Driving a manual has always given off a manly vibe. Automatic is seen as a creature comfort. Too easy, no skill, though efficient.
I've never driven a manual but I feel like it also gives a sense of freedom, sort of a rebel. Balding middle class dads drive the automatics, whereas manuals are driven by those full of vigor and youth no matter the age.

I've wanted to learn how to drive stick shift but it's becoming obsolete. A lot of the newer sports cars don't even have manual options. The Nissan GT-R doesn't have a manual option, none of the BMW M models have a manual option except for the M4, that's literally the only one in the M line up, etc.

What a ignorant ass comment. The vast majority of cars in North America have automatic transmissions. Odds are you will not have a lot of manual options when buying a car. I don't see what the big deal is. I've only ever owned automatics, because that's what was available. There is no advantage to a manual transmission other than have street cred among ricer hoon boy racer idiots. Not people I want to have anything to do with. Driving stick sounds pretty straight forward to me. I'm sure I can figure it out when evidently people with limited mental capability can do it and brag about it
