You're gonna lose lots of weight for sure but visible abs in 3 months? Not gonna happen boyo.

But, I might be wrong and OP might have lots of abs muscles under his belly fat

I think sodium levels made me think I had lost more than I really had last week due to lower intake and more sweating.

That's changed now, so I'm really down 8lbs since Oct 1.

Gonna take a pic on Nov 1 and hope to be down 9lbs total by then

Still quite a ways to go

Let's goooooooo

Have you tried incorporating fasted cardio? I've been doing 15-20 mins of HIIT in the AM 4-5 days a week for about two months and have dropped a significant amount of BF. I seem to be retaining a lot of muscle mass as well. Just an idea. You may have already talked about this in the thread, not sure

i've been doing endless hours of fasted LISS (avg 2.5/d). HIIT makes me hypoglycemic and feel like death, and i have all the time in the world since i got rid of my GF lol. the one downside is that the weather is turning into chit here so, it's getting brutal to walk around in the rain.

Guess it all depends on what you mean by visible abs if you're gonna make it.

You can easily get to 15-16% body fat and have visible abs while flexing under good lighting, which for all intents and purposes would satisfy the conditions of your initial post

So in such a case, I believe you're gonna make it boyo... After that you should just keep going until you get to sub 10%, then eat a little over maintenance and look juicy for the summer.

Your posting goals of 2019 will be safe due to the way you phrased the OP.

Das it mane. I'm in the same boat as you. I used to be lean as fuk (well, like 11-12%) but stopped lifting for 10 months, ate nothing but junk food and frequently drank 16+ beers a night during that time. Lol gained like 40 pounds of fat srs.

Today I started a diet. Will start lifting consistently tomorrow.

You want visible abs in a short period of time, then check out the P90x before and after photos. I'm not saying do the program, but they have this workout called Ab Ripper or Ab Ripper X. Try to find it and do that 5 days a week. Then get an ab roller and do 50-100 reps out of it 5 days a week, too. P90X is based on a 90 day transformation workout for beginners. So surely doing the ab workouts in it and using an ab roller should get you some abs in a short period of time with low body fat.

And add some push ups for good measure.

Anyone heard of the Snake diet guy?

Those protocols are pretty hardcore, but OP you might want to try a couple longer fasts in your routine. Try fasting 40-48 hours a couple times a week. Lift normally, just lower volume if you’re not eating that day.

At this point, you need to think outside the box. CICO isn’t working, you can’t exercise more or eat less, you’ll just F your metabolism...

Further, not trying to be a dick but your waist in OP looks thicker than 34”, sure you’re measuring right?

........

How to Measure Your Waist:
1. Start at the top of your hip bone, then bring the tape measure all the way around your body, level with your belly button.
2. Make sure it's not too tight and that it's straight, even at the back. 3. Don't hold your breath while measuring.
4. Check the number on the tape measure right after you exhale.

DYEL bro?

Good luck mane... plenty of time to turn it around and be in tip-top shape as others in your age group enter the dad-bod era.

Isn't OP like early or mid 30s? Seems on the young side for any man to throw in the towel and embrace fatness. Yeah, sure, plenty of guys do... but there is no need whatsoever.

Any dude who watches what he eats and hits the gym in his 30s, meaning 30-39, should have no problem keeping themselves looking fit and good. Fuk, guys don't even peak in raw strength until around age 35...

October 1 - 179lbs

November 1 - 171.5lbs

Waist has decreased by 1.5 inches

The difference is...not as much as I was wanting for that much weight. I dismissed the people saying I'd need to lose 25-30 but that's looking like a legit prediction. Gonna be increasing activity like an after school special about anorexia. Inb4 I'm losing zero fat and all muscle lol

I didn't read the thread but going off my eyes, it looks like you're cutting down the amount you're drinking but you're not lifting at all.

for x5 better results i'd start hitting the gym 4 days a week.

Damn brah you might be understimating how much weight you need to lose. Maybe 20 lbs for abs considering how much fat is in your midsection.

Lifting correctly and lifting incorrectly are two different beasts.

With your physique, keep it simple. Deads, squat, rows, bench and OHP. Pullups, chinups and lunges when you want to get fancy. Maybe some curls and tri pressdowns if you have energy and time at the end of a workout.

With your weight loss, you got 2 months. I don't think you're measuring your waist right. You said you were 34 in the first pic and claim to have lose 1-1/2 inches?

Bullchit. Bullchit. Not a fuking chance in the world you're 5'10" with a 32-1/2" waist and a slight pear shape love-handly non-muscled physique. You're doing it wrong and the problem is, you do things wrong, you do not know where you sit. If you can't accurately measure where you are, how can you make a plan to succeed?

Dude, try this for a week. Take a couple days, trim down the carbs. Then, eat every other day. If you are lifting, you can eat two meals. If you're eating on a day you're not lifting, OMAD. There will be days that go by that you lift and don't eat, deal with it. You will be eating the day after, within 48 hours, so you'll be fine. Hit the gym 3-4 a week. Do accessory work on between days, sled pulls, HITT jogging, whatever you are able to do that gets blood flow pumping.

You need something drastic. You got WEEKS and by the looks of you, a LOT of fat that must be burned and you're not making much progress, at least visibly. Your measurements aside, because I think you're fuking it up, you look the same.

Boydfat%-wise, you have no separation in the delts or arms, doesn't look like much in the chest. Slight pear shape. I don't see your back or legs so it's hard to say. My guess, 18-24%, probably a hair over 20%. You got work ahead of you, man.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Dude, try this for a week. Take a couple days, trim down the carbs. Then, eat every other day. If you are lifting, you can eat two meals. If you're eating on a day you're not lifting, OMAD.

You got work ahead of you, man.
mathemagically speaking, 20lbs should do it though, right? 17lbs is 10%. I can lose 10lbs a month for the next two months no problem. just need to replace all sitting with moving.

i can't decrease food anymore. i'm eating just enough carbs from whole fruit to fend off hypoglycemia. protein is at 180g. fat is at like 40g (decreasing it dries my skin out and will probably make my dick fall off). i simply can't drop it anymore.
