Ok, now I've got a srs question for you geezers. I briefly mentioned earlier this summer that the Mrs doesn't have a guaranteed job to go back to after maternity leave (no shady reasons, company has been downsizing or cutting costs in non profitable regions). However, she may have a remote opportunity either maintaining local clients or being a remote recruiter. She was set to come off leave the 16th of this month.

However, she might have a job offer on the table (had a second interview last week, company called back this afternoon and left a generic message). Obviously neither are a guarantee. But, if the new company is calling with an offer, she's pretty much going to have to accept with no guarantee from the current, correct? I know she doesn't have to accept on the spot. New company has a more recognizable name locally, and may lead an easier path to better jobs locally in the future.

Current job is a nationwide company, may have the potential to be a bigger wig down the line elsewhere within the company. Side perk, she'll have 30 days vacation with current company if she could stay vs going back to 2 weeks with new.

What would you geezers do?

I think you can delay an offer up to around a week to "think about it" and use that week to force the issue on the other company.

My two cents: If you plan on staying put, local. If you're the restless type or she wants to climb the soulless corporate wagecel ladder, national. Keep in mind I'm highly biased against large corporate America and feel like they will eventually bleed the country dry, so there's that.

Yeah thanks. She's an HR type so that soulless corporate monster will always be there, unfortunately.

Waiting for 5x10 to suggest staying on both payrolls until one of them figures it out.

this is the kind I meant. And there is no way that thing will get next to my vag. Jesus. It'd turn black and blue. I already bruise like a peach! I wish I had one of these. I've got so many knots in my back that they keep creeping up on me and reking meno matter how much water I drink. #sad.

Also when I put my 2 fingers on the left side of my neck and apply a bit of pressure I can feel the area throbbing and it's scorching hot. Fml

Hai2denfolks. How are you doing? You were really going through it a few weeks ago. Are you feeling any better?
Scorching hot you say? That's straight up inflammation from that facet. I've had to get facet blockers (Google that fuked up procedure). The middle of my back is like that all the time. I know that feel.

I'm not as in as much emotional turmoil. Has food poisoning for a week or so. Then threw my back out so I lost a lot of progress and I'm trying to dig some foot and handholds out of this pit I'm in so I can get back on track and not eat like sht. I haven't gained any weight, but I feel awful. Work makes me livid and I've got a constant headache. And my aunt is doing even more poorly after her chemo treatments. In the past 6 months she's lost 70ish lbs and it'll probably be the malnutrition that kills her or even failing organs rather than the pancreatic stage 4. My dad's going up to Ohio again on Tuesday, I'm trying to figure out a way for me to go see her again, but I'm also wary of it bc I don't want to see my favorite lively robust, fun-loving aunt decrepit and on a walker, not being able to eat. Im gonna a see if I can borrow my moms car and drive it up there. I need a break from everything. It's only like 17hrs anyway. I've driven further for less important things.

The tldr is:
I'm meh. But thanks for asking.

Now with several back and neck adjustments, a deep muscle massage and some sort of electrical stimulation I’m only out $78 and I already feel 10 times better.

My regular doctor prescribed something for muscle spasms but the chiropractor said I wouldn’t need to take it if I go home lay down stop trying to push myself through the pain and let everything will heal.
honestly surprised it's not a fractured disc. Or a slipped one. I'm glad it isn't tho.

I hope you feel tip top shape soon. Back pain sucks ass and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

those feels, I know em. When I accidentally throw my back out, I can barely move without tearing up and gasping. And anyone who knows me well, knows I don't show my pain outwardly unless I'm really fuked up. My pain tolerance is so high that it takes something really bad to get me crying.

On a lighter note, I'm pretty sure my new workout leggings are see through. I guess we'll just have to see how much tomorrow. 😓😂

It was a good time and American as fuk. I'm surrounded by Trump haters in my family and my wife's so it was awesome to be surrounded by a bunch of patriotic rednecks like myself. Trump sold out the place and talked for 1.5 hrs with no teleprompter. Just him BS's with his people. Got an obnoxious red MAGA hat to wear at Thanksgiving this year and a not so obnoxious camo one for every day rustling.
