Again, it’s possible to break the jaw easily like that.

This is a guy who makes videos of him squeezing watermelons and random objects to demonstrate his squeeze power.

I myself could literally break someone just holding them like that. Ben has some legit slow twitch capacity too.

Yes because it's one of those fights were adversity was displayed after an initial onslaught that was eventually overturned.

I think if ben just blanket him the whole fight most would have said it's boring.

Lawler's arm limp looks similar to when Jones choked out Machida. Dude was out. Even if it was just for a second, such as a flash KO, he was out enough for Herb to call it.

Its another one of those calls that if the ref had of let it go on ten seconds longer people would be raging that their job is to protect the fighter...I can hear it now "He went limp 20 seconds age. HB SUCKS....Thats brain damage right there!"

These situations are literally no win. In my personal opinion if a fighter goes limp, the fight gets called..

Fully agree. He was out. Your arm does not just fall like that when you're conscious and contracting your muscles.

Wanted Robbie to win but I wasn't super upset with that stoppage. Seemed legit at that moment in time.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one.

The preponderance of evidence seems to point pretty clearly to his claim that Jones is indeed a scumbag.

Drugs, DUI's (and therefore a lack of concern for the safety and the lives of others), lying, death threats, cheating both in and out of competition, and the utter lack of remorse for it all make it seem pretty open-and-shut in my opinion.

That doesn't mean he can't change, but as long as there's good guys in sports like DC, there's no reason not to point out the bad guys like Jones in contrast.

You're correct that he never took any real damage. He also wasn't dishing out much damage either most of the time. In those Bellator fights, he would just wrestle the chit out of them. He didn't throw a ton of ground-and-pound, and when he did, it was mostly just light stuff to prevent the fight from being stood up. But he was still learning in those days. Maybe he can do his thing now and can cause more damage in the process. I want to believe too, but I think good strikers with really good footwork are going to piece him up.
I agree with you totally.

I really think Jon might be a sociopath.
Assuming all allegations are true... Him going on to lie / deny them, plus act like a man of god in front of the camera on top of that... Scary imo.

Out or not, Ben has retard strong ogre squeeze for sure.

Ed Strangler Lewis had enough squeeze to put people out with headlocks above the ears.

You're way too emotional about your hero losing to be having this conversation objectively.

Besides, no one is calling anyone a liar. Being unconscious does strange things to a person's brain. Robbie may not even remember being out. But the video does show that he was out.

My interpretation:
Robbie briefly goes out, dropping arm.
Looks like ben repositions a bit (or something), at which point we see hand movement and a thumbs up?

no I actually don't really care that he's cheating, doesn't mean that he isn't a scumbag for it, and these are only just two things over a laundry list.

That might be partially true, not that any mma fighter is my "hero" tho...i just have a lot of respect for Lawler.

I'll give it a shot- why did his arm drop but the rest of his body remained rigid?

Ok even if he did go out for a split second why wasn't he given the opportunity to get his **** together that herp gave Askren after he was basically suplexed onto his head and shoulder and fed hard shots to his face/head while in side turtle mode?

Noneless Robbie was not going anywhere. He wouldve black out again.

Edit - (2nd slide, you'll see robs arm started at the top during the bulldog choke and then go limp)
I feel like you say one thing and than go on to make a case for a stoppage.

Even if we are going to buy Lawler's argument that he was going to wait and let Askren burn himself out in that position, it's 100% on Lawler to make sure he lets Herb know that he is conscious.

Bottom line is to protect yourself at all times. You can't expect the ref to look at your arm go limp and in those critical few seconds determine that you are doing the ol playing dead routine as a strategy.

Those weren’t hard shots lol.

They were fast and desperate but no harder than punching something while you’re in the push up position. Hardly enough to put someone out.

While a broken jaw would

And yes I have the power to break someone’s jaw like that. I have felt the potential lots of times and have to hold back in practice.

Lol...Askren's face says different.

I just watched a longer post fight speech by Lawler- he said he felt zero danger from the head lock and was letting Askeen burn his arms out.

There are probably a thousand ways to break someone's jaw, I get it...do you really think you could break Robbie Lawler's jaw with your two hundred ton press headlock skills and even if you could do you think he'd give af?
