Yeah, 20 pounds maybe, and thats a stretch. Losing an overweight grown woman out of your own weight kind of will make you look smaller lol.

Keep it up rat brah. I never knew you were a twink until you posted height and weight. Might have to cut to 1200cal and hit weights hard followed by 12 minutes max of cardio. In my own personal opinion I think that's the point where you start losing mass, albeit only to some small degree

If this is about visible abs, what direct ab exercises are you doing? At what frequency?

I agree with this, he can comfortably drop to 1200cals if he's eating 200g of protons. Why eat that much protein if you have no muscle to preserve?

Why do LISS cardio rather than follow a proper lifting program with progressive overload?

The dude could be making noob gains while cutting flab.

the time limit only matters for this thread and the 600 dollar bet with my buddy. i'm not giving up on new years; i'm going to get rekt probably and then go back on the suicide cut until 12%. after that, i'm gonna lean bulk back to being a member of the male gender (no tremec t56)

I measured my ribs this morning, or just under it like our hero the OP. Weird. It's larger than my waist. That normal? Speaking of ribs, OP, where is our December 1 update pictures bro?

Dude shut up. He's trying to right the ship. So he measured incorrectly (his ribs I kno, you've said it like 10 times).

If you weren't so concerned with saying the same thing over and over and read the thread youd see he posted the Dec 1st pic in his imgur gallery. Try to keep up.

28,972 negative posts. Must be an all-time record. Remember when your sig said that you neg 5 people a day, every day? I do. How about you post a recent pic so we can all see your credentials? I would hate to take advice from someone who also looks like chit.

Sorry, I guess being called a fuking idiot, like as of yesterday, for suggesting one measure their waist correctly lit a fire underneath me. We'll let it drop, for the time being.

imgur? Wah? Why? The others got posted here. I'll go check it out but this change in venue strikes me as a poor sign on the progress being made. Loud and proud, as the old saying goes.

28.973, let's be accurate here.

You know, I was thinking about updating a picture when I was looking over Sugarguy, noting his hadn't been updated in years and it dawned on me I had not either. I'll do that, in fact give me a month, maybe 6 weeks, and I'll do an ab shot. I've never really dieted down low BF% in the past but I've been dropping weight for about 4 weeks now. Maybe we can update our pics together, Jan 1? I'm much lighter now, anyway, down to about 180 from 195-200, getting old, but still lifting.

Edit: Just looked at the imgur album. First, anytime anyone puts up pictures of progress like this, it's a brave act. In the OP's case, very brave. At the risk of adding another critical post, his cut looks to be going about as well as one I tried about 5 years ago. Dropped from 190 to 170 in a couple months, doing a lot of cardio, eating frequent small meals, the bro macros of 40/30/30, lifting 3/week, hitting 1,500 calories a day and slowly less and less over time -- and by the end I looked like a chit. Lighter, skinnier chit. Lost of ton of strength as well, despite doing a solid 5x5 program.

That kind of cutting works for some, but I don't think it works well for everyone. Someone with less lean mass, who might have had bad dietary decisions, maybe some metabolic syndrome/high glucose/insulin, at least for me it wasn't that helpful. Doesn't seem to be hitting right for Ratbro either, if I'm being honest.

And, while I can be critical, I do also offer friendly advice, so it's not just a bag of chit with no prize at the bottom, and the prize here is: Do yourself a favor, increase calories and focus on lifting for the time being. In the long run, a little quality lean mass will help you look better, it will help you lose weight and when you do cut down it will ensure you look decent and not anorexic. What concerns me about your cut is that your general shape isn't changing -- that your midsection/love-handle region isn't shrinking all that much, despite a noticeable smaller neck/arms and such.

Sometimes - you have to be flexible and change your gameplan, brother.

January 1st it is.

You choose: If I end up leaner than you or if I don't reach visible abs, you light your hair on fire. It's impossible, right? With my level of incompetence, I'll probably end up twice as fat as I am now, correct? You have a 0% chance of me doing this correctly, so absolutely no risk on your end. Most people in this thread would agree. I'll supply all of the pics in their raw form to a mod to examine the Exif data to make sure that everything I posted (and will post) occurred on the exact dates I said it did.

This happened to me last year when I finally had an extended cut where I wasn't out drinking every weekend. I looked shrimpy at the end of it and was constantly underestimating how much weight I'd have to lose to get rid of various pockets of fat. I lost it like you are too, starting around arms and shoulders which contributes to looking even smaller since it made my tits and hips seem larger in comparison. Also each pocket of fat would swell for two weeks until one morning I'd wake up and suddenly it was gone.

I've got a pet theory now that one way people **** up their posture is because they "bulk" and end up standing weird to diminish the chubby look (based on how I would stand I'd look pretty big but if I stood with everything properly aligned I looked chubby AF). Then after a cut we're left with ****ty posture and far less muscle than expected. At least that was my experience.

Good luck ratbrah

What exactly do I get out of putting my hair on the line? I'd have to shave it off and burn it in a pot or something, or are you literally suggesting to light it on fire while on my head? One LinuxJohn is enough, any risk of that is too much, even if it's small. I wouldn't take that bet on anything because I wouldn't go through with it.

Not really into shaving myself bald much either, I've been trying to grow my hair out for a month, just got past the Meh wild stage, would hate to go back 1/2 a year there but in this case, if there was some reward the small risk there is acceptable.

The problem here is, I have zero against the OP and wish him nothing but good things, not sure what he could put up in return that I'd be comfortable with. I have no interest in any bad-will going his way. I'll happily share pics, though.

There is debate here, as I've stated my opinion and been blasted over it, but I always was under the assumption you measured your arms cold and unflexed. Pumped and flexing just adds too many variables which even for the same individual can drastically change in the same day.

i take all pictures and measure everything cold. just lol @ pumps. that's also why i measure waist (OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT) after inhaling, so the measurement has precision day to day. arms should be measured cold at bicep peak flexed imo

it's simple brah, just eat two chicken breasts a day with a side of veggies. Drink only water. Keep doing that until shredded or suicidal.

Also for measuring torso, good way to do it is pause breathing halfway inbetween normal inhale/exhale max points and flex your abs, gives a good consistent base to measure.

i have the discipline to eat like that for however long, but i don't want my health to deteriorate. if i don't get the linoleate from grape seed oil, my skin dries out really bad and it looks like my face is melting off. i don't want to drop protein or the 80g of carbs for fear of losing the trace amounts of muscle i have.

I post too much in this thread, I know, I know, but there is this rumor circulating about that I'm a negative guy and I'd like to quash them right here, right now.

Here are some GOAT cutting threads, which can help motivate anyone:

8 month progress - 25% -> 9%

It's cutting season. Facial Transformations: High BF to Low BF DRASTIC CHANGES (PICS)
https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=170908671

With Slippin, the first link, it's a great transformation and he shows himself month-to-month, which is really much more rare than it should be and very helpful for anyone cutting to kind of see the phases. I will say, even though he started out large (25% bodyfat) he did a lot of things right with his cut:

- He had a big frame, too much bodyfat, but a solid foundation of strength and muscle.
- He was realistic on his starting point. He didn't fudge things and underestimate how much fat he had (if anything, 25% was a little harsh)
- He took his time, 8 months in his case. Losing weight is a marathon, not a sprint. If you try too much, too fast - you will burn out and fail.

An old, but classic, thread. I believe he goes through his diet and training routine there as well.

(fyi, OP, he went about it with over 2000kcal, high fat, low carb, with carb-up weekends, iirc)
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Carbs wont make a difference to muscle retention.

Just stop fannying about and do things properly.

Everyone in this thread is giving you good advice and youre still doing the same old chit that you think works, but clearly doesnt.

We all want you to succeed. We're not giving you bad advice on purpose.
