I work in healthcare, and im very kind... im a really kind nurse. I know lots of other kind people in my job and what we all have in common is either a hard life or mental health problems or both. Ive always thought the reason im so kind is because i cant bear to see others suffering because i know how it feels. A lot of tough things have happened in my life and ive also had severe depression in the past.
So basically wincy i think your post is spot on

The seed of "up by your bootstraps" is in there, yet so is the necessity of meeting both success and failure with humility and graciousness.
This "strong men created good women, good women create weak men" circular logic is the height of that vulgarity, resigning us to the idea that people are just rolling with the external and can't be expected to take charge of themselves and their reactions.
I get where you're coming from wincel, but your posts always seem to be an attempt to get everyone to agree to some weird Rube-Goldberg set of rules by which you're good and the people you don't identify yourself with are bad. People who have the lives you envy must be terrible, by your reasoning, yet you've never seen how they actually came to have those lives. Most of the people I know who have significant personal and professional success are actually highly virtuous people, and most of the people I know who don't are a mess and avoided for a reason.
Life certainly isn't perfectly fair, but whatIfIToldYou.jpg that the real world is actually functioning very well and that the time you spend making up these excuses is just preventing you from engaging with it to your own detriment?

Tl;dr it isn't just about suffering. It is about overcoming adversity and also knowing how to deal with pleasurable experiences. Suffering is necessary but not sufficient. And there are quite a few necessary prerequisites to suffice the "good person" requirement.

I'm going to be a bit blunt, because there is a TV show coming on that I want to watch...
I think you are being overlysimplistic.
I've been doing some on and off research into the effects of childhood trauma on temperament, and overwhelmingly not positive IMO.
In regards to violence... Shame and humilation seem to be the universal catalysts for violence. People who are easily prone to violence, tend to have very unstable self worth, and feelings of threat, shame or humiliation are very easily triggered (eg. by a look, a slightly raised voice, being in the presence of someone who they aren't sure if they could beat up, etc).
Based on what I've read, many violent career criminals were not given the kind of pampered backgrounds that someone might expect by the 'suffering creates good people' mantra.
FWIW, here are 2 articles on the link between Humilation, Shame and Violence...
https://www.jstor.org/stable/4097196...n_tab_contents
http://www.humiliationstudies.org/do...Y07meeting.pdf
James Giligan (the authour of the first article), lead an intervention team to help cut down the high level of serious violence and suicide in a psychiatric prison. He basically treated violence as a mental health issues, and began to treat the inmates fragile self worth, and trauma related to humilation and shame...
"RESULTS:
During the year before RSVP began, there were 24 violent incidents serious enough to have constituted felonies had they occurred in the community (roughly three per month) in the 62-bed dorm. During the first month RSVP was in effect there was one such incident; and for the following 12 months, there were none. During that same year, the control dorm that still followed traditional jail practices had 28 violent incidents."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/...hare=nynyumlib
Also, the ACE test (Adverse childhood experiences test) is a predictor of a dysfunctional life...
"The CDC’s Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACE Study) uncovered a stunning link between childhood trauma and the chronic diseases people develop as adults, as well as social and emotional problems. This includes heart disease, lung cancer, diabetes and many autoimmune diseases, as well as depression, violence, being a victim of violence, and suicide.

However, I agree with Sister Miriam James Heidland, that our hearts can be broken open (meaning we can become more benevolent, empathetic, and compassionate) by experiences of suffering, beauty and love. It's normally (in my personal experience, and from what I've heard and read from numerous people who have turned their character's around) is that beginning to process their suffering can open their hearts, but the suffering in and of itself doesn't automatically create a caring heart.
"If we do not transform our pain, we will most assuredly transmit it"- Richard Rohr
Conclusion:
It's better for a person to have benevolent, empathetic and compassionate parents, along with living in a low violent crime community, within a country that has established a general rule of law. "Hurt people, hurt people" as the saying goes - and the research is showing that.

Adding to the above.
IMO an issue with incels, is that a lot of them seem to find it deeply shameful and humiliating to be a virgin or struggle with dating (understandable, a lot of men will shame other men for being virgins, or struggling with dating. Look at the misc for example).
Which is probably why a lot of them become bitter... As you seem to be increasingly becoming wincel. Especially with some of the previous comments you've made in other threads (eg. saying that 2 women having acid throw in their faces,"would honestly be an improvement and the best thing that could ever happen to them.").
I think you need to take a good hard look in the mirror dude. Though I think you wrote in a previous thread that being an incel has become a part of your identify, and has shaped you - and so you seem to be reluctant to earnestly try to change your psychology?

That way of life can easily create self absorption, selfishness and narcissism, like you said. You live in the world of man never knowing anything else. Its happened over and over in our history all the way back to Kane & Abel. Eventually we were wiped out because of all this.

My question to Wincel would be - how chit was your childhood versus your adulthood?
You see, i'm quite a compassionate, caring guy (akin to yourself), but I owe a lot of that to the suffering I've endured in my adultlife rather than my childhood. My childhood was actually fairly carefree, loving and I didn't experience anything close to hardship.
As a kid, if all you've known is pain, suffering and outright nasty kents, then that's ALL YOU KNOW. You have noexperienceof kindness and compassion, so how the fuk do you develop it? Well, what it means is that you have to experience it in adult life instead, but anyone who's an adult knows you're far less likely to experience care and compassion during your adult life than you will your childhood.
In short: I think you need to lay the ground-work for being a decent person and everyone needs a frame of reference for that, and obviously the best time for this is childhood.

Ted Bundy
Bundy's grandfather beat his wife and the family dog and swung neighborhood cats by their tails. He once threw Louise's younger sister Julia down a flight of stairs for oversleeping.[22] He sometimes spoke aloud to unseen presences,[23] and at least once he flew into a violent rage when the question of Ted's paternity was raised.[22] Bundy described his grandmother as a timid and obedient woman who periodically underwent electroconvulsive therapy for depression[23] and feared to leave their house toward the end of her life.[24] Ted occasionally exhibited disturbing behavior, even at that early age. Julia recalled awakening one day from a nap to find herself surrounded by knives from the Cowell kitchen; her three-year-old nephew was standing by the bed, smiling.[25]
Ed GeinAugusta took advantage of the farm's isolation by turning away outsiders who could have influenced her sons.[11] Edward left the farm only to attend school. Outside of school, he spent most of his time doing chores on the farm. Augusta was fervently religious, and nominally Lutheran. She preached to her boys about the innate immorality of the world, the evil of drinking, and her belief that all women (except herself) were naturally prostitutes and instruments of the devil. She reserved time every afternoon to read to them from the Bible, usually selecting graphic verses from the Old Testament concerning death, murder, and divine retribution.[12]
Edward was shy, and classmates and teachers remembered him as having strange mannerisms, such as seemingly random laughter, as if he were laughing at his own personal jokes. To make matters worse, his mother punished him whenever he tried to make friends. Despite his poor social development, he did fairly well in school, particularly in reading.[11]
Andrei ChikatiloEdward was shy, and classmates and teachers remembered him as having strange mannerisms, such as seemingly random laughter, as if he were laughing at his own personal jokes. To make matters worse, his mother punished him whenever he tried to make friends. Despite his poor social development, he did fairly well in school, particularly in reading.[11]
Chikatilo's parents were both collective farm labourers who lived in a one-room hut[4] and who received no wages for their work, but instead received the right to cultivate a plot of land behind the family hut. The family seldom had sufficient food; Chikatilo himself later claimed not to have eaten bread until the age of twelve,[5] adding that he and his family often had to eat grass and leaves in an effort to stave off hunger.[6]
Chikatilo recalled his childhood as being blighted by poverty, ridicule, hunger, and war.[9]
He was a chronic bed wetter[13] and was berated and beaten by his mother for each offense.
In 1943 Chikatilo's mother gave birth to a baby girl, Tatyana. Because Chikatilo's father had been conscripted in 1941, he could not have fathered this child. As many Ukrainian women were raped by German soldiers in World War II, it has been speculated Tatyana was conceived as a result of a rape committed by a German soldier. As Chikatilo and his mother lived in a one-room hut, this rape may have been committed in Chikatilo's presence.[14]]

Cullen was born in West Orange, New Jersey, and was the youngest of eight children. His father, a bus driver, was 58 years old at the time of Cullen's birth and died when he was seven months old. At age nine, Cullen, who has described his childhood as miserable, made the first of many suicide attempts by drinking chemicals from a chemistry set. Later, working as a nurse, Cullen claimed to have fantasized about stealing drugs from the hospital where he worked and using them to end his life.
William BoninWilliam Bonin was born in Connecticut in January 1947, the second of three brothers born to Robert and Alice Bonin. Both of Bonin's parents were alcoholics, and his father was a compulsive gambler who was physically abusive towards both his wife and children.[5] Bonin and his brothers were severely neglected as children, and were often fed and clothed by sympathetic neighbors.[6] In addition, the brothers were often placed in the care of their grandfather, a convicted child molester who had molested Bonin's mother when she had been a child and adolescent, and who is known to have sexually abused his three grandsons.[7]

Maybe a bad environment triggers extreme psychopathy but if a person has a stable mind then they will not fall victim to it, but a genetically fuked up person will eventually be evil because it's in their nature.
I'm not gonna lie and say I read all of the sources I posted lol but it's common sense to me, you can just tell that some kids are more fuked in the head from a young age, maybe they have a bad home but that doesn't automatically turn them evil.. A lot of these serial killers were decapitating animals when they were like 7.. Like how the fuk do you go from alcoholic father to skinning cats lol
People are depressed because of a chemical imbalance, they can be gays, kid/animal fukers and all that chit.. They might never act on it but the seed is there in their fuked up brain.. imo genetics are everything, the same way you can be gifted as a 6'6 super athlete you can also be gifted with a healthy, stable brain (which I think is the most important trait you can have in life).. Like I said, environment can trigger it but it's not the root cause.
This is just my opinion, I never studied this chit but I feel like it's common sense.

I think isolation is the main culprit. Youll never see violence quicker than when you try to take someones voice away. Thats why if you ever deal with someone like that you gotta acknowledge their plight. Everyone wants their voice heard
Like right now, if i came to your home and tried to take your things away youd prob become violent. Id be constricting your power, youd feel helpless and act out
So, for instance, the psychopaths that grow up with abusive parents.. The parents take their voice away. Would only seem natural, imo, for the child growing up wanting to take power away from others. Humans love their individual autonomy
Competition has its place in here as well.

Within the last four decades, our view of the mature vertebrate brain has changed significantly. Today it is generally accepted that the adult brain is far from being fixed. A number of factors such as stress, adrenal and gonadal hormones, neurotransmitters, growth factors, certain drugs, environmental stimulation, learning, and aging change neuronal structures and functions. The processes that these factors may induce are morphological alterations in brain areas, changes in neuron morphology, network alterations including changes in neuronal connectivity, the generation of new neurons (neurogenesis), and neurobiochemical changes

I'm not gonna bother searching for more links but from a quick google search you will learn that most violent criminals come from broken homes

I just googled serial killers with a good upbringing and found a list:
- Ted Bundy
- Paul Bernardo
- Jeffrey Dahmer
- Harold Shipman
- Steve Wright
Doesn't mean chit, you can't draw conclusions from something so vague like a good upbringing.. Especially since there are millions of people with a bad childhood that turned out fine, you probably know a few in your circle of friends or work that had what was considered a chitty upbringing but they don't go around killing people.. and when I say "evil by nature" I mean a psycho kunt, thought it was pretty obvious.

Far more common is someone who is merely moderately personality disordered, and most of those people you'll encounter in real life are people whodidknow struggle, and instead of persevering, found some other bizarre coping mechanism to avoid doing the hard work. The narcissist expects others to tell them they are good instead of actually being good, and they lash out when they're confronted with it. The borderline rages against others for abandoning them but denies all accountability for their role in driving people away. It more or less parallels what I was quoting from the Enchiridion, 2,000 years ago, about the "vulgarity" of people who rely on the external instead of the internal to set themselves right.
That person having a glamorous life and getting everything they ever wanted is like a unicorn compared to the one who is a total disaster, constantly embroiled in their own drama and two steps from jail and the family and bankruptcy courts while they spread tall tales of their own moral perfection or perceived victimization. It works, until it stops working, and then they implode and have to move on to new prey when others realize what's going on and distance themselves.
TL;DR: Socioeconomic status is not a vaccine against being a piece of chit; it's not what you went through but how you dealt with it; and life eventually teaches you that anyone, anywhere, regardless of their background, can turn out to be a disappointing nutcase who lives in a fantasy world.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

It has been claimed that Dahmer was deprived of attention as an infant.[10] As Dahmer's mother found the routine of breastfeeding exhausting and irritating, she refused to feed her son in this manner.[11] Other sources, however, suggest that Dahmer was doted upon as an infant and toddler by both parents, although his mother was known to be tense, greedy for attention, and argumentative with her husband and their neighbors.[5]
As her son entered first grade, Joyce Dahmer began to spend an increasing amount of her time in bed recovering from weakness. Lionel's university studies kept him away from home much of the time; when he was home, his wife demanded constant attention. She reportedly worked herself into a state of anxiety over trivial matters simply to appease her husband. On one occasion, Joyce Dahmer attempted suicide from an overdose of the Equanil pills to which she had become addicted.[12] Consequently, neither parent devoted much time to their son.[12][13]

You're completely missing my point of how a chitty childhood doesn't automatically make a person into a serial killer but it increases the possibility of a person with a brain defect to act on those psychotic impulses.
Any little negative thing and you consider it a bad upbringing lmao? That means 90% of people had a bad childhood..
When I think bad childhood I think poverty, getting sexually abused, beaten etc.. There are negative aspects in everyone's upbringing, lmao at lack of attention.. My parents were always working and I don't remember seeing them when I was young, guess I should have been a serial killer then...

Congrats you just specified why there are so many radical militant Muslims. They think you can not be a good person without suffering(having a chit life so you can die pure for god)
No you dont need to suffer to be a good person, but you do need good parents which most people dont have.
When you take for granted everything good you have the mundane becomes extreme. Enter the social justice warriors to make a big deal out of nothing.
