For me it was worth it for one reason only: financial freedom so that I do not have to work anymore. Because what you will never get back as long as you live is time.

My friends that do contract work easily get to 80 hours any chance they get. Long ago when I worked at C&S working 60 to 80 hours happened all the time. C&S selector is a massively labor intensive job.

Stop coping and just say what you know to be true:

100% worth it everytime. Financial freedom creates opportunity for your family and generational wealth does it for the rest of your lineage in history. I think it would be better to argue against why coping mechanisms arent conductive to results at this point. It's almost a waste of my energy to teach at this point.

The real boner of this paradigm is that I know LOTS of people who work their asses off, but aren't rich. My boss has been putting in huge hours for 8 years now. He literally sleeps with his laptop next to his bed so he can get up to answer emails at 3:00AM. He somehow worked 90 hours last week, barely slept.

Yet, not a single promotion in that time. A decade of his life will soon be gone, having barely seen his family or done anything other than slave away for someone else.

So now you take a few. At bare min let’s say a few means 3. If you’re taking a true vacation every 4 months that is far far above average.

2k a month in rent is nothing crazy. Especially if you live with a sig other. 2k a month on 60k salary does not equate to barely scraping by unless you are living outside your means in other areas.

First off $60k per year is basically minimum wage. If you are not making that by 25 you are either lazy or have no skills, both are your fault.

Secondly, $120k yr is still chump change and easily attainable at 40 hrs per week, again if you aren’t lazy and IQ above 85.

Real money starts at $400k, that’s when you can expect to have your life revolve around your job with long hours and sacrifices.

One of my favorite misc trends is everyone going out of their way to pretend low six figures is not a good living.

It also isn’t “easily attainable” at 40 hours unless you’re a dentist or something. Which isn’t an easily attainable career.

Yes many of them are hard workers. Many of them also inherited a lot of money and started to take interest in making more. And ofc there is a group of those that are on social media bragging about the money they didnt earn so people get an ilusion that there are no hard workers, just the lucky ones

If you lose a job as a CEO your odds of forced retirement (as in not ever finding another CEO job again) are ridiculously high. Its why contracts, ridiculous salaries and golden parachutes exist...No one would take a CEO gig without some form of insurance.

No. I was implying that some ppl prefer to work and have an easy life if it means max time with family. I provided a very very simple example and you wanted to argue SO BAD that you over looked it. You then typed this pseudo intellectual post when in reality, I don’t give a damn lol.

People wanting to be a teacher making “not very much” but contributing to society and spending evenings, weekends and summers with family doesn’t mean they don’t wanna “kill it” as originally stated. It just means they prefer more meaningful things than money.
