The misc does realize most rich people are workaholics right?

All I see nowadays are threads on the misc of people complaining about working 40 hours a week at their f***ing job you do you realize that rich people are rich because they’re workaholics they don’t just wake up making tons of money unless they come from a very well-off family and even if they do come from a well offbeat family they’re trained to keep that money by being workaholics. You f****ts got to man up, I’m literally Dublin the amount of money people are making in the exact same job that I have just based off of how hard I work and I work the same hours and far less senority. It’s all about what you put in, If you want to be a wage slave work nothing but overtime, If you wanna be a hustler like me do commission Whatever same principle applies not gonna get anywhere f***ing crying. The problem probably is that your father never beat the living s**t out of you like the pissant you are

Yeah, Elon has talked about his 80-hr weeks.

Keep in mind, though, that their goal is not to just get lots of money just so they can retire. It's because they enjoy the work- the work is the goal, the money is a byproduct. If you look at the Cubans, Zuckerbergs, Buffets etc. of the world, they keep working because they want to.

I've been through both extremes: poor with lots of free time; rich with very little free time. I choose the latter every time.

One day a fisherman was lying on a beautiful beach, with his fishing pole propped up in the sand and his solitary line cast out into the sparkling blue surf. He was enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun and the prospect of catching a fish.

About that time, a businessman came walking down the beach trying to relieve some of the stress of his workday. He noticed the fisherman sitting on the beach and decided to find out why this fisherman was fishing instead of working harder to make a living for himself and his family. “You aren’t going to catch many fish that way,” said the businessman. “You should be working rather than lying on the beach!”

The fisherman looked up at the businessman, smiled and replied, “And what will my reward be?”

“Well, you can get bigger nets and catch more fish!” was the businessman’s answer.

“And then what will my reward be?” asked the fisherman, still smiling.

The businessman replied, “You will make money and you’ll be able to buy a boat, which will then result in larger catches of fish!”

“And then what will my reward be?” asked the fisherman again.

The businessman was beginning to get a little irritated with the fisherman’s questions. “You can buy a bigger boat, and hire some people to work for you!” he said.

“And then what will my reward be?” repeated the fisherman.

The businessman was getting angry. “Don’t you understand? You can build up a fleet of fishing boats, sail all over the world, and let all your employees catch fish for you!”

Once again the fisherman asked, “And then what will my reward be?”

The businessman was red with rage and shouted at the fisherman, “Don’t you understand that you can become so rich that you will never have to work for your living again! You can spend all the rest of your days sitting on this beach, looking at the sunset. You won’t have a care in the world!”

The people I've seen complaining about working 40 hours a week (eg. the Wagecuck meme) don't care about being rich, and don't want to be workaholics. (The wagie/wagecuck/NEET meme seems like a reaction against the workaholic culture promoted by corporations.)

Not everyone is impressed by money.

Most people exaggerate their work hours by 350%. Those who claim to be working 80 hour weeks are more like 50-60. Even so, research shows that productivity falls off a cliff after 30 hours/week. Work should be measured by results, not hours.

Lol my dad (not rich) was loaned 400k dollars to buy his building because his parents were rich.

My parents cant sign for that type of loan

How long do you think it would take me to save up 400k to buy a building based off of a chitty job?

Most people inherit chit. Dead srs. Its like the chitty media about kylie jenner being a self-made billionaire

Im not saying rich guys dont work hard.. At all btw. Im not saying having 2 jobs is a bad idea. Im just saying its easy to stay motivated when you arent working 40 for chitty pay, have a backup plan (money saved up/ parents/ whatever) and arent expected to pay all your bills on 250 a week

Again, what would you do if your parents couldnt sign for a loan and you were supposed to support yourself from 18?

Agreed.

"clocking in at the office" and staying an extra hour means **** all

it's about productivity.. and people vastly overexaggerate their work hours. people on 1 hour lunch breaks or coffee breaks ****ing around small talking does not constitute to spending more time at work.
