The problem, which I think I've already stated, but for some reason OP doesn't register it....

In simple terms: You cut calories very low for a few days. Hormonally, your body is primed to put fat weight on, it's just waiting for any excuse. This is why breaking a fast should be done smartly. He's breaking his with pizza, which is high in both carbs and calories. So, his already-primed body is going to get a massive spike in insulin and a ton of calories, it's like he's going out of his way to put on fat, I can't think of a worse plan than this.

Step 1: Fast just long enough to twink with your hormones but not long enough to actually burn much. Step 2: Break the fast with the absolute worst food you possibly could, one high in carbs and fats. Step 3: Throw in some gain-killing alcohol, because at this point why the fuk not.

Listen, eat pizza. Drink beer. Live your damn life, but just don't do it like this and for fuk's sake don't fool yourself into thinking it's a good idea or one that will cut fat.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

lol drinking is dropped, I didnt think it would be a huge deal. Second what do you suggest as a small refeed break then? 3rd its 50/50 on people's opinions if 7 days like that will effect your hormones to this extent

You could starve yourself and fast until Saturday and would look exactly the same as you do now

I'm not trying to be mean dude. That's just reality. You have next to zero muscle mass and dropping a few pounds of fat is not going to show anything

it's cool bruh no hate. I don't agree with what you say tho although I know I'm low on muscle hints I'm not just doing a regular cut for a long time. At the end of the day I want to look how I want to look at that time. Seems like your not a fan of psmf at all so you opinion on it doesn't do anything for me.

What's the goal of the refeed? Mental, reset hormones? Chit like that? Why do you think after 3 days any kind of refeed is even needed?

IMO, I would stick to meals that are either 1) primarily carbs and protein OR 2) protein and fats. The streams you don't cross, ever if you can avoid it but absolutely never during a refeed/cut is the combination of carbs and fats. That means specifically pizza.

I would go carbs/protein if I wanted to kick up energy for training, I would stick to protein/fats if I wanted a mental break but wanted to jump right back into cutting shortly after. I would also resign myself that at 170lbs with not just a lot of lean weight, that cutting was going to be a fairly difficult and LONG road, not 1 week of bullchit followed by binging on pizza and beer. I think that last one is still a little lost on you there, bro.

Your opinion is irrelevant to me. I have more experience doing this than you can imagine. Believe me. Go find threads I've started if you don't

I'm not opposed to PSMF. I have done it. I have coached others through it. Its a useful tool in the tool box

I'm opposed to ignorant noobs like you wasting your time attempting something dumb because you read about it on this board

We're not talking about the OP bro and he never mentioned #s, but he's fairly lean and smaller, looking like 15% and 170lbs. Dropping 10lbs of fat, not water weight or lean-weight, that is going to take a guy like him some time, especially once he gets very lean (12% range), he might have trouble with even 1lb a week (although that's hardly an unrealistic goal, like 10lbs/2month or anything)

I personally kind of hate LISS, but it's only because I was a fool like the OP years back, dropped to 170lbs from 195 but did it the wrong way and LISS was part of it (although my impatience, diet and meal-timing was the real issue, not LISS). Nowadays, LISS fuks with my knees and I just prefer get cardio done with HIIT on off days, to save time if nothing else.
a lb a day seems doable if you did a 500kcal deficit per day via activity. i like fasted liss because it's all fueled by lipids no matter what. takes forever, but i enjoy walking anyway so it's not a chore

thanks for the response srs. And ok I will skip pizza and do it after going back to lean bulk. So in this case I'll be doing psmf until sunday, use sunday as a day to do a clean refeed, then a couple days of lean bulk then use cheat day that week for pizza lol. My weekly diets on regular bulk is good and on spot with one day of either going out and having some drinks and a pizza. I'm not looking to have some golden physique, one day of binging a week is not going to ruin gains imo.

OP if you really want to do it then really do it.

You might even, ya know, get the book?

Have it around somewhere. Cat 1 it is only 7 to 10 days IIRC. The refeed is high carbs/low fat.

I struggled to eat that many carbs, but figured I would feel better the next day at least. Instead I was really fatigued.

Basically did PSMF the first part of the day and then something like an 8 hour window eating soup, bread, cereal...lots of carbs.

Actually think I had better results with a 5 day water fast. Did not go right to pizza after that either. 3 days eating basically vegan then adding meat and dairy back in.

Like mentioned, Pizza is not a great food to re-feed on during a psmf cycle.

Please, whatever you do, just let us know in 2-3 months how things worked out here. Please. We beg of you. Not that any of us think the outcome is in any doubt, we know exactly what is about to happen. I just want to see you say it when it does.

My dude I am one of the dudes that made it through various cycles of PSMF and I stayed strict the entire time - everything to the gram.

I don't recommend it. Everyone saying it's an eating disorder is right.

it's legit an eating disorder. I've seen so many occasions where people do huge ass binges after (albeit I didn't have the same type of binge, I stayed in ''relative'' control) and it makes me question why they did psmf in the first place. You don't shake off the feeling of feeling like you're in love with food, as if you've never had it before. srs. I developed strange addictions for a few days after i finished cutting altogether and ate **** I never ate before like donuts. A lot of it.

stay away, srs.
