On the topic of Krav Maga etc. VS MMA on the street without rules:

MMA fighters are perfectly capable of fighting without rules, and do this all the time behind referee’s back. The reason MMA fighters don’t usually use eye pokes etc. is because they know the rules. It’s naive and shows lack of experience to think that Fedor at his prime would not kick you a bit higher then your thigh and get you in your balls. Think before you post. MMA fighters UNLIKE ANY OTHER PRACTITIONER have actual full contact experience that involves striking and grappling.

There are videos where people try to elbow Royce Gracie with strikes that are illegal in MMA, it doesn’t make ANY difference, he knows that these strikes are allowed, so he adjusts his position.

Let me explain it in another way: Naive person (look in the mirror) may think oh wow look Crorop got kicked in the balls and got hurt, so a Krav Maga guy would beat crorop!!

Wrong.

For starters Krav Maga guy would be knocked out or dead before he even thinks of the ball kick, since he is dealing with a REAL fighter who trains special forces in his free time, a real fighter who has full contact experience. Secondly Crocop himself would simply direct his kicks to the balls area, AND defend his balls himself since he knows this isn’t K1 or MMA and ball kicks are allowed. You get it now?

You remind me of people who say Hillary won popular vote.... You’re an idiot. If election was based on popular vote BOTH candidates would campaign differently.

boxing because it's the only combat sport i used to like. but judo would be more practical if i were training for a street fight. in a street fight once ur on the ground that's it there ain't no mat to protect u it's hard solid ground or grass if ur lucky
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

^^^ Great points, much like high level wrestlers have an ability to dictate the position of the fight.

I think we can all agree on at least one thing. The best style of fighting involves the best offensive and defensive moves of every martial art, without any restrictions of any move in the offensive or defensive position.

A seasoned MMA fighter who can fight fluently with no mma rules, able to use any and all illegal moves at will, will dominate anyone in a street fight, no?

I've been to Brazil, and remember seeing locals casually practice it at 2am in the morning after the clubs let out. It's their culture. From what I understand, it was an art that was first developed disclosed as a dance, but as a secret fighting style, and as the dance progressed, the ability to do those fighting moves progressed.

Boxing. Any martial art that involves ground game is excellent if every street fight was one on one but it ain't. Take a look at any street fight where one guy is taking on multiple people, it's always a boxer.

Yes, since professional MMA fighters are the ONLY practitioners who have actual full contact experience that involves both striking and grappling, they are the ONLY fighters you should bet on in a street fight. All other fighters are incomplete. All other fighters either don’t kick or don’t punch or don’t wrestle or don’t know submissions or don’t have full contact experience etc. Missing ANY of these aspects of fighting exposes a fighter to an obvious attack. This has been proven again and again in no rules Gracie challenge matches and many early no rules MMA fights where people regularly bit, kicked in the groin, and eye poked each other and so on. Did Igor chin someone in the eye? I mean they were doing hilarious stuff, head butts, repeated groin punches etc. The idea that MMA fighters can’t fight without rules is silly. They are actually better at it than anyone else since they have to hide it from the ref!

I want to say that you have it backwards and that it was used for fighting first and then turned to more like a dance.. I’m not 100% on that though... I just like how it looks
Anyone who thinks MMA is the same as streetfighting, is as out of touch.

Here's an example as recent as last week.

Greg Hardy, a new UFC fighter, was in a battle with another UFC fighter recently. He was getting beat. He had his opponent on his knees, and he broke the rules, by kneeing his opponent in the head while his opponent was on his knees, knocking him out, at least to the point of his opponent not being able to continue the fight. Edit. He lost the fight due to an 'illegal' move by the refs, but in a street fight, he would have dominantly won the fight.

This proves my point. The very 'illegal' moves that are in MMA, discredit it as championing the absolute toughest street fighter, as the streets have no rules. This move would not have been illegal, and Greg Hardy would have walked away the champ.

ri_krwcokaoutube]

Again, the best martial art for street fighting is that which has no rules and practices with no rules. Knees to the head when down, anything goes.
Think:

If Krav Maga or whoever else is so good, why not step in the ring and make 20 million dollars?

Ah... now you’re getting somewhere.

Never compare actual prize fighters to BS artists. You’re comparing professionals who know how to take a punch to bullsheit scam artists who sell $20 DVDs about fighting.

Every single martial art you listed in the OP has glaring weaknesses. Only an idiot would pick one of those for a sole system to be the best street fighter.
Lol give it a rest. No one cares about your bull**** Krav Maga. It’s on the same level as karate dojos. A good high school wrestler could go in and whip the chit out of any of instructors and make it look easy. It’s a joke.

Literally just carry a knife, and you pretty much guarantee you will injure your opponent even without any training. Not sure if there are any knife based martial arts, but if they are, I am guessing that is the way to go.

I would choose greco roman wrestling.

Because getting punched in the head isn't good for the brain (although heavy impacts on the body also arguably negatively effects the brain long term, due the neck and head jerking violently).

In regards to self protection, IMO greco is awesome for one on one situations. If a greco dude is able to get pre emptively grab someone, then the fight is probably done.

Unlike judo, greco seems to give more options for subduing someone without really harming them.

I think it's a number art of choice for security work (I wish I knew it when I did security, it would have made my job easier).

If MMA isn’t an option, then Krav Maga also should not be one, since Krav Maga is a version of MMA, it takes various aspects of other arts. By definition that’s MMA.

Now in case any of you think that a Krav Maga practitioner beats MMA practitioner, you’re an idiot. Because if you were right then Krav Maga guy would enter MMA and make tons of money. Oh, you say his eye pokes a too lethal for the ring? Ask Jon Jones or Chuck Liddell how many eye pokes they have done in an MMA fight behind ref’s back. And besides, if Krav Maga guy is so good at an illegal groin strike then surely he can kick just as good legally to the thigh, right? So what’s stopping him from defeating GSP? Ummm maybe the fact that he isn’t a real fighter and GSP is?

Boxing. 100% of fights start on the feet and the ground in the world is hard. Going to the ground is only effective / reasonable in the ring or on mats. Not on pavement or bar floors. Anyone who tells you a high percentage of fights go to the ground hasn't seen many real fights.
