probably the most original example from way back), but if they could get away, 9 out of 10 troops from most battles were coming home.

Peasants wouldn't arrange marriages, no one gave a **** cause there wasn't much property to inherit. Teenagers generally ****ed around like rabbits, with the understanding that they'd be marrying any peasant HBB they knocked up. The arranged marriages between toddlers and stuff was strictly in the nobility/aristocracy. For the peasantry, the most they'd have to gain by arranging a marriage was probably an extra pasture - that was their version of marrying rich.

Blood feuds were real though - the Germans especially loved that ****.

And while you can't really quantify this, I bet that peasant brahs did derive a lot more meaning/satisfaction from their work than we do today. For those guys, working the fields sunup to sundown or hammering away on some smithing work was the difference between their families eating and everyone starving to death. How's that for reasons to get out of bed in the morning? Some cubecels today have similar motivations today in providing for their families, but it's not as urgent as it was for those guys back then, and the FA / MGTOW crew doesn't even have that. I would definitely venture that those guys had more of a purpose than we do now.

I could go on and on. The past is hard to romanticize, cause those guys lived some tough lives, but it wasn't this ****sack world full of benighted semi-savages like it's often painted out to be. Just like today, people worked hard and got by. I think a clearer way to visualize it is what would happen if there was some kind of dystopia nuclear war type thing that knocked out all our electricity, running water, oil, imported goods, etc and we returned to working the land for food. What would we do for work, land, food, protection, or sexors? I don't think our motives are that different from our ancestors back then.

We live in the most prosperous time in human history. Life has never been easier for a human being and THAT is the problem, when you have anything you need at the click of a button you start looking at "problems to fix" and thus the SJW movement is born and with the left using them as pawns for political gain you have a recipe for disaster.
