Why in the fuk would anyone want kids?

brb financial drain
brb always getting sick, making you sick
brb constantly screaming and running around
brb can't go anywhere without planning in advance
brb no vacations without taking the kids
brb living on a toddler's schedule
brb living like a toddler, as an adult
brb tearing up your house and breaking ****
brb when you want to get away you gotta pay some high schooler $15/hour
brb getting no sleep
brb always have to watch them
brb biggest attention whores
brb your life is gone

Mind blown that people voluntarily have kids.

Instinct to procreate is strong with some.

Agree i think most people are mad and in a hurry because of their kids. I refuse to have them.

Someone had you.

Personally the biggest reason i will have kids is so my family legacy carries on, and someone can take care of me when i am old like my great grand parents, grand parents, parents, and me do for their parents.

I guess if your selfish and think dying alone is alpha then no kids is a good idea.

Kids will drain you emotionally and financially, Kids under 11 don’t count, after 11 is when the pressure starts to set in, they are the main reason for most divorces imo, I know this for a fact because my step kids are proving it every day, not the divorce part as I am not married.

Having a kid is like trying a new drug. Amazing high at first until it all falls on your head. That's why a lot of girls are in a hurry to have kids to get that 'high' but they don't really know what they're getting themselves into

people can live their lives however they want

i just don't like kids, never enjoyed being around them (even when I was a kid) and believe that if it wasn't for the instinct to procreate we'd have 1/3 of the people we do now.

There's almost no logical reason to have a kid. It's an emotional decision because your life is missing something, and as apparent in this thread, to stroke your ego.

EDIT: I also think there is some jealousy for people. They see their friends have kids, and it's an evolutionary achievement to pass your genes on, so people want to have kids for themselves. Can you imagine being a couple in your mid-30s when all your friends have kids and you don't? You've lost the evolutionary game.
