They can only put so much modifications on one car, so they buy other cars (from the money they have made) and modify/or talk about it on the daily, and the cycle continues.
They also have have their own merchandise aka their own name branded label, that is overpriced and cheaply made af. People buy TJ Kunt's clothing label with his name plastered on it, lmfaoooo.
All of them have relatively hot girlfriends too, and everyone knows that hot girls who wear revealing clothing are somehow synonymous with cars = more views.

Devin is cool though, definitely the coolest out of the three; he actually works on his cars himself instead of sending his cars to shops for people to modify them aka Dustin and TJ. Dustin is alright, he actually lifts and does not have the arrogance and annoying vibe that TJ Kunt has. They also don't milk out videos as much as TJ does. God, I hate TJ.

Its a great investment.

My mate has a Honda s2000 and put over 100 grand under the hood and raced a guy for slips at an event and won a vw Jetta which was tricked out. The guy did a runner but my friend is looking to track him down now to get his car

Yeah I don't get how Dustin affords his own place in like san diego or wherever the fuk, a evo, brz, and an r32. He only has 500k subs and doesnt even break 100k views in most of his videos.

i started watching once he got the type r. but instead he sold it and got two other popular modding cars like a brz. I was moist thinking about where he could take the type r performance wise.
Look, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

Agree with the OP though. Had a heads/cam/intake cobra with a 306 that I built and it was a never ending thing. always something to fix/upgrade whatever.

installed lowering springs? brb, need caster camber plates.

upgraded exhaust? brb, need headers and mid pipe to complete the system

and on and on and on.

If it was a toy I would have a different opinion, but I was 20 and it was my only car so it sucked when sht broke or took longer to upgrade.

Dude you can get buy with way less subs than half a a million. You could easily make decent with 100k subs if your viewership is strong.

A lot of youtube guys are cashing in 5-10k min a month that's why they can dump so much. Advertisement is big money it's essentially like these guys are on TV now because they are getting paid TV salaries.

A lot of people think the opposite.

I'm not saying it's accurate or nice, but when I see someone driving one of those cars, I stereotype them as being broke and spending all of the money they make working at McDonalds on their car. I picture them walking into the gas station and giving the clerk a ten dollar bill, six for their cigarettes (or maybe a lottery ticket) and then use the remaining change for gasoline.

you're an idiot. are you anti-hobby or something? if we didn't modify our cars, they wouldn't be where they are today because if people were all like you, we wouldn't have performance. There would be hardly any aftermarket and there would be that much less to do in this world. you do whatever you want, but don't create threads on here dictating what other car enthusiasts/gearheads/motorheads should think. According to you, you think all cars should be the same. no different. what the would be the point of racing then? I can't express how ticked off I am at how close minded your post is.
you know what, go fuk yourself.

A lot of hobbies sound fkn stupid to people who aren't into them. BTW I'd rather do the vacuuming than mod a car but not gonna chit on a perfectly reasonably hobby. Have fun car bros.

its a hobby breh

2015 nissan xterra pro 4x heavily modded for overlanding and camping. everything done on it serves a purpose and it just looks sweet. i like having a unique vehicle that people look at and know its more then just to get from A to B. i dont understand people who spend 30-50k, paying month to month hundred of dollars on a vehicle just for it to be exactly the same as every other vehicle. ill have this bad boy til it dies, could care less about 'de valuing' my car. my xterra is more capable, safer, better looking, and cooler then a stock xterra. i can basically live out of it when i'm doing my summer camping trips, and i can take it anywhere in any weather more or less.

Believe me I've been tempted to go full bolt ons on my cars, but had second thoughts once I realized that i probably wouldn't keep the car forever and it is a massive waste of money. The ONLY thing I'll do performance wise is a tune.

if you fell in love with the car for what itcouldbe, why the fuk did you buy it? If im not happy with the performance of the car STOCK then its not worth the purchase. Just buy a faster car.
1. Not looking to sell. Buying a car just looking to sell later, unless its a classic and an actual investment, is dumb.
2. Strong generalization. Some mods aren't just for going faster.

I tend to buy small block turbo'd engines a lot. A simple stage 1 is hardly pushing anything and can improve your fuel mileage and driving experience.

I also buy used daily drivers so don't need warranty. Cheap vehicle for commute only.

only number 5 is valid the rest are pure crap. If you know what you're doing you get better reliability and better gas mileage. Of a dumb**** doesn't know anything then it may meet some of your points but otherwise your argument is invalid

This. Let's take skiing for example. $1,000+ for equipment. $150/day for lift passes. All to just slide down a mountain in the freezing cold, possibly injure yourself or end up in a hospital. Good times.

People like what they like and have fun doing it. Never going to chit on someone for what they enjoy. My hobby just happens to be cars and racing.

In a way i kinda get what OP is saying.

But i think it all starts with what car you use for a starting platform. Even today with all the good cars that you can get from off the showroom floor that looks good already, has good power, good trans, with warranty but yet i still see kids getting older chit that has like 120hp, then they wanna "make it a project".

If that project doesn't start with an "engine swap", you're going nowhere with that car. And if your plan is to make a show car, then LOL @ that too. Not even sure who does that anymore.

As for me, there's a reason why you start with a good platform. Something that's already fast, looks good, has a warranty, and will stay reliable and fun until you decide you wanna trade/sell the car and get into a new toy.

your spectrum of cars is very narrow, that's where you went wrong.
ultra hp, weak chitbox, and stupid showcars are not everything this country has to offer
