Just because Trump's agenda was far more strict on immigration doesn't mean Hillary was for open borders.
At some point all of the hyperbole discredits your argument.

Johnson wasn't for "Open Borders".
He was for "No caps. No categories. No quotas. Just a straightforward background check, the proper paperwork to obtain a real Social Security number and work legally or prove legitimate family ties, and a reliable system to know who is coming and who is going."
Basically, cut the meaningless bullchit at least get the basics right. All the screeching about a wall distracts from the fact that the country still can't even compile a simple list of who is eligible to partake in our system.

Hillary Clinton in 2013 said she dreams of a “common market with open trade and open borders,”saying that economic opportunity in the U.S. would grow as a result.
Her comments to Latin American bankers were revealed late Friday by WikiLeaks, which appears to have obtained excerpts of some of Mrs. Clinton’s paid speeches in the days following her tenure at the State Department. The excerpts were found in Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails, and while Mr. Podesta refused to verify the documents, he also did not deny their authenticity.
In addition to downplaying banks’ role in the 2008 economic collapse, admitting she’s out of touch with the middle class and conceding she has “both a public and a private position” on Wall Street reform, Mrs. Clinton also bluntly said she believes open borders would benefit the entire Western hemisphere.
“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the Hemisphere,” she said in the May 2013 speech to the Brazilian bank Banco Itau.
While Mrs. Clinton has come out against the TransPacific Partnership and has said other trade deals such as NAFTA have hurt the U.S., the speech excerpts show the former first lady saying a “concerted plan” to increase trade will be necessary moving forward.

Open the border; flood of Mexicans would become taxpayers
Q: What is your view of the immigration issue?
A: Hispanics who immigrate care about their families like other Americans care about their families. They're living in poverty in Mexico and can come to the US and do a lot better.
Q: By--according to some--taking away jobs.
A: They work the lowest-paying jobs. And they are taking jobs that other Americans don't necessarily want. They're hardworking people who are taking jobs that others don't want. That's the reality.
Q: Would you open the borders and make it easier to immigrate legally?
A: My vision of the border with Mexico is that a truck from the United States going into Mexico and a truck coming from Mexico into the United States will pass each other at the border going 60 miles an hour.[color=red] Yes, we should have open borders.[color]
Q: Many Americans fear the flood of immigrants that would follow.
A: They would become taxpayers. They're just pursuing dreams---the same dreams we all have. They work hard. What's wrong with that?

An average US citizen committs that much less murder than people coming up out of central america. Why on earth would you WANT that flooding into the country? Not just that but youre not talking about legal immigrants which puts those illegally coming in at an even worse subset of people. The people in central america willing to break our countries law as the first thing they do upon coming here...

Now please find me where the constitution says “we are a nation that will not secure our borders or build a wall” or something of that effect.
You can’t. It doesn’t exist.
I can show you where it says we have a right to bear arms.

This isn't on Trump in the slightest.
It's on highly corrupt Congress and all of us American citizens who've allowed it to get to this.
These problems will plague us and only get worse as long as we allow it to continue. The financial corruption of our representatives in DC isn't gonna fix itself.

As long as we live in a competitive world with competitive countries and competitive ideologies competing against us, which is forever, then we will have to have secure borders if we expect to survive.
Countries without open borders will only survive as long as their competitors allow it.

Even regarding just the fencing aspects of the bill, local governments can block its construction if they don't want it. So it handcuffs the president and is open borders crap. Veto. If it's overturned so be it.

No offence, this isn't directed at you. But in general, many on the Right are dumb when it comes to politics. They want every illegal deported tomorrow, they wanted Obamacare ripped magically by the president...despite McCain changing his vote, they want no taxes in any bill ever, and also for the President to shutdown the government indefinitely unless that's the case. Any deviation means that America is doomed.

Miscers hysterical screeching idea of open borders isn't exactly what Johnson was getting at. Just like your idea of border security isn't exactly what you're getting from Trump.

He told us how easy it would be to fix this, and that was a lie. He said he would do it, and that was a lie. He can veto this bill. If it's overruled by votes, then so be it, but at least he remained loyal to his agenda and took his case to his supporters rather than selling them out to the same Washington establishment you complain about.
