I went to a private catholic HS. Sophomore year, the bell rang in Geometry class and one of the kids got up to leave, but the teacher wasn't done with what he was saying yet, so he walked over, punched the kid in the chest, and told him to sit back down. We were all shocked. Teacher finished. We all left. Never heard another word about it. The guy is still there all these years later. He's the dean of students now. I don't think any of us thought what happened was any great crime either. If anything, the student would have gotten in trouble back in those days.

There was another cheapshotting little punk in the classroom who jumped in. Why do these people always fight in groups? No such thing as one vs. one. They always have to jump in because they know their mouthy punk friends can't win one vs. one. Good thing he was caught on camera. He'll go down too.

It seems like these are probably illegals as well. I saw a longer news clip of parents supposedly upset by what the teacher did and all of the parents were speaking Spanish.

Your teacher had some srs issues. You don't just simply punch someone who's leaving. Pretty sure if I had hit you in the chest in front of a police officer he'd arrest me.

when i was in grade school, you could IQ test into "GATE" which was gifted and talented education. it sequestered all the nerds together away from the retards. you then had honors and AP classes in middle and high school so you never really mixed with trash like this. there were certainly some bullchit classes like music where you'd mix with them and it was like being on a Con Air flight.

that was in southern california, but way before the demographics shifted heavily.

But, he definitely had anger issues. He was the varsity baseball coach for a long time. I remember senior year he was pissed off and showing his middle infielders how he wanted them to play DP balls and he took a bad hop to the face that gave him a bloody lip. The starting CF laughed and was kicked off the team right then and there.

the courage of today's youth is astounding.

Back when might ruled you didn't see scrawny punks running their mouths because they knew they'd get theirs.

This child obviously doesn't have a parent in the household to keep him accountable.

I don't think that's necessarily true, the difference is cell phones and the internet.

When I was in middle school I remember in 6th or maybe 7th some kid came to school outta nowhere named Jabari.

The kid was a ****ing man child, I was 5'6", 145 Lbs. or so, this kid had to be maybe like 6'1", 200 or so, and you could tell bad news.

Anyways one day he broke the art teacher's jaw, then got sent to the office and beat up the principal.

Teacher made the mistake of punching the kid. When the kid squared up he should have immediately contacted the principle and a school resource officer if they have one. Kid deserved it but he shouldn't have gotten on his level.



That kind of behavior should be an automatic suspension and if repeated expel them from that school.

I'm sure 50 years ago kids behaved like azzholes, esp in inner city schools. Same with some of the teachers. They just didn't all carry around camera phones like they do now.
