I’m sure it does. I have a strong feeling outside of a few key players (like Dr Strange if his time Stone was the play all along, and newcomer Captain Marvel), however the timeline gets reversed/altered, not even most of The Avengers will have any memory of the events of Infinity War.

As someone who's last Marvel movie was Avengers 2/Winter Soldier, can anyone explain how in the fuk is Spider Man, Fury and other characters alive after big purple alien man disintegrated them?

These movies had a semblance of realism/belief in them to a point. Thor was the most radical at the time but I was willing to accept it due to the fact that advanced tech can look like magic/sorcery, at least from a fictional view point. The MCU seems to now be filled with so much bullchit and fukkery that they have to make up retconns left and right.

The Raimi movies actually ruined Spider-Man for an entire generation. These people are not aware Peter Parker started out as a teenage miscer.

Really hope they do Mysterio justice. Spider-Man probably has the best villains after Batman.

So it takes place after Avengers 4?? Why did Marvel choose to release this movie this early? Although I didn't see the Avengers 4 trailer, it's obvious Thanos fails since it looks like everyone's alive and well in the Spiderman trailer. Thanks for spoiling everything, Marvel.

Let me introduce to to the comic book world:
-Characters die and come back all the time
-Entire timelines get rewritten/altered every decade or so
- Alternate universes = unlimited possibility

Retcons exist in MCU because they exist in both Marvel and DC comics. Do you even silver age Superman? Superboy Prime literally breaking reality with his fists? Spiderman retconning his life in a literal deal with the devil?

Chit, the movies are tame compared to the source material.

Not ever reading the source material but looking it up online from wikis I have to agree on the absurdity when even compared to the movies. I guess its more of a personal preference but I much prefer when things are more grounded in reality and the technologically possible.

Did you really think spiderman who was just recently introduced less than 2 years ago and black panther whose franchise is a box office smash were truly dead forever after Infinity War?

We all knew they weren't dead. I just think its premature to come out with this trailer when spiderman is "suppose" to be dead.

The real mystery is who will be dead forever. Its assumed that everyone "pre-snap" is actually dead (Heimdall/Loki/Gamora) but if time travel shenanigans is involved everyone will probably come back. However looking from a studio perspective, Chris Evan's and Robert Downey Jr. could die since their contracts have ended with Disney and they have not renewed them.
