Just taking a look at some of the house prices in the NC area - fukkin sweet, can get a really nice house for <$500k.

Go, buy a house, find a woman (gonna be really attractive to the right woman if I have my own house), plus it would be a pre-marriage asset

Charlotte, NC is by far the right choice.

-Doesn't get too cold
-City is basically shaped like a double circle, inner circle is downtown metropolitan area with tech jobs. Outer circle is the nice suburbs, good school districts etc.
-Very affordable cost of living
-Probably used to be more conservative, but now about neutral due to young population moving there in droves.

I wish I could help but I can't. I live in New England and I'm selling my home and in MA and moving to NH. I will be surrounded by mountains and water. We get all the beautiful season's but too much snow so you would hate it. Happy hunting my friend!

These 2 cities are chitholes. Homeless everywhere, super liberal. Could not honestly reccomend. The conservative suburbs are nice, but it sucks because the liberals in Seattle dominate the state politics and make you pay more taxes, and make BS laws.It is overpopulated here so the housing market is isane.

Yep and the place I'm moving to has a population of 530...I hate people so it's perfect for me LOL!

I've been to NC a few times and it's real nice so keep that on your list.

Texas Triangle (Dallas/Houston/Austin/San Antonio) has ****loads of tech jobs and is still more affordable than most metros, especially when you consider that you're dealing with several of the top 10 largest cities in the US. Prices are only going up though. Austin's already at ****-this levels and Houston/Dallas/SA home prices are increasing dramatically. Good once you own a house, but you'd want to get in sooner rather than later.

Raleigh-Durham is nice as well, but filling up fast with invaders from the north.

Portland and Seattle are absolutely ****ing beautiful (probably the 2 best cities for nature in the US, IMO), but the Californian invasion there is already complete and they have been SF-lite for decades. Would live there 10/10 times over San Francisco, though. Hnnngg.

Denver has been fully invaded in the last 10 years. There are no survivors. Abandon mission.

Pittsburgh has a surprising amount of tech and is cheap to live in. Not sure of the status of the NY/MA invasion, but if your city has jobs and a low COL, rest assured that they are coming.

On a side note: I think that Trump has the right idea with the border wall, but he's just putting it in the wrong places. Build the wall around NY and CA and seal those two states off, cause THOSE are the migrants we really need to stop (sorry Lucy). Would solve so many problems, srs.

PDX much better than SF and Seattle. Smaller than both.

I would never live in PDX proper but the outer western suburbs are great.

Rains less than Seattle.

One hour to beach and one hour to Cascades and The Gorge.

Many tech companies in western suburbs.

They're just reacting to stereotypes about the south, especially if you're in SF.

Don't get me wrong, the south CAN BE racist as **** (much more so than the inland west in my experience, and we're insular and redneck as ****. But racism was never institutionalized for 4 centuries in fukkin Oregon) but the cities are usually far more cosmopolitan.

Actually Southern NH's winter is only 3 months (Jan/Feb/Mar). You have a solid 3 months of each season.

NH has/is among,

... the highest adjusted income in the nation.
... the lowest violent crime in the nation.
... the lowest unemployment rate in the nation. (tech heavy opportunities)
... the lowest taxes in the nation.
... where individual votes count the most.
... Politically a swing state, historically red and the birthplace of the republican party.
... no seatbelt law, no helmet law, no insurance requirements.
... Constitutional carry state.

It is also absolutely gorgeous, mountains, lakes, streams, ocean and is a haven to anyone that loves to hunt, fish and be outdoors. IMO an amazing place to raise a family.



I would 100% suggest you visit.
