I think he mainly resides in Thailand, but also travels to a few other spots, including Colombia. (Briefly looked at some of his past threads)

I am compassionate, but I have my own financial worries. At the end of the day, he was taking a risk and now has to deal with the consequences. The misc owes him nothing, although it would be cool to see him receive some aid. (Assuming all is legit)

A lot of westerners have done runners after staying in hospitals in non-western countries.
I know of one specific country where they refuse to operate/let you see a doctor unless you provide certain documents or show bank statements. I don't know the guy either, just sharing what I gathered from the other thread in here.

I did look through GoFundMe YouTube and instagram and there's no spoon pics or live recordings of the wound.
