today, when many of the millenial generation graduated or entered the workforce right around the 2008 housing crisis, they have far greater debts, and far less income.

millenials paid something like, what, 1,200% more than the boomer generation for education (ive seen figures ranging from 1000% more to 20,000% more lololololol)

millenials earn something like, what, 20% less than the boomer generation when accounting for inflation

and they wonder why nobody is buying a house

the boomers were entitled as

anyway go fist yourselves
Do you even know what age boomers are?

Lets see, you're physically weaker then any other generation, and a good deal of you have your cellphones glued to your hands, you ruin concerts, you ruined the college experience, you cry about the stress of working, you're ruining gyms, so many of you live with your parents till you're in your 30's, you're also forcing the military to reduce their standards, you're pretty much reducing standards across the board.

This is double true in some states (California) where you're a wage slave unless you're a nurse, doctor or work for ********/Google/etc.

I always use myself as example. I make 18/hr as a paramedic. It was a solid 1.5 years of school to get this cert on top of EMT cert and all the classes (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, ITLS, AMLS, EVOC, etc) that you have to do. The usual response from people here is "Just do something else dumb ass" without realizing that this is a required job for society to function. The fact that I'm paid what I am and will never, ever, ever own a house or even a car that is less than 7-8 years old says something about the environment, not my work values. This isn't just my field. It's the field for a lot of people who do the jobs that mean you can function and drive to work for whatever job it is you do. Scary thought to think that the dude who might be saving your mom or dad's life is on hour 80 of their workweek and hasn't slept in a couple days.

The problem with miscers is they're too autistic to understand society crumbling around them and instead try to pull the CEO/10k a day crap as real life when it's not.

...millennials also got ****ed over in MANY ways.

The problem is that people only care about themselves, and at best, their own generation.
So they're willing to **** over EVERY OTHER GENERATION for their personal benefit because... that's just human nature.

For instance, in my state, there's a government employee retirement program called PERS. And the people that voted for the specifics of the program?

They were recipients of the program. Guess how that went?

They took EVERYTHING and BURNED IT TO THE GROUND for every other generation.

They had no-risk, GUARANTEED RETURNS OF 7% on their pension accounts.

Those investments performed REALLY WELL. Returned 15% or more.

Financial experts said it won't stay this way, but you get to decide to keep all the money, or to put it into the system so future generations can benefit.

I'll bet you can guess what happened.

As a result, my states public schools are ****ED. The kids? ****ED.

Our biggest school district? Lead in the water.

Public employees? ****ED.

But those baby boomers?

By 2000, most of them were making the SAME SALARY, POST-RETIREMENT.
Some were making more.

This is the attitude of humans, not just baby boomers. When you let people make decisions with a conflict of interest... what the **** do you think's gonna happen?

And this happens at EVERY LEVEL of government.

most millenials had the mind set of "you only YOLO once" and lived way outside of their means.
-they took out student loans for an over priced education on something useless
-they used their student loans to live outside of their means. worse is that their parents also took out student loans to help them live lifestyle they couldnt afford
-they couldnt get a job so they went on to get an advanced degree in something useless
-and when they finally found a job, they kept on buying useless crap. it's amazing that despite making minimum wage, they still spend money going out and drinking coffee.

millenials that are doing well today did the opposite.
-they got a degree in something worthwhile and something of value
-they used their money responsibly and stayed within their means
-they were practical and had good priorities

Xactly, boomers were in the one of America's greatest periods of growth following the victory in WWII and fall of USSR and growth of technology

Min wage of 1980, 1985 IIRC is 3x, 2.35x min wage in today's money ($21, $17)

Yeah I'm sure when I'm making $21 out of high school at the factory just by stopping by and applying person I'll b able to pay my debt and afford things

Plus tuition, bills, organized fraud, and social programs weren't that saturated at the time plus less globization and less immigration

But that still doesn't excuse reckless, impulsive, and irresponsible decision making and priorities of idiot millennials going to college getting a BS degree in communications or psychology racking 40k with zero intern experience

College, sales, trades, gov, protective forces, art, athletics, crime

That's the options w their own barriers to entry and drawbacks

The older generation didn't help the economy at all, but millennials also complain about everything, don't want to work (most aren't even trying) and are offended/outraged at seemingly everything. A lot of them also think communism is the answer.

That's why they will loan out $200k for a 100% USELESS ****ing degree that even at best has little to no ability to pay back that loan, ever. They don't care they will still get paid. So schools say **** it and just keep jacking their prices up. All while preaching and sending funds out to make everybody a slave to college. Newsflash back in the day not everybody has degrees, so degrees meant something. Now days? Everybody has one, it ain't that special anymore.

Lawyer, not making money? No ****, its a completely over saturated industry now. Unless you're going to a T14 school or going into lobbying, no point in expecting huge $$.
Agreed but you're also missing one point. Once the government started backing student loans, diploma mills started popping up by the hundreds. You can get a student loan for the ****ing University of Phoenix.

In our parents generation the amount of people with a useful college degree was small. Now even historically good fields to go into are becoming over saturated because of BS online schools and diploma mills all over the country that have the primary purpose of passing students through 4 years, not actually making them learn anything.

Not to mention numerous cases of millenials not being promoted or even hired because companies prefer to keep boomer who refuse to adapt new management/technology or even scientific updates.

-millenial parents were able to find quality jobs right out of high school and college was also affordable. the problem with millenials is that they went to college for the experience, not the education. they could have gotten help from their parents; they could have stayed at home and go to the college near them. instead, they wanted to pretend to be an adult and live on campus or on their own.
-sure, there is wage stagnation, but how can you justify increasing wages on a low skilled job. increasing those wages will only reward people and encourage them to stay in their low skilled jobs. if you want more, get a job that pays more. if you cant get it, then make yourself more marketable.
-job/career opportunities revolve on the market. if the market is saturated with a given skillset, then job opportunities will decrease, as with the wages. students should be getting trained and educated on what is in demand.
-govt subsidised student loans should only be given out to students getting trained/educated on something in demand and marketable. since student loans dont discriminate, it allowed colleges to increase tuition, mandate useless courses, and give out useless degrees. they created an under-prepared workforce burdened with debt.

Sorry but that could only explain the US.
Europe and Canada are going through the same and have none of that.

Europe has countries exporting doctors, nurses, engineers, scientist because there is no market for them. Or because the pay is absurd.
Netherlands has it. Germany has it. UK has it.

Lol my dad talks about this chit.

His parents inherited his moms dads business and hit a huge thing and became popular.

So, basically.. Even though my gparents were kunts they were always kinda wealthy.

Hes like the exact embodiment that i see of a lot of conservative miscers. Always been silver spoon fed and think it just comes down to "ambition" and other simple things while their parents have helped them sooo much. Literally every piece of furniture in their house are hammedowns from his parents.

I didnt get any

He has a 400k building that he only got because of his parents. He couldnt afford anything like this for me and my brothers.

His mom, just dropped 30k for him for a truck (hes 57 years old). Meanwhile my pops only got my oldest bro a car. My youngest bro and i didnt get one until like 19-20.

Hes the most racist, ignorant dude out of the family and a lot of it has to do with his spoiledness imo. The audacity to speak on financial matters while youve inherited all your chit..hokay

Tradesmen make really good money here in the northeast. Police salaries are good as well, in parts of New York and New Jersey they start at 80-90K per year. But there is so much competition and the standards are so ridiculous that basically no one can get in, unless you know someone of course.

Can't wait till all the college brahs get out of college and realize their years of hard work is going to earn them 30k. Try living an adult life on that chit.

That's why everyone is scrambling to get into the tech field right now with bootcamps, online education etc. College, besides the social life, is a scam.

Odd though how in my area cops salary starts around 40-50k
Those cops probably aren't working significant overtime, doing holidays/nights, or getting advanced positions (motorcycle, k9, swat, etc) those all provide additional % of pay increases.

Damn dude, I make more than that working in retail loss prevention, and I get a couple hundred extra in mileage each week. No qualifications except working that job at a couple other places part time when I was in college. My whole job consists of walking around a bunch of stores for a few hours a day or sitting at a desk watching cameras.

You couldn’t make me be a paramedic or cop for that kind of money. God bless you for it, I know the world needs people who do that.

-govt subsidised student loans should only be given out to students getting trained/educated on something in demand and marketable. since student loans dont discriminate, it allowed colleges to increase tuition, mandate useless courses, and give out useless degrees. they created an under-prepared workforce burdened with debt.
this guy gets it.

My generation is an embarrassment. Marching in the streets wearing pink pussy hats. Wondering why their women's study degree and communication degree isn't landing them a job (probably because you had no job experience, or only worked flipping burgers). Quit blaming society for your problems and figure out how to take your left to the next level. there are plenty of people doing it.

Going through college heard a few things, "Look around you, this, this is your competition in life". I took that to heart. Those people out protesting in the streets, screaming about **** and marching around in balaclavas and masks could be spending that same time working or trying to create something, find a niche market to exploit... something. Instead they are wasting their times socially jerking off.
