so in short, no. such a girl wouldn't be my wife
cooking/homemaking/caring for their man (one of which ways is making sure he isn't hungry) is a very feminine, attractive trait
I love to cook but having my girl do it for me just satisfies me on such a deep level
all my girlfriend's so far have been like this.

on the other hand, a random bj with nothing expected in return, and a random breakfast in bed with nothing expected in return is perfectly ok. it's that spontaneity which makes a relationship work and keeps it fresh.

I’m not sure what is worse...
A wife who doesn’t cook, or a wife who loves to cook but is really bad at it.

Used to cook actually back when I was in college and in my twenties. Just don’t enjoy it at all.
Like said above my life goal is happiness and enjoyment, so I avoid things that I don’t enjoy unless there is a necessity or clear benefit.
For example I don’t enjoy going to the dentist either but I do it of course because there is a clear benefit. With cooking I just don’t have that and it doesn’t pass a cost/benefits analysis for me.
Now as to people who enjoy cooking then yeah of course it is good for them to do. It’s almost like a hobby then if you get joy out of it. So that’s different and I understand that.

hate to say it bud but most women these days cant cook for chit...most will just offer to order takeout or prepare some quick n easy microwave meal. In most cultures women take pride in cookin for their man but in the US its seen as a chore

For example, my sister also has a cleaning lady. She has 3 kids which she manages 80% of the time. She also works as a nurse and contributes to the household expenses. She also cooks everyday from scratch and is supportive of her husband. She maintains herself physically and isn't a burden on her husband as in expecting him to take care of her material needs.
Why would a dude want to be with you?

my mom cooked for me only once a day when I was younger and stopped completely when I was a teenager, didn't even bother to fill the fridge with food.
I could take a 3/10 bich as long as she makes bomb ass breakfast, lunch and dinner. srs. ain't no 'mama's cooking' to compare it to. that ugly sloot can make straight garbage. I will still enjoy it.

Nah. Cooking isn't a requirement for me. Sex and being loving is more important. I'll let my own fatass cook if it means being in a good relationship

I would honestly never rely solely on my woman to do that sort of stuff around the house. I enjoy cooking and I enjoy being good at it. I even enjoy cleaning sometimes
But she has to contribute value in some way. If I'm cooking, she's prepping veggies or washing dishes. Maybe I do everything one night and she does everything the next night. Maybe I cook dinner on Friday night and she makes breakfast Saturday morning
I'd expect her to also work full time, so we're equal across the board. This is all a team effort, neither of us is doing 100% of the work 100% of the time

I can't understand how someone can go through life with any amount of self-satisfaction if you have no sense of self-sufficiency. Just because you have money to pay for someone to come scrub your toilets doesn't mean you should. That money could be better spent on more important things. Even if your kid's tuition is all paid for, house is paid for, etc. there are a dozen other places that money could be better spent. I only go out to eat maybe twice a month, despite esily being able to afford to eat out every day if I like. Why don't I? Because there is a sense of fulfillment that comes from cooking your own food, cleaning your own **** and being self-sufficient. If anyone honestly doesn't feel this way or has a sense of satisfaction when they go on a vacation they really haven't earned, then you have a lot of growing up to do. I couldn't give two ****s if you can afford it, you're still a petulant child and I'm sure you would have a mental breakdown if your phone died.

Whereas me I’m just by myself, so I would have to go grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning up afterwards, all just to make only one meal for myself. Not worth it to me UNLESS someone actually enjoys that work or enjoys home cooked food more than going out.
Also don’t think it’s that much cheaper btw if you cook a one person meal only, unless you cook in bulk and freeze stuff to reuse etc. But again if you’re cooking for a whole family that’s different, because it’s definitely cheaper than taking the whole family out.
And back when I was married it was no issue at all because we both loved going out. It was like date night every night and very fun.
Only issue I see is if I were to meet a very traditional guy who really wants a homemaker type woman to cook and clean for him. Then we would have to figure out some compromise that we are both ok with. And yes I would be open to compromise for a relationship if needed and if I really liked the guy and it was important to him.

I don't really see how you could compromise for the right relationship when you've already said that you can't cook. Unless you start getting some practice in now.
Its not even really about being in a relationship when you're at that point though, it's about being a functional adult.

If so, how could you even think about GFing/marrying a woman who can't cook?
What will they be feeding the kids when you aren't around, or you if (god forbid) you get really sick or have to go to hospital? Take out everyday?
My grandfather and grandmother have been in a traditional relationship, my grandmother did/does most of the cooking, but he knows how to cook and even used to get me to cook the rice when I was a kid.

As to household duties, those can either be divided or preferably outsourced as much as possible. I prefer to outsource because to me free time and fun and relaxation are much more important.
So for example on a free Saturday I’d much rather have a cleaning lady clean the house while we go out and do something fun and eat out at a restaurant. Just different preference from people who prefer to do housekeeping and cooking themselves.
So if I were to meet someone who prefers a homemaker type woman then we would have to figure out some compromise that we are both ok with, or maybe just would not be compatible or happy with each other.
