Mind = blown so many people itt are saying they never get bored/tired/annoyed after so many years together. It's almost guaranteed to happen especially if you live together.

You should look for what you want in a partner.

But just for perspective the last bit you are on about there could just be a difference in what are called "love languages".

I grew up with two traditional grandmas, one of which I spent almost as much time with as I did with my mom. And I still remember how nice it was to stay with her because she cared and she showed it through actions. Saying "I love you" or giving verbal praise just didn't happen much in that family. In fact my dad (her son) didn't start saying "I love you" to me until I was in my 30s.

But I don't remember ever feeling like she didn't love me. She just showed it with gifts and physical care taking...as in hot meals, freshly made beds and clean clothes. Remembering to get your favorite snack, tucking an afghan around you when you started to doze off on the sofa, turning on a light when you were reading in a room that had grown dim as the sun went down...actions.

And that is the model that I have too. I don't love cleaning. I don't have a passion for errands. Left on my own I will rarely cook. I do those things for my family because it is how I show that I care and because I genuinely enjoy seeing them happy.

Just something to think about.

have noticed that legit career women are slightly easier to deal with since they are forced to exist in the real world. dated a lawyer and a doctor who was about to finish her residency and this was the case. don't get me wrong, they were still ultimately kunts.

lol sorry to hear brah. yeah I sort of lucked out in a lot of aspects with her. super easy going likes sports, exercise, good food, no social media etc. We also grew up together so its easier to get along. I think after a certain age people don't change or at least not easily.

I have the feeling if its meant to be it should be easy from the off. but seem every woman today has tonnes of attention and puts in 0 effort.
You just described how a good portion of men date. The real issue a lot of "men today" have is you think you can do all this dumb crap and single women are supposed to wait on by their phones for you. Then when the one you want isn't interested in you you can't handle it.

To be honest I really hate it when people put marriage at either extreme (awful/great). The reality is that almost every marriage will swing between the two and there will be long durations of "meh" in the middle. When you boil it down, sometimes you have good years and sometimes you have bad years. Anyone telling you their marriage is great 100% of the time is either bold face lying or delusional....

In the end marriage is work. Most people dont have it in them. Thats why cheating, divorce, dead bedrooms and "staying in it for the kids" are a thing..

You're 58.

You were spared the degeneracy of today's women and the social media game.

Consider yourself lucky you met her 30 years ago.

If she were 19 today, she'd be a different life.

14 year old girls and boys are watching porn on their smartphones. They look into every sort of perversion known to mankind, thanks to the internet.

When I was a kid in the 90s, we were way more innocent. Teen kids had no idea how to perform sex, etc.... but nowadays, you have 15 year olds talking like grown men because they copied what they see on the internet.

You combine that..... with stuff like Instagram, ********, Snapchat? And is your girl attractive? Games over. She getting all sorts of dick pics in her inbox..... shirtless pics, dirty messages, etc.

Wholesome loyal women are unicorns nowadays.

Honestly this, i spoke to a woman that was married for 50 years. Her husband passed away few years ago and she was so happy to have found him. I realized a marriage like that doesn't exist for our generation. The majority of people getting married will get divorced in 25 years. Social media, cell phones, and dating sites all play a massive role in society now. Sadly its hindered the success rate of marriages.

Always interesting to me how miscers complain about the modern woman when they are exactly the same. Attention whores(in misc half naked), arrogant, constantly negative and naggy, serial daters, cheaters(if they can even get a date), crazy as hell, tinder users, social media addicted, etc. You are only dating your equal. If you don't like it then make some changes. You'll attract the type of people you want in your life. You can't be scummy then wonder why you aren't attracting "good girls".

This so much. I hate to be the one to say it, but the average 25 yo woman is way more likley to have her chit together than the average 25 yo male. Look at yourself first boyos.

The thing about relationships is it takes both parties to make it work.

And it has been this way for some time now. Those who think Clive is an exception because he's old: I'm 38 and am happily married, too. Or is the argument that 'women are x and y and marriage is worthless' only for people in their 20s today, because somehow today is so different...(hint: cope)

simple fact is it's a title and a legal risk. that's it. if titles matter to you than by all means be my guest. I'm not married and live with my GF of almost 4 years. our relationship is no different than any married people that we know with the exception of if we ever break up we don't have to get lawyers and spend tons of cash to do it. in fact there is an advantage to us not being married. her incentive to not become a fat, nagging total b*tch is still there because I can leave and keep my stuff. if we got married her incentive NOT to become those things disappears completely because if I got fed up and wanted to leave she would have her pick of my chit and could destroy me financially.

Most people will marry someone they are attracted to and someone they think they enjoy being around with. They'll have kids, bodies and personalities will change then they realize it's too much effort to make a change since their social value is a lot lower now. Most people will be happy to just "put up" with someone, it then becomes a business relationship. It would be such a small % of people who can keep that passion ignited for decades on end. Most people just end up accepting.

Outside of finding that true 1 person that you are attracted to in everywhere even as they age, most men would probably accept a way to have kids while still having sex with endless attractive women if they could.
