OT anything above 100kg (225) bench, anything about 150k deadlift and anything above 140k squat. I never see any of those at my gym,l. Some old dude was busting out around 100kg clean and jerk which was pretty impressive the other week too

Girls/Guys who are in incredible shape.
Girls who can do pull ups for reps.
Out of shape people who turn up consistently and lose weight.
People with crazy flexibility/gymnastic skills.
Really heavy barbell lifts (who can't be impressed by that?).
People being generally nice to each other.

And I find those people a motivation in the gym as opposed to guys doing 4 sets in 25 minutes on the flat bench and constantly typing on their cell phones between sets.I'm impressed every time I see someone in the gym pushing themselves outside their comfort zone.
This plus gym etiquette makes for a great workout environment.

At this point with all the hipster dweebs hanging out in there all the time, I'm mildly impressed with anyone for simply refraining from acting like a total douche. Low expectations of others in the gym crew.

Today some older dude (just realized I'm ****ing 44...older than me, probably mid-50s) politely asked if I was done with the rack, I said yes, he then proceeded to do a couple sets of warmup squats, worked up to 245 with perfect form and good depth. Then he re-racked everything.
Basically excellent gym etiquette, proper use and care of the equipment, and actually did real lifts with a decent amount of weight. A gym unicorn, and one I hardly ever see anymore.

In this particular order:
*Disabled people lifting weights
*Fat people busting their ass at the gym
*Anyone looking like they're busting their ass at the gym. Whether you're lifting 10 lbs or 100 lb dumbbells, if your form is good and it looks like you're challenging yourself, it's impressive enough.
*Women that are there to lift and not just look pretty in tights
Had a 1-legged amputee lift at my gym years ago and the dude was jacked. Never did any heavy weights but the dude was in good shape and was pretty impressive. Nice guy, as well.

Overweight people who you can tell feel conspicuous but are there working out anyway.
People lifting with really good control over their reps.
People who leave their cell phones in the locker room.

But in my gym I have exactly seen one guy squatting above 3 plates and I see people benching 3plates (for 1-3 reps only though) almost on a weekly basis.
95% of them don't squat/deadlift though and even if they do they squat 165.
80% of gymgoers are skipping legday in my area or just do some "500" legpress for reps
it's that bad.

I guess when people lift very heavy with good form.
Young kids who are there all the time and actually work out hard and don't fuk around with friends.
Girls who lift with barbells and not that stupid fluff booty work and 5 lb dumbbells.
A heavy strict press, that actually has full ROM. Rarely see it in my gym.

2 plate strict OHP
4+ plate squats
5+ plate deadlifts
If I see someone throwing out 5 reps with 3 plates on the bench with good form thatโs impressive.
A lean physique is impressive too if the dude has decent size.... and girls who throw barbells around doing deads and squats with 45lb iron plates and not the full diameter bumper plates that weigh less.

People who are sub 10% bodyfat, or same sort of bodyfat levels for girls (basically lean)
Small waists/V tapers
People who do gymnastic/callisthetic style workouts, balance impresses me a lot.
9/10+ girls
Strength to low body weight ratios
