Beginning of this week they said no bonus.

Today I got a $5000 bonus.

I'm shocked.

Pretty much this. Investment bankers and outperforming hedge fund managers can get that easy. I'm in a finance-y field and got ~60% bonus last year at a pretty junior level so 100% isn't out of this world. As this guy says, it's more of a deferred pay lump sum to make you feel good than a true bonus lol. I have a minimum bonus if I meet pretty low threshold hourly targets stipulated in my contract for example...

I’ll get a few grand bonus for KPIs, no profit share though this year.

Raise is about 15%.

Last year it was an 8% raise. This year will probably be more like 4-5%.

Wtf do you guys do to get these job with bonuses like this? Srs.

I have a grad degree in healthcare admin and Im working at a compnay with 5 people. Im right under the owner in terms of ranking and I only make 40k a year lol. Then again, my job market is atrocious. Such is life, but it really taught me discipline and made me innovative to do whatever it take to make it on my own.

meager 2.2% raise incoming but we did hella business so I'll get 7.2% of my salary as a bonus at the end of march

I most likely won't know my bonus until next Monday since the company always does them on the last day of the year and generally doesn't send out emails until after it's deposited. Last year I got a $6.5k bonus, but hoping for more this year.

For a raise I'm hoping for a $10k/year raise. I've been getting $7.5k raises the last few years, but I passed my PE exam this year and have found my own niche in the company so it would be a pain for them if I left.

Never written myself a bonus nor have I given my employees a bonus over two hundred. My employees are compensated very well throughout the year, but I still hear the gripes about no Christmas bonuses

As an employee, would you rather make more throughout the year or get a larger Christmas bonus?
