Part of me thinks you knew this would happen, but I like the cut of your jib. You got spunk kid.
When I watched it, i thought it was kind of nice and made some good points.. but then I remembered that it was a commercial for a razor. That’s what rustled me a bit. I have a problem with companies that would alienate their customers. I didn’t like Nike when they did that **** with kaepernick, I don’t like celebs that alienate their fans and as a consumer I want to believe that companies just want my money.. So to wrap this up- I don’t want to look at products in the store and have them have personalities or views on things, I want to have a need and then buy the product that best fulfills it.
I don’t like generalizations neither and the commercial seemed to paint a picture of how men are..that wasn’t right

I’m gonna wait for Tampax to make a commercial about how psycho women get on their period and how we can be better. No more bitching at your husbands/boyfriends cause it’s your time of month... I bet women would flip ****.

Ded srs, question.
Your name gives you good clue as to why you don’t see anything wrong with the ad.

But here to help you, ask yourself these questions:
- why is there no ad asking women not to be gold digging whores?
- Why did the black guy stop the white guy from cat calling and not the other way around?
- At what BBQ did you ever see kids beating the living sheit out of one another and fathers just stand there and don’t break it up?
Etc.

(Hint: there is an anti white anti male agenda)

(Another hint: do you know a movie “white men can’t jump”? Why isn’t there a movie “Black men can’t think”?

3rd hint: Speaking of jumping: did you know that the triple jump world record is held by a white guy AND a white woman too? Bet you didn’t know that, and if asked you’d automatically assume it was held by two black athletes. Why is that? Can it be that you’re being brain washed by anti white trash like this disgusting Gillette ad and other racist sexist media crap?

The fact that it's blatant virtue signaling is doing it. You can have a positive commercial that empowers men to be better people and even has sjw themes (see: Axe - "Find your magic") but the whole point of this one is to bring people down and lazily tell them to "do better" as an alternative. Plus it highlights sexism and begs for equality, yet Gillette charges more for a lot of their female products.

Toxic masculinity is bull**** anyway, most westerners have never even seen masculinity in any form. Violent gopniks in Russia are actually what you would call "toxicly masculine", and do you really think one of them is going to see this ad and think "Thanks Gillette! I'll be sure to do better now XD"?

The ad clearly comes from a place of pandering to far left SJWism, it features Ana Kasparian for Christs sake. Also there's an obvious pattern where the black guys are the ones sticking up for women against the white guys, a pattern which is the opposite of that which we all observe in reality.

Oh, I get most people's complaints. I didn't care for the commercial much either. I'm just sayin beta has some valid points that get instantly shot down in a blind fury. Nobody wants to really talk about things. People would rather rage over things.

I like the beginning of the ad where they say "is this the best a man can get?"

That really sets the tone of the ad

We see this kind of chitall the timeand although it attacks all men, it attacks some more than others so understandably some will be more angry about it. Talking about it on the misc doesn't accomplish anything, raging about it might at least make you feel better.

Lol
In the scene where the white kids were roughhousing (and in the sense of the commercial being "bad") all the black kids were sitting at a table behaving themselves. This was done intentionally, and followed a pattern throughout the video. This video simply didnt reflect reality and was pure propaganda. Of course if you look into the marketing firm behind it...well you wont be surprised.

Also, OP is a black man that openly fantasizes on here about white trannys. So it should not be a shock to see him applaud a commercial like this. It's kind of gross but that is our society now unfortunately.

Although I was on the outrage wagon, because lets face it, sjws are trying to take over. Op is actually correct. It wasnt a total attack on white men.

But it was a stupid commercial for a shaving company. Will not buy their products anymore. Im too frugal to throw out what ive already bought, so it will take me a while to exhaust my stock. But ill be switching to something else eventually.

Do you think the Black father looking at the white kids fighting and saying 'boys will be boys', was intentional too?

Along with the father who jumps in to stop them being white?

What message do you think they were trying to say, with the BBQ scene?

Black people will stand and watch white people fighting and not care, only whites will look out for whites?

Based on this thread, it seems that you guys only see what you want to see.

Standard response I get from women when I bring up toxic female behaviour "Men do it too"....

The majority of perpetrators of violence (assault, homicide, rape, etc) are men. Violence is a largely a male problem.
Sexual harassment? Like when that guy wanted to approach that woman on the street?
No, I was referring to the dozen or so news clips where they bring up the Hollywood allegations.
And fuk out of here mentioning rapists like Cosby and Weinstein. You honestly think us men share some responsibility in that?
Nope.

However, there are dudes who don't object when another man admits to doing ****ed up things to women.

On the misc (I'm off to work, soon, I will try to find and post the link when I get back) of a dude literally admitting to sexually assaulting someone

In a thread that was about trying to make girls squirt, a miscer relayed a story....

"I was trying to make a girl squirt, and she said that she didn't like it, asked me to stop, then she asked if we could do something else. LOL, now she doesn't talk to me, and I don't know why."

I was literally the only miscer that called him out for it. That's the kind of thing where Terry Crews was saying 'men need to hold other men accountable'.

When a dude says something phucked up, call them out it.
Taking rough housing too far? It looked to me like the man stepped in when the kids were fighting. You said so yourself, didn't you?
I said it could be fighting or rough housing to far.
You honestly don't know why the fuk you made this thread, did you? You are clearly just being a contrarian and trying to draw attention to yourself.
I give my opinion, regardless if I think the majority of the misc is going to approve of it or not.

I'd would advise anyone to do the same.

its just because its feeding into the whole all males are bad idea.. especially white males as they mainly made them look bad in the commercial.

its brainwashing and just another small step towards trying to control people. Like a few years ago trannies were mentally ill freaks but now theyre trying to make us say its normal.

also because its a fukn razor company.

Didnt really have a problem with it other than the boys fighting and the guy going after the girl

Like boys having test and wanting to fight doesnt seem like a bad thing. In fact, telling boys to act a certain way despite their body telling them and or producing chemicals could also seem harmful

And the guy walking after the girl thing makes me wonder how they think relationships happen. Raping her is definitely not good, but hitting on her? Nah

And the guy walking after the girl thing makes me wonder how they think relationships happen. Raping her is definitely not good, but hitting on her? Nah
in 2019 approaching a woman = rape

Ad agency owner and creative director checking in (srs).

When we are doing a campaign for a brand we'll often go to the tagline (or create one that we can leverage off) for inspiration.

They are just leveraging off 'The Best a Man Can Get' in light of the current social climate and asking 'Are we actually at our Best as Men right now'? and can we do/be better. Doesn't matter that it's razors, could be vacuum cleaners. Their tagline, or 'proposition', is what is imperative here.

In an advertising 'creative' sense, it's a smart path to take - topical and thought-provoking.

In Australia we have heaps of ad examples of bad behaviour from males - in the sense that 'someone (your child) is watching what you do', so lift your game.
Nobody over here bats an eyelid at the ads, and they certainly don't provoke the kind of vitriol that the Gillette ad has.

I would hazard a guess and say that Gillette has underestimated the backlash (trust me, Gillette would of been very nervous putting this out - but would have been persuaded by their ad agency). Some heads could roll for this if sales drop.

Personally I don't feel 'blamed' as a man for anything in the ad. I have two boys that I often tell to stop fighting, and I have some sleazy mates that oggle women to the point of embarrassment. There's nothing wrong with trying to be better as a man, for whatever reason. And yes there's false rape claims and women clean up in divorce etc. But really, let's be honest, men can be pretty wretched world-wide (even here on the Misc). What's wrong with setting a better example if you need to - if you don't need to, and are perfect, then there's no problem.

But I can understand the grievances with the ad if you are passionate about mens rights etc. Again, I didn't feel blamed by it, but if you do, then you are completely entitled to that opinion.

But it'll be forgotten in a week and we'll be on to the next thing.
Getting too old for this...

I read all your responses, and you did not answer the above questions.

Link here a Gillette or some other big company ad asking women not to be gold digging whores.

Link a Hollywood movie “black men can’t swim or think”

Link here to an ad where white guy stops black guy from bad behavior.

Why are there no such ads or movies?

There is an anti male anti white agenda. Stop playing dumb. You know this.

This ad is not only anti male, it’s anti white. Speaking of anti white stuff: where did the idea come from that blacks are better at sports?

World’s strongest man? Tennis? Baseball? Even boxing has been dominated by two Russian guys for many years recently. Swimming? Arm wrestling? Olympic Judo, wrestling? Hockey? Skating? Soccer? All dominated by whites.

Can it be that there is an anti white racism going on?
