Just because Trump's agenda was far more strict on immigration doesn't mean Hillary was for open borders.

At some point all of the hyperbole discredits your argument.
The same hyperbole that discredits TaeBoNinja discredits your own argument regarding Johnson.

Johnson wasn't for "Open Borders".

He was for "No caps. No categories. No quotas. Just a straightforward background check, the proper paperwork to obtain a real Social Security number and work legally or prove legitimate family ties, and a reliable system to know who is coming and who is going."

Basically, cut the meaningless bullchit at least get the basics right. All the screeching about a wall distracts from the fact that the country still can't even compile a simple list of who is eligible to partake in our system.

Clinton admitted she's for 'open borders' in paid, private speech: WikiLeaks
Hillary Clinton in 2013 said she dreams of a “common market with open trade and open borders,”saying that economic opportunity in the U.S. would grow as a result.

Her comments to Latin American bankers were revealed late Friday by WikiLeaks, which appears to have obtained excerpts of some of Mrs. Clinton’s paid speeches in the days following her tenure at the State Department. The excerpts were found in Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails, and while Mr. Podesta refused to verify the documents, he also did not deny their authenticity.

In addition to downplaying banks’ role in the 2008 economic collapse, admitting she’s out of touch with the middle class and conceding she has “both a public and a private position” on Wall Street reform, Mrs. Clinton also bluntly said she believes open borders would benefit the entire Western hemisphere.

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the Hemisphere,” she said in the May 2013 speech to the Brazilian bank Banco Itau.

While Mrs. Clinton has come out against the TransPacific Partnership and has said other trade deals such as NAFTA have hurt the U.S., the speech excerpts show the former first lady saying a “concerted plan” to increase trade will be necessary moving forward.

He is on record as saying people would ideally be able to drive through one country to another without borders. That makes him the open borders candidate.

You really are a mess. I gave you evidence, and you've offered nothing but you're usual nonsense. Hillary wasn't open borders back in the DLC days, but the Dems purged the moderate wing, and she then flipped to open borders. Hell, they all used to be for a border wall, but by 2016 they and the GOP for that matter...were open borders.

Gary Johnson on Immigration
http://www.ontheissues.org/2012/Gary...mmigration.htm

Open the border; flood of Mexicans would become taxpayers

Q: What is your view of the immigration issue?
A: Hispanics who immigrate care about their families like other Americans care about their families. They're living in poverty in Mexico and can come to the US and do a lot better.
Q: By--according to some--taking away jobs.
A: They work the lowest-paying jobs. And they are taking jobs that other Americans don't necessarily want. They're hardworking people who are taking jobs that others don't want. That's the reality.
Q: Would you open the borders and make it easier to immigrate legally?
A: My vision of the border with Mexico is that a truck from the United States going into Mexico and a truck coming from Mexico into the United States will pass each other at the border going 60 miles an hour.[color=red] Yes, we should have open borders.[color]

Q: Many Americans fear the flood of immigrants that would follow.
A: They would become taxpayers. They're just pursuing dreams---the same dreams we all have. They work hard. What's wrong with that?

That was a truly awful open borders bill Trump signed. All for 50 miles of fencing, what a disappointment.

An average US citizen committs that much less murder than people coming up out of central america. Why on earth would you WANT that flooding into the country? Not just that but youre not talking about legal immigrants which puts those illegally coming in at an even worse subset of people. The people in central america willing to break our countries law as the first thing they do upon coming here...

I'm pretty sure his veto power didn't even apply. Congress failed him, he'll have to do it for himself, for the future of the country.

He's not involved in the negotiation, didn't make the case against the bill. You think if he told Mitch and other Rs he was going to go on Fox and rip the open borders provisions of the bill, they wouldn't reconsider?

Then no need to pass a “gun control executive order” if we are following the states current laws. That’s a rather silly point.

Now please find me where the constitution says “we are a nation that will not secure our borders or build a wall” or something of that effect.

You can’t. It doesn’t exist.

I can show you where it says we have a right to bear arms.

Stop twisting ****. You’re being intellectually dishonest acting like they are the same.

The president doesn't write laws. If people are upset at Congress, then they should stop voting the same politicians in every election. All the whining is pointless because most of you will just say you won't vote in the next election...thus keeping the same people in power. So really, grab a kleenex

I think open borders is the most ideal solution. The problem lies in welfare. Open borders would work, but only with the elimination of incentives that are carried by the tax payer. If the incentives were geared towards those who worked hard, that who we would attract.

Until then, strong border security is absolutely essential.

No they wouldn't.

This isn't on Trump in the slightest.

It's on highly corrupt Congress and all of us American citizens who've allowed it to get to this.

These problems will plague us and only get worse as long as we allow it to continue. The financial corruption of our representatives in DC isn't gonna fix itself.

Welfare is a big problem with open borders but it's not the only one.

As long as we live in a competitive world with competitive countries and competitive ideologies competing against us, which is forever, then we will have to have secure borders if we expect to survive.

Countries without open borders will only survive as long as their competitors allow it.

Veto it, rip the bill publicly and make them overturn it. If he did that, he would be blameless. Trump is making it easier for Mitch to win reelection by signing this bill. Do you not understand that? If Trump made him overturn a veto on an open borders bill, it would make a primary challenge much more likely to succeed.

Really? Trump declared a national emergency despite the GOP not really backing it. Not much more one man can do to push for fixing the border than he's done the past 3 years. The swamp exists because people expect miracles from the president and vote the swamp into Congress every 2 years.

Why are we three years in before even making an immigration push? Because Trump believed Paul Ryan when Ryan told him, he'd get the wall. Who would believe that open borders snake? This should have been done the first year. Regardless the bill was absolutely terrible. Should have veto'd it and got the entire funding from the national emergency.

Even regarding just the fencing aspects of the bill, local governments can block its construction if they don't want it. So it handcuffs the president and is open borders crap. Veto. If it's overturned so be it.

So you wanted Trump to declared a national emergency as soon as he got into office, and with a GOP congress? lol. And a Trump veto would just be overturned. The GOP congress doesn't want a shutdown. trump isntead signed the bill, and got Mitch to back the national emergency.

No offence, this isn't directed at you. But in general, many on the Right are dumb when it comes to politics. They want every illegal deported tomorrow, they wanted Obamacare ripped magically by the president...despite McCain changing his vote, they want no taxes in any bill ever, and also for the President to shutdown the government indefinitely unless that's the case. Any deviation means that America is doomed.

The only issue that matters right now is immigration. It is the disease that is causing a permanent leftward shift in this country. Absolutely Trump should have gone to battle with Mitch and Ryan over immigration right away. They played him, they kept telling him he'd get his wall later to placate him.

Derpy derp. Derp derp.

Miscers hysterical screeching idea of open borders isn't exactly what Johnson was getting at. Just like your idea of border security isn't exactly what you're getting from Trump.

He just said they all have the same dreams and should just come in. Nothing hysterical about it, it's open borders plain and simple.

I completely agree on Congress, but you're wrong not to place any blame on Trump.

He told us how easy it would be to fix this, and that was a lie. He said he would do it, and that was a lie. He can veto this bill. If it's overruled by votes, then so be it, but at least he remained loyal to his agenda and took his case to his supporters rather than selling them out to the same Washington establishment you complain about.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
