While I typically enjoy watching his debates, I don't really like his style... He doesn't mean to be, but he comes off as a know it all, and a bit condescending. It's subtle, but even as I watch the videos rooting for him, I'm put off for some reason.

So.. I take it you have no counter argument for the fact that we don't live in a "Rape Culture".

The only evidence you need is the Kavanaugh/Blasey-Ford situation currently playing out before us.

Would a "rape culture" believe Ford enough that they'd bend over backwards for her to let her come before congress and speak her accusations?
Would a "rape culture" have probably 50% of the country believing women by default (even though that makes no sense and is in fact, sexist?)
Would a "rape culture" crucify a man by default.. pillory his good name on social media and television.. and make cartoons that ridicule his children?

Yeah, no. We do not live in a society that normalizes rape. We live in a society that normalizes false rape accusations.

how about instead of your weak ad hominem attacks, you bring up a point that you disagree with? Or are you one of those "intellectuals" who think their point of views are "too nuanced to articulate"?

He didn't use the book but he obviously took time to prepare it. I am not saying he should not be preparing and neither am I saying he should not seek discourse. What I am saying is that him not acknowledging the obvious fact that he has an advantage by preparing and knowing the topic of the debate ahead of time, he gives of the impression that a fair debate is not his main objective. A fair debate would give both parties roughly the same time to prepare. No matter what your views are, I am pretty sure you'd be able to articulate your argument way more clearly if you were allowed some time to prepare. This is all I am saying.

To understand where you are coming from: do you think his main objective is understanding the other sides way of thinking and showing them his or do you think he mainly wants to show off?
I think he enjoys winning arguments more than he enjoys convincing people.

Thanks for the book recommendation, I will look at it. All talks of Sowell I've seen so far were pretty good.
It’s kind of funny. First time I heard of Crowder was on Joe Rogan Podcast and they got into a fight about weed.

Crowder got all pissed joe was googling answers and he didn’t have a computer.

Funny exchange.

I agree with all the points he's ever made.

With that said, it is obvious what he is doing. He tries to act like he isn't trying to make a fool of his opponents while he's debating them, but he clearly is. I don't have a problem with it though it's entertaining.

Unfortunately in this society for most people, "I disagree/dislike you" or getting triggered is the equivalent of "you are factually wrong." You may not like Crowder or Shapiro, but they actually make sense 99% of the time.
Crowder doesn't really have the debate skills at all, he is informed on his topics which makes most of the people he debates look like fools, since they just rely on emotions and logical fallacies. It , however makes his style off putting, because it feels like a teacher debating with a kindergartener.

But Shapiro from a febate standpoint is on a way different level than Crowder who seems to pick on the lowest hanging fruit.

categorizing everything into one group sure is good way to stir shiit up.

than debating people that are below his intelligence / unprepared.

is real progress. I am sure those people walked away even more informed after that especially that first girl, that could later ruin someones life.

here is some more controversial topics for Crowder.

abortion should be illegal.

If he wants to battle the indoctrination, why not debate the college professors teaching this to the kids? Why not call them out for a public debate?

Dude @ 40:20 calls him out on his method. Throughout his discussion with Crowder, he kept saying that he disagrees with the way he has gone about it, because he believes he's being intentionally provocative. Crowder keeps trying to dodge that, and tries to drag the kid into a debate that he repeatedly says he doesn't want, and isn't prepared for.
So what are you trying to say? That someone under the age of 25, isn't capable of being rational?

He's not categorizing everything into one group at all. People can chose to sit down with him or not. If they sit down with him, then he articulates why he thinks the way that he does. Clearl you didn't read my post because I said he already debates professors/politicians/and other leading advocates on his show or in other change my mind segments.

I can also tell you don't watch crowder because he already did a pro life segment and a pro 2nd amendment segment.

You could argue that most men have been groped by women as well.

I've lost count of the number of crotch/ass grabs over the years. I guess it's just a joke when it's on a man though and essentialy rape when it's on a woman.

The argument isn't that rape doesn't happen or that people don't get away with rape. The argument is that we don't live in a society that supports rape or tolerates rape. Let's use both of your examples;

when US journalists found out about what was happening inside the Catholic church, they worked hard to expose what happened. If we lived in a rape culture, we couldn't care about exposing the catholic church.

Now with Penn State..what happened with Sandusky? He was put on trail and convicted. His ass was sent to jail and people rejoiced. Doesn't sound like a rape culture to me.

Expect picking on touchy subject that people get emotional about.

Steven Crowder wasn't prepared to deal with this College kid.

He kept cutting the kid off when he was answering his questions. Also he made short speeches, whilst explicitly only wanting the kid to reply in short sentences...

The problem is you are using the traditional definition of rape and not the feminist version of rape.

Society does glorify the ability for a man to say pick up a chick at the bar. However, as we know:

This is rape.

Apparently so is this.

Actually, it is you who isn't articulating anything. Did you even watch the video? not once did he claim that rape doesn't happen. He is saying that we do not live in a society that supports or tolerates rape. You, like that girl (and everyone else in that video) have failed to present any evidence that we live in a rape culture.

Trump can think and say what he wants. We have a first amendment in America.

If the FBI was able to prove that Kavanaugh raped Dr. Ford, he would be immediately eliminated as a candidate for SCOTUS. The fact that we are even having an FBI investigation, despite the fact there there is no evidence, is proof that we do not live in a rape culture. If we lived in a rape culture, Dr. Ford would never have been heard. and Kav would have been nominated right away.

Try again buddy.

Define

support and

tolerate.

These people are so outraged about something they don't even properly understand to begin with. Then they try to change somebody's viewpoint on it which is totally ridiculous.

He's not randomly picking people on the street and blindsiding them live on TV with a mic in their faces. He's sitting down at a table and people voluntarily join him to have discourse.

There is no "preparation". There is being well informed on a subject and not. If you are going to be publicly vocal about your opinions on something, you should know the other side's point of view equally as well if not even better.
Yup. The world needs people like crowder, people than can form an argument and defend it with facts. These kids need to learn this lesson sooner than later, if not they keep spewing the bs their sjw professors taught them and harm our society as a whole. It probably wont help the kids hes talking to, but I can only hope the kids standing around watching take something from this and start questioning the bullchit theyre being taught.

Except that:
1) He doesn’t just set up on campuses. He’s set up on the street. He set up at the freaking Texas Deomcratic convention for one segment. He set up in front of the White House.
2) Even for the ones on campus, he doesn’t just limit it to students. I recall at least one where a professor came down and got involved.
