- Prefer a smaller town community feel where I can get to know the locals (at least to some degree).
- Have the option to go into the city sometimes, and I may need to since I work in tech.
- Like lakes, mountains, rolling hills (over beaches, flat midlands etc.).
Right now leaning towards NC, SC, VA areas.

Oregon is quite moderate/conservative outside of Portland and Eugene (they just give it a bad name).
Lots of small outlaying cities of 1,000-15,000 people close to larger cities.
You're within an hour of lakes, mountains, snowboarding, surfing, dunes, the beach, amazing hiking and camping spots in the forest, good fishing, larger cities, etc.
No sales tax. Don't have to pump your own gas (but can most places). Pretty chill people. Not a bad place to live

We're thinking of moving too as the place we stay in now has become far too Liberal for our taste.
When they start removing pronouns in elementary school to be "inclusive" of the transgender and no gender community - it's time to go.

North Carolina (not joking, 100% srs). When I was relocating NC came out on top for 1) job market (lots of Pharma and tech) 2)weather (kind of humid but all four seasons and not too much snow) 3) southern charm + city things to do 4)politically semi neutral, 5)coast and mountains 6) won’t get hit too hard with hurricanes every season.
They said she's gone too far this time
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I swear I've been all over and SC has some of the hottest girls in the country, people from out of state always notice this.

Just lol at opposing inclusiveness when it's against your personal beliefs but embracing it otherwise.

East Tennessee or Western NC sounds like the place for you. It is breathtakingly beautiful there, has hills, seasons, a little bit of snow and mostly leans conservative except for Asheville

If you come to Virginia, try to avoid the DC area and northern VA area. It is nice, but tons of libs and and even more traffic. I used to live in Williamsburg and sounds like it would fit you well, judging from the criteria you have set for yourself.
