The rumor I was hearing is this final movie will be broken up into 2 films to fix the mess Rian Johnson shat out 2 years ago.

Yet in two of them the hero is acting alone. And Captain America only has ScarJo and Falcon (lol) backing him up.

They're bringing Gyllenhaal in to make this absolute turd of a movie franchise to be less of a turd. I mean when you take a great superhero story and turn it into a weak af, teeny, scared of everything character you kind of defeat the purpose of a hero movie. Hence why in the first movie it was more an Iron Man movie than it was a Spiderman movie. They needed Downy Jr to bring the heroic aspect that the story obviously lacked.

They brought RDjr to let fans know that even though this is Sony, its handled by and part of the MCU. And of course self doubt is one of what makes Spidey the way he is. Even decades in the comics. Thats why many finds him the most relatable.

You actually couldn't be more wrong. Spider-man started out as an insecure teen hero and was portrayed that way for decades. I grew up in the 70's reading Spider-Man comics. I got all 3 titles at the time. The Amazing Spider Man, Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider Man and Spidey Super Stories.

He was also always physically hurt, emotionally compromised or both. He was also the most famous hero in the world and the most popular. Batman and DC were an utter joke at that time.

Marvel got this aspect of spider-man 100% correct.

Honestly that trailer made the whole premise seem stupid. He goes to Europe on a "class trip" and suddenly runs into Nick Fury and an epic super villain and has to save the day? I'll give it a pass. Filler movie that will still make Marvel 500 million dollars.
