I'm dropping into the fetal position as soon as the bell rings.

When I read the title I was strategizing to just use my wrestling and Jiu jitsu, but boxing rules only? 10 seconds tops. He'd realize that my standup is embarrassing and just go on the assault.

tyson has as many street fights as the whole misc has any fights

he'd break his hand on your face though like he did with spinks, so you could say afterward that you technically injured him, if you survived

edit: nvm, it was mitch green

That is a sane answer.

I think I would be looking at brain damage, and needing professional care for the rest of my life.

An untrained amateur bodybuilder's punch ain't doing a thing to a prime Mike Tyson. Even if they connect, let's be real.

The dude was getting hit by people who weigh just as much as the biggest miscers, who are also professional world class boxers.

I think you're severely underestimating their chances. I legit think that a prime Tyson could let them punch them as hard as they can, and it wouldn't do a thing.

Good luck to any bodybuilder trying to land a punch...

i agree, but fighting is a weird thing and the physics of making someone's brain rattle are what they are. it would be the tiniest chance, but still possible.

i think prime fedor could have KO'ed him in a boxing match srs

Most bodybuilders I've seen are arm punchers, and don't create enough torque. I don't know about that...You've seen Conor put MMA guys down no problem, but Floyd walked right through his punches. The power just doesn't translate the same with the larger gloves.

i agree about arm-punching. i've seen pro boxers who simply can't figure it out and untrained people who naturally do it. i think it's partially genetic or else some people are just uncoordinated dumbasses. the gloves add power though...

They do add to the compression of the punch, but it's not that significant...Especially when you're dealing with someone that's taken thousands of punches. I just don't think any MMA fighter has put in enough punch technique work to worry most pro boxers.

Yeah body builders have the size but not the technique to generate power. One body builder I know off who became a pro boxers was Louis Monaco. Despite his impressive physique he wasn't a big puncher and never got beyond journeymen level and was even KO'ed by the morbidly obese Butterbean in a round.

Holly Holm showed the difference in power between boxing and MMA. As a boxer she had only 9 KO's in 33 wins but has 8 KO's in 12 MMA wins. In boxing she was feather fisted while she was a decent puncher in MMA. Just because you hit hard in MMA doesn't mean you hit hard for a boxer.
